LISI, Elsa
Elsa Mae Celli Lisi, 55, died on the morning of Tuesday, April 16, 2002, after a lengthy illness. Private services have been arranged by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL.
Elsa was born in Manhattan, New York, on January 20, 1947, a daughter of Amo Celli and Florence Messing Celli of Brentwood, Long Island, New York. She was the widow of Dominic Lisi and was preceded in death by a grandson, Allen Eugene Peirson, II.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Maria Pierson of Summerville, S.C., two sons, Philip Chiuchiolo, Jr., of Hollywood, Fla., and Michael Chiuchiolo of Long Island, N.Y. Four sisters also survive Elsa, Florence White of Brentwood, Long Island, New York, Brenda Hunter of Tucson, Ariz., and Sabrina Corsione of Quoian, Long Island, New York, and Linda D'Ambrosio of Lynbrook, N.Y., as well as her granddaughters, Jennifer Chiochiolo and Cara Mae Lisi-Pierson. The family is expecting the birth of a grandson, Daniel James Pierson. Also surviving is her significant other, Robert McDowell.
WYNDHAM, Rozelle
HARLEYVILLE, S.C. - Rozelle Graham Wyndham, 82, 120 East Main St., Harleyville died Thursday April 18, 2002 in a Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Harleyville Christian Church with Rev. Bill Ackerman and Rev. John Hucks officiating. Burial will follow at the Harleyville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at BRYANT FUNERAL HOME, St. George. Pallbearers are: Vance Collier, Jr., Franklin Riley, Ernest Westbury, James Simpson, Ben Plexico and Julius Batten. She was born Jan. 14, 1920 in Harleyville a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Collier and Carrie Wimberly Collier. She was a member of the Harleyville Christian Church, Christian Ladies Society, a past President of Harleyville Senior Citizens, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Hills Dale Civic Club. She was the widow of Herman James Graham, Sr. and Woodrow W. Wyndham and was predeceased by a son Marion Thomas Graham. Surviving: Son, Herman J. Graham, Jr. of Harleyville, 3 daughters, Deborah G. Dunning of Clemson, Katherine G. Kinsey of Boiling Springs and Cheryl Lynn Graham of Harleyville: 2 Brothers, Raymond Collier and Vance Collier, Sr. both of Harleyville and 2 Sisters, Iva Knight and Mary Tease Martin both of Harleyville, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Memorials are suggested to the Harleyville Christian Church, Main St., Harleyville, S.C. 29448.

Entered into eternal rest, on April 16, 2002, in Capitol Heights, MD, Mr. Herman B. Cohen, Sr., formerly of 1967 Burton Lane, North Charleston, SC. The beloved husband of Mrs. Yomma T. Cohen, father of Avin (Lizzie) Cohen-Collins, Herman Cohen, Jr., Thomas L. Cohen, Michele Thomas, Eric J. Cohen, Jacqueline Saunders, Townda Mitchell, Brett Cohen, son of Mr. Grant Cohen, Jr. and the late Lucy Cohen Green, nephew of Ms. Mammie Riley of Charleston, SC. The funeral for Mr. Herman B. MCMILLAN, Delores
The Charleston Connection For Better Living invites family and friends to Celebrate the Life of Reverend Delores F. McMillan, who made her transition on April 10, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Celebration of Life Services will take place at Unity Church of Charleston, 2535 Leeds Avenue, Charleston, S.C. on Sunday, April 21, 2002 at 4:00 p.m.
Rev. "Mac", or Rev. Dee" as she was affectionately known, served as minister of Christ Universal Temple (CUT) for many years. CUT is an affiliate of Universal Foundation for Better Living (UFBL), the Reverend Dr. Johnnie Coleman, President Emeritus, Reverend Dr. Mary A. Tumpkin, President. Rev "Dee" served as an outreach minister for UFBL, where she set up ministries in the United States; Guyana, South America; and Trinidad, West Indies. She was also a Bible teacher for Reverend Ike's Ministry.
In 1999 Rev. McMillan arrived in Charleston, SC where she was the Minister/Director of the Charleston Connection for Better Living. She interfaced with many people in this area, teaching classes for members, for ministers, and Bible Study at Unity Church of Charleston.
The Rev. McMillan left Charleston in December, 2001, to establish another ministry in Las Vegas, where she made a peaceful transition, surrounded by the love of her cherished Caretakers on Wednesday evening, April 10, 2002.
Celebration services will be held in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Chicago for this dynamic Bible Teacher Extraordinaire.
GREENE, John
John Mann Greene died April 12, 2002. Funeral services will be held today, Saturday, April 20, 2002, 1:00 p.m. in Montgomery, Alabama. Born to the proud parents of Billie and Mattie Lou Greene on January 25, 1958, John Mann Greene, brought a special light unto our lives.
