Mrs. Eula Young Price, 83
CARLISLE - The funeral for Mrs. Eula Young Price will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 at Sweet Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Price, 83, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, in Baltimore.
Born in Fairfield County on Oct. 9, 1921, she was one of twin daughters of the late Choner and Bertha Walton Young. A member of Sweet Hope Baptist Church, where she served on the deaconess board and the adult choir, Mrs. Price was educated in Chester County schools. Prior to relocating to Maryland due to failing health, she retired from the Chester County School District as a food service technician.
Survivors include a daughter, Ola Mae Feaster and her husband, Frazier, of Columbia, Md.; three sons, Sammy Louis Price and his wife, Lendora, Donald Price and his wife, Sallie, and Clenzo Price and his wife, Wyonella, all of Chester; two sisters, Beatrice Ellum and Ola Butler, both of New Jersey; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Mack Price; and four children, King David Price, Shirley Harvey, Martha McConnell and Gloria Means.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Donald Price, at 912 Featherstone Road, Chester.
Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Christopher King's Funeral Home, 703 Old York Road, Chester.

Mr. Clyde McCullough, 54
ROCK HILL - Mr. Clyde McCullough, 54, of 113 Apt. B Hillcrest Drive died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Clara Gilmore, at 949 Albert St., Rock Hill.

Mr. Charlie Mack Thompson, 68
CARLISLE - The funeral for Mr. Charlie Mack Thompson of 8077 Ashford Ferry Road will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at Upper Hope Station Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. George Lowry, pastor, will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Thompson, 68, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Born in Fairfield County, he was a son of the late Walter Thompson Sr. and Lillie Coleman Thompson. A former employee of Springs Industries, Zenith Engraving and a logging company, Mr. Thompson was a member of Upper Hope Station Missionary Baptist Church and attended Fairfield County schools.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Mae Thompson; two sons, Willie "Tee" Thompson and his wife, Shirley, and Charlie J. Thompson and his wife, Lawanna, all of Carlisle; four daughters, Fannie Suber and her husband, Troy, of Pomaria, S.C., Marguerite Glasgow and her husband, Stefan, of Newberry, Sherri Thompson of Carlisle and Beverly Thompson of Chester; three brothers, Walter Thompson and his wife, Mary, of Chester, Steve Thompson and his wife, Lucy, of Carlisle and James L. Thompson and his wife, Lillie, of Blythewood, S.C.; a sister, Fannie Jackson of Baltimore; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers.

CHESTER - The funeral for Mr. Harold Dwayne Helms Jr. of 712 Grants Lake Circle was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26 at Second Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Bishop officiated and burial followed in Chester Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Helms, 30, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, as the result of an automobile accident.
Born in Chester on April 18, 1974, he was a son of Harold Helms and Joyce Clack Helms. A member of Chester Second Baptist Church, Mr. Helms graduated from Chester High School and attended Tri-County Technical College and the University of Phoenix. He was employed with Textile Arts and Film.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Daniel Helms; two daughters, Sydney Helms and Gracie Helms of Chester; a brother, Keith Johnson of Chester; three sisters, Karen Wright and Tammie Jacobs, both of Chester, and Carol Brosi of Goldsboro, N.C.; his parents, Harold and Joyce Helms of Chester; his maternal grandparents, J.T. and Pearl Clack of Chester; and his paternal grandmother, Pearl Helms of Indian Trail, N.C.
He was predeceased by a brother, Tony Johnson; and a nephew, Josh Jacobs.

Mrs. Bobbie Alberta Bailey 'Ducky' Polcari, 73
COLUMBIA - Graveside services for Mrs. Bobbie Alberta Bailey "Ducky" Polcari were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 in Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens.
Mrs. Polcari, 73, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004.
Born in Winston-Salem, N.C. and raised in Lockhart, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Buena Bailey. A graduate of Lockhart School, Mrs. Polcari was employed with Southern Bell in Spartanburg and spent three years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. After leaving the Army, Mrs. Polcari took beauty and secretarial training and worked for the IRS. She later owned and operated a children's nursery called Ducky's and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ralph Angelo Polcari; a son, Terrence Ralph Polcari and his wife, Renee, of Bluffton; a daughter, Camilla Bobbie Polcari of the home; three grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Jo Thomas of Chester.

