Mrs. Bunce was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, a daughter of Carl Jorgensen and Betty Hedin Jorgensen. She was a Registered E.R. Nurse from Charleston Memorial Hospital and M.U.S.C. She was Past President of the International Club of Charleston, and a volunteer interpreter for the State Ports Authority. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she was also a member of the choir. She was a recipient of the R.N. of the Year for the S.C. Emergency Nurses Association.
Surviving are her husband, William (Bill) Vann Bunce of Edisto Island, S.C.; two daughters, Lisa Bunce of Summerville, S.C., and Tina M. Vaughan of Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Birte Hagedorn of Jutland, Denmark, and Bettina Hansen of Copenhagen, Denmark; two grandchildren, Christopher and Mikayla.

KIMBALL, Frederick
Frederick Osgood Kimball, 78, husband of Elizabeth Macmurphy Kimball of Mt. Pleasant, SC died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 in a local hospital. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Osgood Kimball are invited to attend the funeral service of the former at the graveside, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 4:00 o’clock. Mr. Kimball was born in Bridgeport, Conn., the son of Ralph E. and Lucille W. Kimball. He was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. He was also a member of East Cooper Outboard Motor Club and member of VFW Post 10624.
Surviving are his wife of Mt. Pleasant, SC, one daughter, Mary K. and her husband, Gary F. Bohlen, one grandson, William Frederick Bohlen, all of Spartanburg, SC and several nieces and nephews.

TUCKER, Frederick
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Frederick Ewart Tucker died May 21 at his home in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Mr. Tucker was born in East McKeesport, Pa., in 1925, the son of William Ewart and Winifred Holman Tucker. He served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific in W.W.II, including service at Iwo Jima. He graduated from Mount Union College in 1949 with a degree in chemistry. In 1947, a Mount Union he married Betty Jane Ryan of Steubenville. He worked for National Steel and its successor National Intergroup for 35 years, beginning in quality control in Weirton, moving into pollution control and regulatory affairs in Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. He ended his career in 1987 as Senior Vice President, National Intergroup, Inc.
He was an avid golfer and a member of Laurel Valley, Congressional, Burning Tree, Williams and Kiawah Island Clubs. He was active in the Methodist Church where he directed the church choir at First United Methodist in Weirton during the 1950s and 60s and supervised a major expansion of the church in the 1970s.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Jane, 103 Shoreline Drive, Hilton Head Island, S.C. 29928; two sons, William of Gainesville, Fla., and Paul of Wheeling; a daughter, Kathleen Kuzlor of Sycamore Valley, Ohio, and seven grandchildren.
Private services are planned at Hilton Head.

Johnnie Mae Mack Britt, 73, of St. George, S.C., died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro. The funeral will be at 3 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2002, in St. Mark Baptist Church. Burial, directed by BROWN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, will be in Britt Cemetery.
Mrs. Britt was born in St. George, S.C., a daughter of the late John and Lula Mack. She was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church. She was married to the late Leroy Britt.

JOHSONVILLE, S.C. - Willie Mae Morris Owens, 58, wife of Damon Owens, died Friday, May 24, 2002, in a Florence hospital.
Mrs. Owens was born in Williamsburg County, a daughter of Essie Altman Morris and the late Habert Willie Morris. She was a retired inspector with Hemingway Apparel Mfg. Co., a member of the Westside Original Free Will Baptist Church and was a graduate of Johnsonville High School.
Surviving are her husband, Damon Owens of the home; two sons, Alan Owens of Johnsonville and Brett Owens of Columbia, S.C.; brother, Barry Morris of Zebulan, N.C.; three sisters, Betty M. Latta of Goose Creek, S.C., Frances M. Tanner and Cheryl M. Scott both of Hemingway.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Grady Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the Westside Original Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by MORRIS FUNERAL HOME OF HEMINGWAY, will be in the Grier Cemetery.

