WALTERBORO - Matthew Willis Siders, 56, died Tuesday, February 19, 2002, in West Palm Beach, Fla.
The funeral will be 12:00 noon Tuesday (today), February 26, 2002, in the Hamilton's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Siders was born in Walterboro, and was the son of the late Eugene Siders and Mary Aiken Siders Burnett. He attended the public schools in Colleton County and was employed by Daniel Brother Can Company.
Surviving are two daughters, Sabrina Ferguson, Patterson, N.J. and Tara Siders of Philadelphia, Pa.; one sister, Beatrice Parrish, Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Charles Burnett, Jr., Philadelphia, Pa. and Curtis Siders of Walterboro and six grandchildren.

Mary M. Larsen died peaceably at the Bishop Gadsden Retirement Community on Saturday, February 23rd after a short illness. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 18 Thomas Street, Thursday, February 28th, at 11 o'clock. Family will receive friends Wednesday February 27, between 5 and 7 p.m. at 2 Ladson Street, Charleston.
Mrs. Larsen leaves her husband, The Reverend Canon Knud A. Larsen of the Bishop Gadsden Retirement Community; one daughter, Mary Larsen Jordan and her husband, Peter of Redwood City, Calif.; two sons, Col. Daniel M. Larsen and his wife, Rowena of Pasadena, Md.; The Reverend Peter M. Larsen and his wife, Nancy of Southampton, N.Y.; as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

SCRANTON - Mr. Charles Wyman "Chuck" Ussery, 74, died Sunday, February 24, 2002, in a Florence hospital after an illness.
Mr. Ussery was born in Athens, Georgia, a son of the late Wyman H. and Nanny Mae Brown Ussery. He retired from the United States Air Force and the Post and Courier. He was a member of Scranton United Methodist Church, Omar Shriners, American Legion, Lake City Masonic Lodge #193 and an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include, his wife, Frances Dennis Ussery of Scranton; one son, James A. and wife, Tammey Ussery of Waldorf, Maryland; one brother, Bobby B. and wife, Florence Ussery of North Augusta; three grandchildren, Sean M. Ussery, Shaye M. Ussery and Erin K. Ussery, all of Waldorf, Maryland; and a special number of nieces and nephews.

She was a retired retail clerk of a department store, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elloree, where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class, Missionary Society (Ruby Perkins Group), and was a charter member of Elloree Golden Age Club.

Nell C. Wilkins, 92, died Sunday, February 24, 2002, in Charleston. Born June 15, 1909, in Ashburn, Ga., she was the daughter of Elijah Bennet Hamans and Mary Caroline Hamans (nee Clements). She and her husband, the late Stanley Kenneth Wilkins of Bayview Farms of James Island, were founding members of James Island Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilkins is survived by her two sons, John C. Wilkins and George R. "Bubsy" Wilkins, both of Charleston; sister, Cleo Jessee, Modesto, Calif.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. TSGT Walter C. Fulda, 65, USAF (Ret.) of Ladson, husband of Ellen Margaret O'Connell Fulda, died Saturday at his residence.

Mr. Fulda was a career Enlisted Man in the United States Air Force, serving as senior load master with 3500 flying hours. He was a graduate of the Community College of the Air Force and was chief of security at Porsche. He was a member of VFW Post 3433 where he served as past post commander. He also served as past state grand commander MOC. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Surviving are, wife, Ellen Margaret O'Connell Fulda of Ladson; mother and step-father, Dorothy and Henry Kroef of Summerville; daughter, Sharon Bernstein of North Charleston; son, Major Walter John Fulda, USAF, of Montgomery, Ala.; brothers, David Fulda and Bruce Fulda, both of New Jersey; sister, Marion Fitzsimmons of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by a sister, Diane Miller.

Max Ernest McQuoid, 66, of North Charleston, died Monday, February 25, 2002, in a local hospital.

The family will be receiving friends and colleagues from 7-9 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home. Born January 6, 1936 in Pinehurst, N.C., he was a son of the late, Loren Melvin and Lucy Pearl Monroe McCuoid. Mr. McQuoid was an administrative supervisor with Texaco for 41 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a huge Redskins fan. Mr. McQuoid was a member of Metro North PCA Church, Central Ave.

Born in Fort Statsenburg, Pampanga Philippines, on September 5, 1936. A son of the late Mateo Capitan and Amparo Capitan. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He served as a retired federal employee at the Naval Weapons Station. He was a member of the Summerville Lodge Masonry and the Filipino Travelers.
Survived by his wife, Editha Alicando Capitan of Goose Creek, sons, Jeffrey Capitan of Goose Creek, Dean and Julie Capitan of North Charleston, Mark Capitan of North Charleston and Albert Capitan, Jr. of Goose Creek. Brothers, Ernesto Capitan and Rodlto Capitan of the Philippines. Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kayla, Sydney and a cousin Betty Vinlvan. On May 3, 1957, she was united in marriage to Charles Samuel Stouffer, Sr. She was employed by Berkeley County School at Howe Hall Elementary. She leaves us to join her husband, a son, Ronald Lee and a daughter, Marcia Lynn.

LEE, Emma
Emma Jean Lee, 62, of Summerville, died Friday in a Charleston hospital.
A funeral service was held on Monday, February 25, 2002 at 10 o'clock in Knightsville Church of God of Prophecy. Burial was held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Conway. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Knightsville Church of God of Prophecy Building Fund, P.O. Box 2404, Summerville, S.C. 29484.
Born on March 24, 1939, in Conway, S.C., a daughter of the late Fred James Dew and Lettie Carolyn Cannon Dew.
Ms. Lee was a homemaker and a member of Knightsville Church of God of Prophecy. She attended Rosemont High School in North Charleston.
Surviving are a daughter, Marie Cantrell of Summerville; a brother, Henry H. Dew of Summerville; a sister, Nina Stepherson of Summerville; grandchildren, David and Brandon Cantrell and Terianna Cantrell-Guzman of Summerville; great-grandchildren, Angelica Cantrell-Hernandez and Carlos Guzman, Jr. of Summerville.
She was predeceased by a brother, Austin Clark Dew.
