Audrey Elizabeth Grice age 9, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 8, 2002. She was born on Sunday, July 12, 1992, in Atlanta, Ga., a daughter of Dr. George Daniel Grice, III, and Dr. Charlene McCutchen Grice. She attended the 4th grade at a Charleston Day School and was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church on Sullivan's Island. Audrey was a beloved, active and enthusiastic child. She played basketball for her school, enjoyed tennis and her computer. She was a talented artist and recently learned to downhill ski. Audrey leaves behind her parents, Drs. George and Charlene Grice; a sister, Emma Louise Grice; a brother, George Daniel Grice, IV, all of Mt. MOSIMANN, Elise
Elise Madeleine Mosimann of Charleston, died Saturday, March 9, 2002 at a local hospital. She was the daughter of Thomas Francis and Elise de Vineau Mosimann. She was a graduate of the College of Charleston and the Emory University School of Library Science. She was a librarian at St. Andrews High School and Winthrop Training School. Later she returned to Charleston and was a librarian at Memminger High School and Murray Vocational High School. She was also Supervisor of Elementary School Libraries in Charleston. She was head of the Extension Department of the Charleston County Library and later became head of the Children's Department from which she retired. She loved children and young people and many loved her. She served as President of the South Carolina Library Association, President of the Charleston Pilot Club and President of the Charleston Deanery of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. She was very active in her church, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. She sang for many years in the adult choir, under the direction of her mother. She worked actively with the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Mercy, driving to the mission on John's Island and assisting them with transportation when needed. She was a counselor at Camp St. Mary's for many summers. She is survived by four sisters, Octavie Mosimann of Chicago, Ill., Louise M. Smith of Mt. Pleasant, Lillie M. Sexton of Fairfax, Va., Denyse M. Mouzon of Alexandria, Va. and one brother, James E. Mosimann of Rockville, Md., 24 nieces and nephews and numerous grand nieces and grand nephews. Charlotte Wagener Howe, 94, died Saturday March 9, 2002 at a hospital in Charleston, S.C. Born June 25, 1907 in Charleston she was the daughter of the late Osgood Madison Howe, Sr. and Cherrie Lou Wagener Howe. She attended Bessie Tift College in Forsyth, Georgia. Miss Howe was an accomplished violinist. She was a millinery buyer and designer for a firm out of New York for many years. She later returned from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Davenport, Iowa. Cecil Wesley Carroll, age 74, of North Charleston, died March 9, 2002, in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Born in Charleston County, he was a son of the late Howell M. and Morine Canady Carroll. Mr. Carroll was a graduate of Clemson University Class of 1949 with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Mr. Carroll retired from Southern Division Naval Facilities and engineering command as the design division Electrical Branch Manager, he later then worked as a consultant for James Island County Park. Mr. Carroll, a long time Scouter, he helped form Pack and Troop #463 at Conesbury United Methodist Church, and was awarded the Silver Beaver and the Vigil in the Order of the Arrow. Mr. Carroll was one of the Founders of Chatooga Lake Club, and a charter member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Mary T. Caroll of the home, one daughter, Sarah Brooks of North Charleston, two sons, Glen Carroll of Knightsville, Bruce Carroll of Sersota, Fla., one sister, Jewell Brown of Ravenel, also four granddaughters, one grandson, two step-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters, and two nephews and three nieces.

SINGLETON, Harold
Mst. Sgt. Harold Singleton, U.S. Air Force retired, age 73, of Goose Creek, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Born in Asland, Ky., he was a son of the late Russell and Frances Huguenot Singleton. Mr. Singleton was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served during W.W.II, Korean, and Vietnam Wars, and then later worked for S.C. Poston Company and Adams Construction.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother he is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Anderson Singleton of the home, six daughters; Sandy "David" Wellington of Michigan, Debbie "Mike" Hanahan, of Seattle, Wash., Tina "Dave" Beadles of Battle Mountain, Nev., Juile "Robbie" Barrineau of Goose Creek, Jean "Danny" Sullivan of Hanahan, Elizabeth "Ronnie" Peek of Simpsonville; four sons, Jeffrey "Dee" Singleton of Monroe, Mich., Harold L. "Ashlie" Singleton of Shalimar, Fla., Bill "Bonnie" Adams of Holly Hill, and Eulis Alfred "Laurie" Adams of Morehead, Ky.; one brother, Gene Singleton of Hillard, Ohio; 18 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, 14 nieces and 12 nephews.
Mr. Singleton was predeceased in death by four brothers and four sisters. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, S.C. 29406. JOHNSON, Robert
Mr. Robert Lee "Shorty" Johnson, 72, of 1063 Turner Expressway near Estill, died early Sunday morning at a Charleston hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Johnson was born in Millen, Ga., December 31, 1929, a son of the late Jasper Green Johnson and Bertha Lee James Johnson Parten. He had retired from the Town of Estill Maintenance Department and also had worked with Lawton Oil Company in Estill. He served in the Georgia National Guard and attended the Baptist Church.
Surviving are, two daughters, Tracy Johnson of Macon, Ga., and Brenda J. Crowe of Columbia; two brothers, James Johnson of Estill and Emerson Johnson of Augusta, Ga.; and one sister, Eloise Ginn of Estill. There are two grandchildren and a number of nieces nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, in the chapel of PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Rholetter and Rev. Jim Johnson, with burial following in the Rosemary Baptist Church Cemetery in Millen, Ga.
Friends may call at the Chapel in Hampton from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, and Tuesday until the hour of service.

JACKSON, Ethel
MCCLELLANVILLE - Ethel Lucille Morris Jackson, 83, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Jackson was born in McClellanville on December 14, 1918, a daughter of the late John James Morris and Harriette Ackerman Morris. She was a longtime care-giver for elderly residents of McClellanville and retired from St. James Health Center in 1991. Mrs. Jackson was a member of McClellanville Assembly of God and had been a Sunday School Teacher.
Surviving are, her husband, Joel P. Jackson of McClellanville; a son, Burnett P. Jackson of McClellanville; two daughters, Harriette J. Fort and Carole J. Allen, both of McClellanville; a brother, Larry Morris of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Julia Thomas and Myrtle Gaskins, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Mary Stone of McClellanville; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, March 12, 2002, in McClellanville Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael F. Schumpert. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery in Awendaw under the direction of the Georgetown Chapel of MAYER FUNERAL HOME.

MAULDIN - Kerry Bryce Walton, 37, husband of Aundrea Gaddy Walton, of 215 Pinecrest Dr., Mauldin, died Friday, March 8, 2002, in Greenville.
Born in Charleston, S.C., he was a loving husband, daddy, son and brother. He was an avid outdoorsman and a salesman with Upstate Cars of Easley. Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother and step-father, Eunice Brewer Adams and John Q. Adams, III of Seneca. twin sons, Parker Bryce and Kyle Harris Walton of the home; a sister, Kelli W. Steely of Pendleton.
