Carolyn Gibert Limehouse, 74, wife of Robert A. "Bobby" Limehouse, Sr., of Summerville, S.C., died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at a local nursing center.

HARDESTY, Terry
Terry Lynn Hardesty, 57, of Summerville, S.C., husband of Sharon Elizabeth Murphy Hardesty, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be held at Summerville Church of Christ, Sunday afternoon, May 19, 2002, at 2 o'clock. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summerville Church of Christ, 413 Old Trolley Road, Summerville, S.C. 29485.

HUTTO, Jr., C.W.
HARLEYVILLE - Mr. C. W. Hutto, Jr., 84, of 388 East Main St., Harleyville, died Saturday morning at his residence.
The funeral will be 3 PM Monday, May 20, 2002 in the First United Methodist Church of Harleyville with Rev. Ed Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Harleyville Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2 PM.
Pallbearers will be Doug Hutto, Jason Hutto, Curtis Hutto, Ernest Westbury, Howard Quattlebaum, and Bill Herman.
Mr. Hutto was born in Harleyville a son of the late C. W. Hutto, Sr., and Mabel Utsey Hutto. He was a 1938 graduate of the University of South Carolina, and was a flight engineer in the Navy during World War II. He was former superintendent of the Harleyville Schools and was a retired foreman at Giant Portland Cement Company. He was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Harleyville where was a Sunday School Teacher for 55 years, and held virtually all offices for years. He received the Harleyville Outstanding Citizen award in 1968. He was a member of Egeria Masonic Lodge #71 and the Harleyville American Legion. He was an avid golfer and a member of Holly Hill Country Club where he was club champion for two years. He was a former assistant coach at Mims Academy and Dorchester Academy.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Peggy Ann Dotson Hutto of the home; daughter, Ms. Pamela Belle Cummings of Virginia Beach, Va.; son, Curtis Wesley Hutto, III of Harleyville; sister, Mrs. Eula Mae Doran of Charleston; grandsons, Doug and Curtis Hutto both of Harleyville, and Jason Hutto of Goose Creek; great-grandson, Jackson Hutto of Harleyville; and a great-granddaughter, Savanna Hutto of Goose Creek.
Friends may call at AVINGER FUNERAL HOME OF HOLLY HILL from 6 to 8 PM this Sunday, May 19, 2002.

FORD, Miriam
CHARLESTON - Services for Miriam Lessie Ford, will be held at 11am Monday in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, conducted by Pastor Glen McGugan, with entombment at Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Miracle Hill Ministries, P.O. Box 2546, Greenville, SC 29602-2546 or to Lutheran Hospice, 753 Johnnie Dobbs Blvd., Ste. 100, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ford died Friday, May 17, 2002. Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Beverly Ira and Annie Olivia Lucas Gaites. Formerly of Columbia, she had been a resident here since June 1998. Mrs. Ford retired from Mt. Vernon Mills.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sam T. and Joyce Owens of Charleston; sister, Doris Hyman of West Columbia; brother, Rev. Norwood Gaites of St. Matthews; grandchildren, Kenneth M. Owens, Sam Owens, III, Mark A. Owens, and Jeanine Edmondson; and 6 great-grandchildren.

STEVENS, Bernard
Entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 16, 2002, Mr. Bernard Stevens. Residence, 563 Pritchard Point, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
He was the husband of Mrs. Sharon Stevens. The loving father of Mr. Lucien Stevens and Mr. Ricardo Stevens. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley and Mrs. Mildred Stevens, Sr., the brother of Mr. Stanley Stevens, Jr., the son-in-law of Mrs. Doris Singleton.

JACOBSON, William
BEAUFORT, S.C. - William Frank Jacobson, 81, husband of Kathrine Will Wilson Jacobson, died Saturday at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends Monday at COPELAND FUNERAL HOME. Graveside services will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at the Baptist Church of Beaufort Churchyard.
Mr. Jacobson was born June 2, 1921, in London, England, a son of Alice Wills Jacobson and Percy Jacobson.
He was a retired insurance broker and served in World War II in the Grenadier Guards in England. He attended Carteret Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Beaufort are, a daughter, Susan Rochat of Longmont, Colo.; two step-daughters, Julie Wilson Sineath and Fran Wilson Connor, both of Charleston; a step-son, F. Gray Wilson of Beaufort; a sister, Elise Hough of Vancouver, Wash.; and ten grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Carteret Street United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 788, Beaufort, S.C. 29902.

