ROBINSON, Henry
S. PLAINFIELD, N.J. - Henry Robinson, 72, husband of Evangelist Mary Robinson, died March 6, 2002, in Elizabeth City, New Jersey.
Mr. Robinson was born in Clarendon County, June 8, 1929, the son of Mose Robinson and Lucretia Green Robinson. In his youth he was a member of Liberty Hill A.M.E. Church. He attended the public schools of Clarendon County, he also continued his education in the public schools of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a member of the Holy House of Prayer. Later he joined Corinthian Baptist Church, South Plainfield, N.J.
Survivors include, three sons, Nathaniel Hayward, Terrell Hayward, and Melvin White, all of S. Plainfield, N.J.; six daughters, Cynthia Robinson Brown, Anjela Davis, Deborah Hayward, Kim Hayward, Michell Purcell, and Arlene Green, all of S. Plainfield, N.J.; one sister, Ethel Thompson; two brothers, Warren Robinson and Edward Robinson; 19 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The remains will be placed in the church at 12 noon, Wednesday, March 13. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Liberty Hall, A.M.E. Church, Summerton, S.C. Rev. M.L. Duncan will officiate, assisted by Rev. Henry Mitchell, Rev. Dr. Myra Pearson, and Rev. Betty Johnson. Burial in church cemetery.
The funeral procession will leave at 12:30 from the home of his aunt, Dora Martin Bowman, 4909 Rev. J.W. Carter Road, Manning, S.C.

First Lieutenant Arthur Charles "ACE" Everett, Sr, US Marine Corps (Ret), 81, of North Charleston, husband of Ann Keels Everett died Monday at Life Care Center of Charleston.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2002 at 3 o'clock in Bethany United Methodist Church-Spell Chapel, Summerville. A private entombment will be in Florence Memorial Gardens, Florence, SC.

Mr. Everett attended the University of Nebraska. He was veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict and retired as a Dispersing Officer after 23 years of service. Following military retirement, Mr. Everett served as the President and Manager of the Marine Federal Credit Union at Camp Lejeune, N.C., and retired as President of Seaboard Federal Credit Union in Florence, SC. Mr. Everett was a member of the Summerville Elks Lodge 2719, a Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Summerville.
Surviving are: his wife, 2 sons, Charles Everett, Jr. of Apex, NC, Michael Everett of Linthicum, MD, daughter, Mary Everett Hogan of Salt Lake City, UT, 2 step-sons, David Inman of Hanahan, Dr. Henry R. Camilla Thomasina "Sister" Murphy, 90, of St. Stephen, a retired Berkeley County Dept. of Education Secretary, died Wednesday, at her residence.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Friday in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Bonneau. Final commendation and farewell, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Charleston.
Ms. Murphy was born April 5, 1911 in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of Patrick Joseph Murphy and Agnes Collins Murphy. She attended Bishop England and graduated from St. Stephen High School She worked as an assistant to Dr. William Carroll in Russellville, as a clerk at Allen's Depository of St. Stephen, and as a personnel employee in the Berkeley County School System in Moncks Corner. She then worked part time as a clerk for Oliver-Clarke Furniture Company in St. Stephen. She was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, the Our Lady of Peace Ladies' Guild, the St. Stephen Garden Club and the Gifted Hands quilting group. More than anything, she was a loving daughter, sister and aunt to her family.
Surviving are a sister, Agnes Murphy Wooten of St. Stephen; her nieces and nephews, Mary Murphy Wooten Clark and her husband, John, Carl Marshall Wooten, Anne Murphy Muirheid and her husband, Roger, William Patrick Wooten and his wife, Nancy, Camilla Margaret "Millie" Wooten Wallace and her husband, David, her grand nieces and nephews, Mary Kelly Clark Rudloff and her husband, Bobby, Molly Murphy Clarke Newton and her husband, Greg, Will Muirheid, Elizabeth Muirheid, Patrick Coleman Wooten, Johnson Craig Wooten and Julia Collins Wooten; and by her caretaker, Louise Dingle.

Robert Thompson Spencer, Sr., 86, of the Isle of Palms, died Monday, March 11, 2002 at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2002, in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Directed by CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME.
Born in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, August 28, 1915. He was the son of the late Captain and Mrs. Robert E. Spencer who was the last lighthouse keeper at North Island Lighthouse in Georgetown, S.C. He served in the CCC's in the early 1930's. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard for 35 years and was a superintendent in the public works department.
He is survived by a wife, Kathleen B. Spencer; a son, Robert Thompson, Jr. of the Isle of Palms; a daughter, Frances Pruitt and her husband Vann of Spartanburg; a sister, Geraldine Spencer Hall of Charleston and grandchildren, Ronnie, Brent, Mark, Michael.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Disabled Veterans Association.