John Mann Greene, joined into holy matrimony 1981 to Tonya W. Fulton. Together they had one daughter, Kiera La Ron Greene and one grand daughter, Shaniya Harmoni Arn A Ye`. John graduated from Troy State High School in Montgomery, Alabama. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1976 traveling to numerous countries as a Second Class Petty Officer. John later attended Trident Technical Community College in Charleston, SC in 1981 furthering his skills. He was employed by Braswell Shipyards as Certified Rigger, for 16 years. John joined the Christian family of Shiloh AME Church of N. Charleston, SC under watch care of the Rev. Johnny Gathers, Sr in 1981. He came to know Christ at any early age at Shiloh Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama. With loving and cherishable memories, he awaits for the others to follow: a loving and dear daughter, Kiera L. Greene and his granddaughter, Shaniya Harmoni of Charlotte, NC. parents, Mr Billie Greene, Sr and Mattie Lou Greene of Montgomery; sisters and brothers, Ruth Greene of Montgomery, Billie Greene, Vorhees, New Jersey; Henry Greene, Japan; James Earl Greene (Penny) Virginia Beach, Virginia, Paul Greene (Gwen) Columbia, SC; Mary M. Greene, Montgomery; and Willa Mae Thornton (Vernon ) Montgomery.

MOORE, Carol
Carol Jaffee Moore, 57, died Saturday, April 13, 2002, at home in Virginia Beach, VA.
Born September 15, 1944, in Charleston, S.C., Ms. Moore was the daughter of Rose Lipman Jaffee and the late Meyer Jaffee. She was a graduate of St. Andrews Parish High School and Conede Business School and attended the College of Charleston. She was a tax preparer and a former real estate agent.
She is survived by her mother of Charleston, two daughters, Kreela Moore of Virginia, and Kim M. Varchmin of Florida; one son, Mathew Moore of Virginia; two sisters, Janice J. Goldstein and Beverly J. Finkel of Charleston; one brother, David H. Jaffee of Charleston; 6 nephews, 3 nieces and her beloved companion, Charlie VanDusen of Virginia Beach.
Funeral services will be held graveside on Monday, April 22, 2002, at 2:00 pm at Huguenin Avenue Cemetery.

LEWIS, Jacquelyn
Jacquelyn "Jackie" Ann Lewis, 63, of Bonneau, S.C., wife of Leonard Lewis, died Thursday, February 14, 2002 (Valentines Day). Mrs. Lewis was born April 23, 1938, in Shreveport, La., a daughter of Kenneth Ray Thompson and Phyllis Carol Adcock. She was a homemaker who was baptized into the Baptist Church as a girl in Shreveport, lived in Louisiana and Texas, but for the last 30 years in South Carolina and the last 18 years in Bonneau, S.C. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Sunrise Memorial Service, Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at 7 a.m., in Canal Park, between Moncks Corner and Bonneau, S.C. Survivors include her husband Leonard Lewis of Bonneau, S.C., one son, Ronnie Lewis of St. Paul's, N.C., two sisters, Lynn Sopher and husband of Owensboro, Ky., and Mary Petrie and husband of Virginia Beach, Va., two granddaughters, Jessica (14) and Tracie (12), one daughter-in-law, Donna Garrett, all of St. Paul's, N.C. Mrs. Lewis enjoyed talking to friends, Soap Operas, country music, shopping, traveling, good food and unicorns. FELKEL, Walter
ELLOREE, S.C. - Walter Bruce Felkel, 90, died Friday, April 19, 2002, at Allendale Hospital in Fairfax, SC., after an illness.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2002, at Jericho United Methodist Church, Cameron, S.C. Rev. Chris Arries, assisted by Pastor Richard Albert, will officiate. Burial in Jericho United Methodist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by FOGLE-HUNGERPILLER FUNERAL HOME.
Active pallbearers will be Leon Powers, Calvin Strock, Smitty Macks, Boyd Felkel, Billy Bochette, and Doug French.
Mr. Felkel was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Jacob Madison and Daisy Herlong Felkel. He was an Army veteran of W.W.II, was a member of Jericho United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class. Mr. Felkel was married to the late Rebecca Smith Felkel. He was a retired farmer and carpenter.
Survivors include one son, Robin B. Felkel, Summerville, S.C.; one daughter, Wanda F. Amsbaugh, Cordova, S.C.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred F. Shuler, Providence and Jeannette F. Engle, Elloree, S.C.
Memorials may be made to Jericho United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Rosa Mae Troutman, 755 Pickette Level Road, Elloree, S.C. 29047.

