CROSS, S.C. - Little Miss Mariah Candace Wigfall, five months old, of Cross, S.C., died April 5, 2002.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Antioch Holiness Church, Cross, S.C. Elder Jesse Reed, Jr., will officiate. Burial in church cemetery. EUTAWVILLE FUNERAL HOME in charge of arrangements.
The daughter of Mr. George Wigfall, Jr., and Mrs. Latoya Wigfall, she was born October 15, 2002.
Survivors include, the parents of the home, sisters, Alicia Wigfall of the home, and Shavonne Wigfall of Moncks Corner, S.C.; brothers, Georgerecco and Andre Wigfall of Moncks Corner, S.C.; the grandparents, George, Sr., and Mariah Wigfall of Cross, S.C.; the great-grandmothers, Ms. Amabel Ruth Ballard of Moncks Corner, S.C., and other relatives and friends.
ANTHONY, Charles
FLORENCE - Charles William Anthony died Sunday, April 7, 2002, in a local hospital after an illness. Born in Orange, N.J., he was the son of Richard Allard and Dorothy Grant. Mr. Anthony graduated from St. Petersburg High School in Florida in 1941 and attended the University of Florida. He served in World War II, where he was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force in Burma, India and China.
Mr. Anthony was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Florence. He was an active member of the Evening Lions Club, where he received the distinguished Melvin Jones Fellow award. He was retired from the S.C. Security Commission after 24 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Melba T. Anthony of the home; four sons, Edward Anthony and Robert Anthony, both of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Steven Anthony of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Terry Anthony of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; ten grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Anthony, of Cocoa Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, in St. John's Episcopal Church, officiated by the Rev. Charles D. Cooper. Burial will be 3 p.m., Thursday, in Elmwood Cemetery in Ft. Lawn, S.C., directed by WATERS-POWELL FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
TISDALE, Jr., Charles
COLUMBIA - Service for Charles Lawrence "Buddy" Tisdale, Jr., 68, will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Willington Road, Orangeburg, with burial in Mateeba Gardens Plantation, Hwy. 61, Summerville, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pets, Inc., 300 Orchard Dr., Columbia, or to McDowell Presbyterian Church, Greeleyville. Mr. Tisdale died Sunday, April 7, 2002. Born in Greeleyville, he was the son of the late Charles Lawrence and Thelma Player Tisdale. A graduate of Greeleyville High School, he attended Clemson College and was a lifelong Clemson supporter. An Army veteran, he served in Korea. He was employed with Sherwin-Williams Paint Store.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Guerard Tisdale; daughter and son-in-law, Rivers Tisdale and Robert Grupp of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; sisters, Betty T. Bradshaw and Dolly T. Oliver, both of Orangeburg and Joyce T. Apple of Malvern, Pa.; granddaughter, Annie Caroline Grupp; several nieces and nephews; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

CAYCE - Services for Sandra Lanette Alexander, 57, of Cayce will be held, 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at CAUGHMAN-HARMAN FUNERAL HOMES, Lexington Chapel, with entombment to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Alexander died Monday, April 8, 2002, after an extended illness. Born in Columbia she was a daughter of the late James and Dora Hagins Knight. She was a special woman, a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Don Alexander of Cayce; sons, Alex Alexander of Leesville and David B. Alexander of Gaston; sister, Kathy Loric of Cayce; brothers, Buddy and Steve Knight of West Columbia and Donald Knight of Columbia; a number of nieces and nephews.

SCRANTON - Mr. Wilmont "Bill" McElveen, 74, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, in a Florence hospital after an illness.
Mr. McElveen was bron in Scranton, a son of the late Treadway and Clydda Dennis McElveen. He retired from G.B. Fermentation Industries of Kingstree,as a Maintenance Engineer. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and a Mason.
Survivors include, his wife, Barbara Wise McElveen of Scranton; one son, Dennis W. (Pam Galloway) McElveen of Murrells Inlet; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Cassandra) Martin of Greenville and Mrs. Bob (Melsa) Matthews of Ladson; eight grandchildren, Will McElveen and Drew McElveen, both of Murrells Inlet, Sara Martin, Will Martin, Christie Martin and Catherine Martin, all of Greenville, Mrs. Sean (Lori) Murphy of Surfside and Mrs. Brad (Becca) Gilbert of Glendale, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Patrick Murphy, Jr. of Surfside and Tristan Gilbert of Glendale, CA.

Phyllis Marcus French, 64, of Moncks Corner, died Monday at a North Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Berkeley Baptist Church. Burial directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, will be in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. French was born March 10, 1938 at Coolwood, West Virginia, a daughter of Roy Marcus and Maybelle Buchanan Marcus. She was a member of Berkeley Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Noah French of Moncks Corner; two sons, Ferlin Neal French and Terry Noah French both of Moncks Corner; four brothers, Roy Marcus of Spartanburg, Daniel Marcus of Richmond, Virginia, Glenn Marcus of Winnsboro, Johnny Marcus of Huntington, West Virginia; three sisters, Dorothy Westbrock of Spartanburg, Betty Taynor of Narrows, Virginia, Reatha Ellison of Pimlico; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Benton of Walterboro, S.C., three sisters, Thelma McDaniel of Louisville, Ga., Betty Hiers of Erhardt, S.C. and Rhumelle Crider of Bamberg, S.C., six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wives, Thelma H. Benton and Dorothy B. Benton, four brothers, Louis, Robert, Irvin and Ladson Benton.

MULLINS, S.C. - Mr. Harry Fulton Davis, 56, husband of Jackie Turner Davis, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Stanley Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis was born February 7, 1946 in Marion County, a son of the late William Oscar "W.O." Davis, Jr. and the late Josie Brymer Davis. Mr. Davis was a general mechanic with Smurfit-Stone, where he had worked for 33 years. He was a board member and vice president of the SCI Credit Union. Mr. Davis was a member of Ariel Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Davis in addition to his wife of the home are, a daughter, Kim Davis of Mullins; a son, Rusty Davis and his wife Ashley of Mullins; a stepson, Mitchell Nolan and his wife Sabrina of Mullins; a stepdaughter, Christy Brewton and her husband of Fritz of Albany, Ga.; 2 sisters, Ann D. Lawrence of Lake City and Lin Davis of Pittsboro, N.C.; 3 brothers, William Brymer of Mullins, Jerry Davis of Sharpsburg, N.C. and Ronnie Davis of Vacaville, Calif.; and 3 grandchildren.

WALTERBORO - Harry "Boogie" Moultrie, 51, died April 8, 2002 in a local Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2002, in W.O.R.D. Ministries Christian Center in Summerville. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Gardens in Ruffin.
Mr. Moultrie was born in Colleton County, a son of the late William Moultrie, Jr. and Elder Mazie S. Moultrie. He received his education in the public schools in Colleton County. He was a member of W.O.R.D. Ministries Christian Center.
Surviving are his wife, Caffey B. Moultrie of the home; two daughters, Tarisha Fields of Columbus, Ga., and Niambi Bell of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons, Imamu Moultrie of Walterboro and Melvin Owens of Moorehead City, N.C.; four brothers, Charles, William Rogers, Earl and John Wesley Moultrie; four sisters, Cecelia Shider, Ethel Ford, Janet Reed and Daisy Belvins.