Mrs. Lewis, 83, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at her home.
Born in Chester County on Feb. 10, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Elie Perry and Hattie Hemphill Perry. A member of Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Lewis relocated to Brooklyn, N.Y. and joined St. Peter's Pentecostal Church, where she was a prayer warrior. Upon returning to South Carolina, she united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Blackstock, where she served as president of the Missionary Society. Mrs. Lewis later united with Armenia Baptist Church, where she served until her death.
Survivors include her husband, Oatson Lewis; a son, Raymond McDaniel of Smithfield, N.C.; a daughter, Portia Summers and her husband, Norman, of Columbia; two sisters, Sarah Williams of Blackstock and Evangelist Natasha Mattie Thompson of Rock Hill; and a grandson.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 3176 Shannon Road, Blackstock.
Viewing will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30 and from 9 a.m. to noon today, Friday, at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Roberts, 83, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Born in Sutherland, Va. on Oct. 16, 1921, he was a son of the late John Roberts and Mamie Bland Roberts. A member of Calvary Baptist Church in Patterson, N.J., where he served on the Calvary Community Center Board and the Senior Missionary Society, Mr. Roberts was past worshipful master of St. Paul Masonic Lodge No. 6 in Hackensack, N.J. He was a former member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church in Sutherland, Va. and was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Roberts was a self-employed asphalt contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Louise McClurkin Roberts; a stepsister, Vinie Hamilton of Jamaica, N.Y.; an uncle, Benjamin Bland and his wife, Corine, of Washington Township; an aunt, Vernell Barnett of Hackensack, N.J.; a goddaughter, Monica Stith of Hackensack; and a godson, James Brown Jr. of Owing Mills, Md.

Mrs. Nichols, 55, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Born in Union County on Aug. 31, 1949, she was a daughter of Vernon L. Childers of Union and the late Helen McSwain Childers. She was a former member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Melinda Ann Childers of Union and Mary C. Lanier of Lockhart; a brother, Tommy Childers of Union; three nephews; and two special caregivers, Doris Beam and Patti Stewart.
She was predeceased by her husband, Grady Henry Nichols.

Mrs. Robinson, 90, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at her residence.
Born in Morven, N.C. on June 26, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Lowry and Bertha Holt Lowry. A member of Uriel Presbyterian Church, where she belonged to the Women of the Church, Mrs. Robinson graduated from Morven High School and attended Coker College. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Jill Ligon of Chester and Rachel Crawford and Margaret Whitesides, both of Rock Hill; two sons, Dr. Tom Robinson of Spartanburg and Hal Robinson of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; a sister, Etta L. Eatman of Wilson, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry H. Robinson.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. Facchin, 82, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at his residence.
Born in McCloud, Ca. on April 15, 1921, he was a graduate of McCloud High School. A member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mr. Facchin served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was the owner and operator of J&H Ranch.

Mr. Hardin, 40, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, in Charlotte.
Born in Chester County on Dec. 2, 1963, he was a son of Eli Hardin Sr. and the late Janie Elizabeth Hardin. Mr. Hardin attended East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte and eventually received his GED from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. He completed truck driving school and was employed with KLM Trucking Company for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hardin; a daughter, Natasha Nichole White; four stepchildren, Falah Akiah Peterson, James Pearce, Eddaisha Maske and Lanika Maske; his father, Eli Hardin and his wife, Irene, of Chester; five sisters, Elnora Hardin and her husband, Howard, Hopie Hardin and her husband, Theo, Janie Mae Stewart and her husband, Leon, Judy Hardin and her husband, Rolando, and Pauline Mitchell and her husband, Walker, all of Charlotte; five brothers, Eli Hardin Jr. and his wife, Jenny, John Henry Hardin and his wife, Gloria, Greenberry Hardin and his wife, Tina, and Floyd Hardin, all of Charlotte, and Roosevelt Hardin and his wife, Evelyn, of Myrtle Beach; six step-grandchildren; and two stepbrothers, Tracy Truesdale and Derrick Wright, both of Charlotte.