SHERMAN, Mark
Private graveside services for Mark Barry Sherman, 54, were held in Beth Shalom Cemetery, Arcadia Lakes, Columbia, DUNBAR FUNERAL HOME, DEVINE STREET CHAPEL, COLUMBIA, is in charge.
Mr. Sherman died Wednesday, May 22, 2002. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he was a son of the late Victor and Lenore Halpern Sherman. He formerly worked in hotel management and was a member of a Columbia Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are daughter, Shanon Sherman of Mt. Pleasant; and brothers, Craig D. Sherman of New York City and Scott E. Sherman of Mt. Pleasant.
MOISE, Davis
SUMTER, S.C. - Dr. Davis DeLeon Moise, husband of Emily Cribb Moise, died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at his home.
Born April 4, 1917, in Sumter, he was the son of the late David DeLeon Moise and the late Anita Harby Moise.
Dr. Moise was educated at the University of Maryland and Duke University and received his doctor of medicine degree from Duke in 1942. He served his country in the U.S. Army Engineer Corps as a battalion surgeon in the Pacific Theatre during World War II and received the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Star, the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. In 1945, he became a major in the reserves.
He served a surgery residency at Watts Hospital, Durham, N.C., and held memberships in the state medical societies of North Carolina and South Carolina. He was a member and former president of the Sumter-Clarendon-Lee Medical Society.
Dr. Moise practiced general surgery from 1949 until 1982 in Tuomey Hospital, where he organized and became chairman of the Cancer Clinic and also organized and trained ambulance drivers in the first class of emergency medical technology. He had served as a chief of the medical staff at Tuomey Hospital. After retiring from his surgery practice, he worked with the Santee-Wateree Mental Health Center, where he retired in 1998. Dr. Moise was instrumental in founding and maintaining the Tuomey Medical Library, which was named for him. He had also served as chairman of the Sumter County and South Carolina regional blood programs, chairman of the Sumter County Red Cross, a board member of the Civic League Milk Fund, a section leader of Professional Citizens for United Appeal and was instrumental in founding the Sumter County Mental Health Center.
An Eagle Scout himself, he was very active with the Boy Scouts. He served as chairman of the Sumter-Lee-Shaw Boy Scouts of America in 1960.
Dr. Moise was presented the Order of the Palmetto in 1998 by the governor. The South Carolina General Assembly also honored Dr. Moise for his service to the community.
He was a member of Temple Sinai, where he served as secretary, vice-president, and president of the Men's Club. He had been a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Fortnightly Club and the Cotillion Club.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Deal Purnell Moise, whom he married in 1946, and by a daughter, Sarah "Sally" Moise.
Survivors besides his wife of Sumter include three sons, David DeLeon Moise, Jr., of Columbia; John DeLeon Moise and his wife Lynn of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Mare Cribb Moise and his wife Connie of Palm Dale, Calif.; a sister, Virginia Moise Rosefield of Charleston, formerly of Sumter; two nieces, Anita Rosefield Rosenberg of Charleston and Margaret Moise Moses of Sumter; a nephew, Herbert Aaron Rosefield of Raleigh, N.C.; cousins, and six grandsons, Taylor Davis Moise, Preston Scott Moise, William Lee Moise, John Ross Moise, Samuel Abraham Moise and David Aaron Moise.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at Temple Sinai with Rabbi Robert Seigal officiating.
Burial will be in the Sumter Jewish Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Abe Stern, Harby Moses, Dr. Jack Rhame, Robert Moses, Richard Moses, Dr. Julian Abbott, and Dr. Charles Andrews.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sumter Kiwanis Club and the Mount Vernon Coffee Club.
The family will receive friends at the home, 14 Moise Drive.

GALIVANTS FERRY - Truluck Cook, age 63, of 7th Avenue, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at his residence following an illness. Mr. Cook was born in Aynor a son of the late Quentin and Corine Johnson Cook. He was a member of Aynor Baptist Church. Mr. Cook earned a Bachelors Degree from Jacksonville State in 1963 and a Masters degree from the Citadel in 1976. He taught in the Charleston County Schools for 30 years and was a substitute teacher after retirement. He also worked with the Literacy Counsel. Surviving are: one daughter, Marie Weatherford and her husband Allen and, one son, Quentin G. Cook and his wife Michelle all of Moncks Corner; two brothers, Robert "Bob" Cook and his wife Robin of Columbia and Raymond Cook of N. SAVILLE, Barry
Barry Kevin Saville, 38, of 5505 Pear Orchard Circle, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at Wake Medical Center. Mr. Saville was born in Charleston, S.C., on May 3, 1964.
Surviving Mr. Saville are his parents Jack and Jane Gaskins Saville of Raleigh, sister, Melody Smith and her husband Dwight of Knightsdale. He was preceded in death by a sister, Wendy Saville.
Funeral services will be held, 4 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2002, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will also be held 11 a.m., Monday, May 27, 2002, at St. Pauls Methodist Church in Awendaw, S.C. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Awendaw.

SULLIVAN, Anne
Anne Bridget Sullivan, a former resident of Parish Place, Mount Pleasant, died at the age of 93 at East Cooper Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 22. Born in County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1907, Anne McNally came to the United States in her teens and settled in New York City. There she worked for many years for the Sperry Rand Company in the accounting department. In 1943 she married Capt. James F. Sullivan of the U.S. Army and began a long life as an army wife, moving over 30 times in the course of her husband's career, including three tours overseas in Germany. An accomplished runner in her youth, Mrs. Sullivan acted as a judge at the 1956 American Olympic Track and Field trails and later took up fencing. In later life, Mrs. Sullivan became a special education teacher in Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Sullivan was above all a true daughter of Ireland. Though she left Ireland in her teens, Ireland never left her thoughts. At every opportunity, Mrs. Sullivan spoke up for the cause of Irish freedom and was well known for her ability to recite Irish poetry at great length. She also sang "Danny Boy" annually at the Alzheimer Walk. A woman of great beauty in her youth, Mrs. Sullivan would, on occasion, tell the story of turning down New York Yankee slugger Joe Dimaggio for a date.
Mrs. Sullivan outlived her husband of 54 years, Lt. Col. James F. Sullivan (Ret.), as well as her daughter, Patricia Campbell also of Mount Pleasant. Her son, Kevin J. Sullivan of Bethseda, Md., five grandchildren, Lara Sanders, Scott Campbell, Brianne Campbell, Caitlin Sullivan, and Keara Sullivan, and one great-grandchild, Erin Sanders, survive Mrs. Sullivan. She is also survived by her sister, Agnes Foulois of Connecticut and three brothers, Larry McNally of Massachusetts, Patrick McNally of California and Brendan McNally of Six Mile Cross, County Tyrone in Ireland, and one nephew, Jerry Kavanagh of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