HIOTT, Floyd
Floyd Hiott, 73, of Bamberg, S.C., husband of the late Dorothy Lee Barnes Hiott, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at his residence.
Born June 1, 1928, in Bamberg County, Mr. Hiott was the son of the late Floyd (Murk) Milton Hiott and the late Maybelle Axson Hiott. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Bamberg. He was the retired owner of Floyd & Dots Restaurant, and Bamberg Textile Mill. He enjoyed gardening and sports.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 22, 2002, at 4 p.m., at COONER FUNERAL HOME. Burial in Bamberg Memorial Gardens. Rev. Charles Readling officiating.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Survivors inclue, one daughter, Elizabeth (Libby) Truett, of Bamberg, S.C., two step-daughter, Linda Witherspoon of Jacksonville, Fla., Barbara Fitzgerald of Longview, Texas; two sons, Keith Hiott of Denmark, S.C., John (Hank) Hiott of Bamberg, S.C.; one step-son, Jack Horton of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; four sisters, Vinell Croft of Bamberg, S.C., Marion Cooler of Bamberg, S.C., Mary Smith and Patsy Shine, both of West Blockton, Ala.; three brothers, Milton Hiott of Bamberg, Bobby Hiott and Marvin Hiott, both of West Blockton, Ala., 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 21, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Cooner Funeral Home in Bamberg, S.C. Family will receive friends at this residence on the Charleston-Augusta Road, Bamberg.
SMITH, Sr., Allen
Allen Dayton Smith, Sr., 63, of Hwy. 35, Russellville, S.C., a retired machinist supervisor at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, died Saturday in a North Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Monday morning, April 22, 2002, in the Russellville Christian Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the ST. STEPHEN CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. this Sunday evening.
Mr. Smith was born January 26, 1939, in Moncks Corner, S.C., a son of Dalton M. Smith and Pauline Wadford Smith. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Russellville Christian Church. He was a Shriner, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a member of Mt. Hope Lodge #128 AFM. He was a member of the St. Stephen Gun Club and a graduate of St. Stephen High School.
Surviving are, his wife Clara Ann Wilder Smith; his mother of St. Stephen; two sons, Allen D. Smith, Jr., of Moncks Corner and J. Chris Smith of Russellville; a sister, Juanita Shaw of Jamestown; two brothers, Lloyd O. Smith of St. Stephen and Alton E. Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three grandchildren, RobbiAnn, RandiJo, and Ryan.
YOUNT, Jimmy
Mr. Jimmy Oliver Yount, 70, of DuBois St., Bonneau Beach, S.C., a retired machinist with the Charleston Naval Shipyard, died Saturday in a local hospital.
The funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday morning, April 22, 2002, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will be in the Bonneau Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., this Sunday evening.
Mr. Yount was born May 21, 1931, in Granite Falls, N.C., a son of Fred Yount and Alice Smith Yount. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Granite Falls United Methodist Church and a member of the V.F.W. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Cline.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Brinson Yount; a daughter, Terri Alice Hanson of Renton, Wash.; a son, Larry Samuel Yount of Kings Mountain, N.C., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
SWEIGART, Donald
Donald "Don" R. Sweigart, 85, of Sullivan's Island, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at a local hospital. He was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Frank and Anna Claude Sweigart. He graduated from Steele High School and Dayton Art Institute and Corcoran Art Gallery in Washington, D.C. He was an aerographer's mate during W.W.II in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired quality control manager at Litton Industries, then became the vice president for Carolina Packaging and was most recently a starter at Snee Farm Country Club. Don was a very active member of Stella Maris Catholic Church. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Rita G. Lang Sweigart, five sons, Raymond L. Sweigart and wife Kiki of McLean, Va., F. Charles Sweigart and wife Lynn of Winston-Salem, N.C., John A. Sweigart and wife Susan of Hendersonville, N.C., Mark D. Sweigart and wife Donna of Hamilton, Ohio, Matt G. Sweigart and wife Sabine of Grass Valley, Calif., two daughters, Marcia S. Russo and husband Leo of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Beth Baker of Kenly, N.C., two brothers, Col. Bert Sweigert, USAF of Alexandria, Va., James Howard Sweigart of Kentucky, a sister, Sr. Louise Sweigart of Arlington Hgts., Ohio and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1520 Rifle Range Rd., with a rosary service starting at 7 p.m. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at Stella Maris Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m., with interment in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stella Maris Catholic Church, P.O. Box 280, Sullivan's Island, S.C. 29482 or to the Red Cloud Indian School, Pine Ridge, S.D. 57770. McAlister-Smith Funeral Home is serving the Sweigart family.
