DUBLIN, N.C. - Josie Bellwood Skinner, 87, died Friday, March 1, at Bladen County Hospital. She was a devoted and loving partner in ministry with her husband for over 46 years and celebrated 64 wonderful years of marriage with him.
Graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 3, at Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
Survivors include, husband, Reverend James Don Skinner of Dublin; daughter, Gayle S. Brown and husband Gene, of Elizabethtown; son, Gerald Skinner and wife, Joann of Jacksonville; sister, Bonnie Rhodes of Shreveport, La.; sister, Dorothy Birkhoff of Greenville, S.C.; sister, Johnnie Gettys of Columbia, S.C.; brother, Melvin Bellwood of Greenville, S.C.; four grandchildren, Reggie Skinner of Raleigh, Dr. Gene Brown II, and wife Cynthia of Charleston, S.C., and Matthew Brown and Emily Brown of Raleigh; two great-grandchildren, Mary Peyton Brown and Samuel James Brown of Charleston, S.C.

Rebecca F. "Becky" Holcombe, of Goose Creek, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Hanahan. Born November 23, 1915, in Parlors, S.C., she was the daughter of Benjamin and Evelyn Felder (nee Parler). Mrs. Holcombe was a homemaker, and nurse. She and her late husband, Carl T. Holcombe, owned and operated Holcombe's Garage and Body Shop in North Charleston. She was a member of the Goose Creek United Methodist Church and St. Johns United Methodist Church, Johns Island. She is survived by her son Carl T. Holcombe, Jr., and his wife, Marina of Goose Creek; and two granddaughters, Jessica Holcombe and Michelle Stanley. Funeral services will be held, 11 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2002, in the chapel of MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd. Interment will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, at Jerusalem Cemetery, Santee, S.C. The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 7, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Walter Martin Manning, 67, died Monday, March 4, 2002.
Mr. Manning was born in Colchester, Vermont, a son of the late Gerald Vernon and Elizabeth Ann Davies Manning. He was retired warehouse manager with Global Associates and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include, one daughter, Lori Manning of Patrick, S.C.; three granddaughters, Nikki Manning of Patrick, S.C., Tara Manning and Dena Manning of Charleston, S.C.; three brothers, George Manning, Howard Manning, and David Manning; one sister, Geraldine Marquardt.

Mrs. Banov was born December 7, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of Henry Landesman and Blanche Maybaum Landesman. She was a graduate of Goucher College, Baltimore, Md., with a pre-med major. She participated on the boards of the USO Travelers Aid, Families Services, the Community Chest (now the United Way), the Charleston Chapter of the American Red Cross (vice-president in charge of volunteer services), the Charleston Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Charleston Museum, and Porter Gaud. As a member of the venerable Ladies Benevolent Society, she was made an honorary life member, she was historian and president of the South Carolina Medical Alliance. She served as president of the Southeast Federation of Temple Sisterhoods and Board Member of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods. She became the first woman to be elected president of the Temple K.K. Beth Elohim Congregation and served as president of the National Council of Jewish Women. Another distinct honor, she was the first woman to be elected to membership in the historic Hebrew Orphan Society, which was founded in 1801. For her efforts for Hadassah, she received its Myrtle Wreath Award. She also served on the evaluation committees for both the Jewish Community Center and the Charleston Jewish Federation and headed the latter's Jewish Community Relations Committee.
She is survived by her husband of Charleston, S.C.; a son, Alan Banov of Kensington, Maryland; a daughter, Jane B. Bergen of Arlington, Virginia; 2 brothers, Arthur Landesman of Boca Raton, Florida and Herbert Landesman of West Covina, California; 4 grandchildren, Jessica L. Banov, Rachel K. Banov, Leah S. Bergen and Joel H. Bergen.

HAMPTON, S.C. - Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie" Sanders Warren, 73, wife of Homer M. Warren, died Wednesday morning at her residence at 310 Crooked Creek Road in Hampton after an extended illness.
Born April 26, 1928 in Bamberg County, she was the daughter of the late John Benjamin Sanders and Dayton Helen Polk Sanders. Mrs. Warren was a graduate of Ridgeland High School, a homemaker and a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Hampton where she was active in the Women's Missionary Union and was also a member of the choir.
Surviving besides her husband of the home are son and daughter-in-law, Don and Janice Warren of Hampton; daughter and son-in-law, Glynis Warren Ragan and Dr. Francis Avery Ragan of New Orleans, La.; 1 brother, Oswald Sanders of Chambursburg, Pa.; 2 sisters, Letha Sanders Carter of North Charleston and Violet Sanders Gunnells of Mt. Pleasant; 4 grandchildren, Kelli Ragan Franklin of Alexandria, Va., Trey Ragan of New Orleans, La., Drew and Brian DeLoach of Hampton. There are 14 nieces and nephews and 33 great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hampton, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Greg Clements and directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME of Hampton. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery.
