Julia M. Gilyard, 60, of Hilton Head Island, S.C., died Thursday, February 28, at a Beaufort, S.C., hospital.
Ms. Gilyard was born December 28, 1941, a daughter of the late Harry Gilyard and Hattie Caldwell Gilyard. Surviving are her mother, Hattie Gilyard of Harleyville, S.C., four daughters, three sons, five sisters, four brothers, 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2002, at St. Daniel United Methodist Church, Harleyville, S.C. Interment will be in Dorchester Cemetery, Dorchester, S.C.

She is survived by her husband of North Charleston, S.C.; one daughter, Dellafay Chafin of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Charles Eagerton, John Eagerton, and Brad Eagerton, all of North Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Rosie Moore of Liverpool, England; one brother, Patrick Richardson, Jr. of Liverpool, England; and eight grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Italia Wheatley and two brothers, Virgil Wheatley and Hobert Wheatley both of Federalsburg, Md.; one sister, Mary Bonnett of Douglas, Ariz.

Ruby Fulton, 94, of Hanahan, died March 3, 2002, at a local hospital. Services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Born February 1, 1908, in Bloomingvale, Williamsburg County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. Fulton and Ellen Smith Fulton.
Miss Fulton was a retired supervisor with the American Tobacco Company. After her retirement, she moved to her home at Folly Beach. She was a member of Folly Beach Baptist Church, where she was a member of the "39" Sunday School Class.
Survived by sisters, Grace Fulton Boykin, of Goose Creek, Bertha Fulton Tallon and her husband, Harry L. Tallon, of Hanahan, a brother; Thomas Elbert "Doc" Fulton, of Charleston, six nephews, eight nieces, and numerous grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
The family will receive friends, 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.

He was a mortgage banker and Vice President of Continental Federal Savings and Loan, Fairfax, Va. and a World War II Veteran of U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Mortgage Bankers Assn., S.R.A. Chapter 37, National Homebuilders Assn. and Isle of Palms Keenagers.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth C. Fitzgerald of Isle of Palms, S.C., three daughters, Jeanne Ann Funke of Fernandino Beach, Fla., Judith Ann Hunt of Charlotte, N.C. and Kathleen Elizabeth Fitzgerald of Mt. Anthony F. "Frank" Dornetto, age 56, of Flagler Beach, died February 27, 2002 at his residence. He was a native of Pittsburg, Penn. and had lived in Flagler Beach for the past 6 years. Mr. Dornetto was a veteran of the Army having served in the 101st Airborne Unit during the Korean conflict. He worked as an Ironworker and was a member of the Boilermakers International Union and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast.
Private services will be held in Charleston, South Carolina at a later date. CONWAY - David Henry Leavitt Day, age 72, died Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Conway Nursing Center following an illness.
Mr. Day was born in Cambridge, Mass. a son of the late David Henry and Edna Irene Field Leavitt. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a Commanding Officer.
Surviving are his wife, Rochell E. Day of Charleston; two daughters, Karen Day Coats of Aynor and Grace Day Sayre of Conway; one son, Jimmy S. Day of Conway; two brothers, Joe Day of ME and Arthur Day of Mass.; one sister, Ellen Hedberg; two step-daughters, Zoe Siegel of Charleston and Adina Wadsworth of Virginia; two step-sons, Jack Siegel of Atlanta and Sydney Siegel of Fla.; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at GOLDFINCH FUNERAL HOME, CONWAY CHAPEL with the Rev. Tommy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
WYNDHAM, JR., Osceola
PAWLEY'S ISLAND - Osceola Wyndham, Jr., 86, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at a Georgetown hospital.
Mr. Wyndham was born in the Sampit Community of Georgetown County on November 22, 1915, a son of the late Osceola Wyndham and Leila Jane Wilson Wyndham. He was a graduate of Andrew High School and was in the Civilian Conservation Corps for a time. Mr. Wyndham served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He retired as a maintenance general foreman from International Paper Company. Mr. Wyndham was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Georgetown.
Surviving are his wife, Ernestine Mercer Wyndham of Pawley's Island; two sons, Richard M. Wyndham and his wife Alice of Albuquerque, N.M. and Roger O. Wyndham and his wife Rosalind of Pawley's Island; a daughter, Melissa W. Ballentine and her husband John of John's Island; and five grandchildren, Allie, Sarah, and Mattie Wyndham, all of Pawley's Island, and Richard and Eliza Ballentine, both of John's Island.
Funeral services will be 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, March 6, 2002, at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Christopher M. Huff. Burial will follow under the direction of the GEORGETOWN CHAPEL OF MAYER FUNERAL HOME.

Mrs. Banov was born December 7, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of Henry Landesman and Blanche Maybaum Landesman. She was a graduate of Goucher College, Baltimore, Md., with a pre-med major. She participated on the boards of the USO Travelers Aid, Families Services, the Community Chest (now the United Way), the Charleston Chapter of the American Red Cross (vice-president in charge of volunteer services), the Charleston Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Charleston Museum, and Porter Gaud. As a member of the venerable Ladies Benevolent Society, she was made an honorary life member, she was historian and president of the South Carolina Medical Alliance. She served as president of the Southeast Federation of Temple Sisterhoods and Board Member of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods. She became the first woman to become President of the Charleston Section of the National Council of Jewish Women. For her efforts for Hadassah, she received its Myrtle Wreath Award. She also served on the evaluation committees for both the Jewish Community Center and the Charleston Jewish Federation and headed the latter's Jewish Community Relations Committee.
She is survived by her husband of Charleston, S.C.; a son, Alan Banov of Kensington, Maryland; a daughter, Jane B. Bergen of Arlington, Virginia; 2 brothers, Arthur Landesman of Boca Raton, Florida and Herbert Landesman of West Covina, California; 4 grandchildren, Jessica L. Banov, Rachel K. Banov, Leah S. Bergen and Joel H. Bergen.

She is survived by a daughter, Duval B. Acker of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; a son, P. Whaley Baynard, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and 3 grandchildren, Emily Duval Acker, Dr. Ruth Lord and Christopher W. Baynard.