GLENN, Mary
The late religious rites for Mrs. Mary Glenn will be held Monday, May 20, 2002, 12 noon, at Greater New Hope AME Church, Ridgeville (Givhans Section), S.C., Rev. Theodore Gates, Pastor. Interment, Enoch Cemetery. Her brothers, Messers. Martin, Mike and Hoover Glenn; request her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to attend with them these last rites. WARD, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Ward, 90, of St. George, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in a local nursing home.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2002, in Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, S.C.
Born in Summerville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Charles Lawson Blanton and Lela Driggers Blanton and the wife of the late William Ward. Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include, daughter, Dalphany Barrs, of Hanahan; two sons, Harry Arthur McLeod, of North Charleston, and Charles Allen McLeod, Jr., of North Charleston, a sister, June Limehouse, of Ladson, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., prior to the service, Monday, May 20, 2002, at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, S.C.

MCGILL, Julia
Julia Marion McGill, 97, died Friday in Orangeburg.
Miss McGill was born in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late John Yancey McGill and Emma Ervin Scott McGill. She was a retired salesperson and a member of Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sisters, Mrs. Polly M. Connor of Columbia and Mrs. Helen M. Adams of Kingstree, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Sunday, in Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Tommy Conway and Rev. Tommy McGill. Burial will be in the church Cemetery, directed by WILLIAMSBURG FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be immediately following the services at the Cedar Swamp Schoolhouse Community Building. Memorials may be made to Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church or the Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg.

MCCLAIN, William
William Manly McClain, 75, of Charleston, retired owner of McClain Music Store, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at local nursing home. He was born on Friday, November 5, 1926, in Inman, S.C., a son of Henry Scott and Myrtle Manly McClain. He attended the University of South Carolina and served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy, receiving the Victory Medal. Mr. McClain was a Mason as well as a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir for many years. He is survived by three sons, Scott McClain of Charleston, David McClain of Hobe Sound, and Bill McBride of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren, Skylar McClain, Daniel McClain, Brian McBride , Kate McBride and Bill McBride. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, May 20, 2002, between 5 and 7 p.m., at the JAMES A. MCALISTER FUNERAL HOME, 1620 SAVANNAH HWY. Funeral services and burial will be private. EDGE, Festus
Festus Erwin Edge, 81, a retired Superintendent with the New York City Housing Authority and husband of Dorothy Byrne Edge, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at a local nursing home. He was born on Wednesday, March 30, 1921, in Clinton, N.C., a son of Ernest Book and Mary Butler Edge. After attending schools in North Carolina he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and saw action at the Battle of the Bulge, Normandy, and the invasion of Germany. He was proud of his 30 years of service to the city of New York Housing Authority, his military service and most of all his family. Mr. Edge will be missed by his loving wife, Dorothy Byrne Edge of Charleston; three sons, Ernest J. Edge of Charleston, John W. Edge and Gary T. Edge of New York, N.Y.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mattie E. Drew, Billie E. Smith, Mary E. Salapatek and Mary E. Ridella all of Georgetown, S.C., Betty E. Convertino of Charleston, and Maxine E. Wesselman of Sunderland, Md.; one brother, Sanford C. Edge of Georgetown, S.C. Funeral services and burial will be private. SMITH, Charles H.
Charles Hunter Smith, 88, of Hanahan, husband of Lucille Horton Smith departed this life Friday evening, May 17, 2002.
Funeral service will be held Monday, May 20, 2002, at 10 o'clock in James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will be held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock in Oakland Cemetery, Gaffney, S.C.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o'clock this evening.
Mr. Smith was born on March 14, 1914, in Lancaster, S.C., a son of the late Charles H. Smith and Annie Fassox Smith.
Mr. Smith attended schools in Blacksburg, S.C. He was retired welder with Westvaco and a member of the Westvaco Retirement Club. Mr. Smith attended North Bridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are, his wife of Hanahan, son and daughter-in-law, Alfred and Olivia Smith of North Charleston, two sisters, Doris Harmon of Gaffney, S.C., Mary V. Dixon of Charleston; one brother, Paul Smith of Rhode Island; several step-children, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

CADWELL, Donald
Donald "Don" David Cadwell, 65, of Summerville, husband of Susan Barbour Cadwell, died Friday evening at his residence.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 20, 2002, at 4 o'clock in Bethany United Methodist Church, Summerville. Burial will be private.
Friends may call at the funeral home, from 4 until 6 o'clock this afternoon.

Mr. Cadwell was born December 1, 1936, in Houston, Texas, a son of the late James Vance Cadwell and Martha Tate Cadwell.
He received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston. He served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant with the 10th Special Forces Group in Bad Holtz, Germany.
He was the Director of Process Control Systems with Bayer Corporation. He attended Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville.
Surviving are, his wife of Summerville; two sons, David Cadwell of Summerville, David Barbour of Summerville; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Stephen Bradley of Davidson, N.C.; daughter, Rebekah Barbour of Summerville; grandchildren, Stephen Duncan Bradley and Anne Catherine Bradley of Davidson, N.C.; sister, Billie Rae Koop of Edna, Texas.
