CAHILL, Christopher
Christopher Joseph Cahill, 21, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 in Greenville, S.C. Christopher was born May 21, 1981 in Charleston, the son of Rev. Mr. Joseph Francis Cahill and Catherine Hudson Cahill of Mount Pleasant, S.C. He was a rising senior at Furman University, a proud member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, a member of the Philosophy Club and an avid golfer and enjoyed water sports. He was a graduate of the first graduating class of the new Bishop England High School in 1999, and a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Forest M. Hudson, Jr. and his paternal grandfather Joseph F. Cahill. Besides his parents he is survived by his grandmother Mrs. Ellen T. Cahill of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and aunts and uncles; Mary Louise Hudson, Isle of Palms; Elizabeth Ann (Larry) Schmitt, Bath, N.C.; Forest M. Hudson (Cecilia), New Bern, N.C.; Karen M. (Jim) Rankine, Mount Pleasant, S.C.; Joanie H. (Jack) Prentice and Mark A. Hudson (Maria), Isle of Palms; William P. Cahill (Nena), Charlotte, N.C., and John T. Cahill (Elizabeth), Greenwich, Conn.; and several cousins. A loving husband, father, and adoring grandfather, Carroll G. Coker, age 76, died May 29, 2002 in a Charleston hospital after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (May 31, 2002) at Friendship Baptist Church of North Charleston with burial in the St. John's United Methodist Church Cemetery of Lake City, at 3:30 p.m. directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be form 6-8 p.m. today (Thursday, May 30, 2002) at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home of North Charleston.
Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late William D. Coker and Letha Allen Coker. Mr. Coker was retired Charleston branch manager of Liberty Life Insurance Company for 33 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of North Charleston.
Surviving are his wife, Lillie F. Coker of North Charleston. Two sons: Dr. Mark A. (Terri) Coker of Charleston and Russell (Sandra) Coker of Lake City. One brother: Garris Coker of North Charleston. Five grandchildren: Jason Coker, Phillip Coker, Marsha Coker, Edward Coker and Amanda Coker.

Miss Lola Armstrong Moore, 90, of 1003 Crooked Oak Rd., Charleston, S.C. formerly of 411 Downing St., Gastonia, N.C., died May 29, 2002 at her residence.
Miss Moore was a native of Caldwell Co., N.C., daughter of the late Emmitt and Bessie Noles Armstrong. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2002 at First Presbyterian Church Chapel with burial in Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum. Officiating will be Rev. John Pruitt. Miss Moore was retired, former owner of Gastonia Textile Manufactors with her husband and was involved in market research. Survivors include son, Robert D. "Don" Moore, Jr. and wife, Juliann Walker Moore, Summerville, S.C., four grandchildren, Robert D. Moore, III, Stuart Evan Moore, Peter Randolph Moore and Edward Veeman Moore, two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Carolina Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert D. Moore.

WALTERBORO - Mrs. Nellie DeWitt Hudson, 71, of 384 Fire Hill Road, died Tuesday at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. Mrs. Hudson was born in Colleton County and was a daughter of Clint Washington DeWitt and Myrtle Benton DeWitt. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Surviving are, a son, Joseph P. Hudson, Jr., of Coden, Ala.; three daughters, Myrtle Ann Weatherford, Nancy Kaye Hudson and Sharon Lee Hayes, all of Walterboro; a sister, Lillie D. Byrd of Walterboro; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

CLAMP, Esther
EDISTO ISLAND - Mrs. Esther L. Clamp, 86, of 1370 Highway 174, Edisto Island and formerly of Salley died Wednesday morning, May 29, in the Hermina Traye Nursing Center on Johns Island.
Graveside service will be Friday, May 31, at 2 p.m., in the Salley Oak View Cemetery. The Rev. Tony Neal will officiate.
Mrs. Clamp was a member of Salley Baptist Church. She was a public school teacher for approximately 20 years having taught in Salley for most of those years. She was a housewife, mother, gardener, and an inventor. Mrs. Clamp invented many useful household items and received a plaque in 1978 in recognition for her being the Founder of the Inventor's Association of South Carolina.
A native of Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Jabez Hampton and Elizabeth Anal Anderson Long. Mrs. Clamp is survived by her husband Heyward Felton Clamp, Sr., of Edisto Island, two sons, Heyward F. Clamp, Jr., and Teddy L. Clamp, both of Edisto Island, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister, Violet Long Jordan of Murfreesboro, Tenn., BLIZZARD FUNERAL HOME, 153 South Main St., Wagener is in charge of services.
DEHNER, Bernard
Bernard J. Dehner, 81, of Charleston, died Wednesday, May 29, at a local hospital. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late James I. and Gertrude McLoughin Dehner. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Krupa Dehner. Mr. Dehner was a true entrepreneur and enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. Mr. Dehner was also a member of the P.T. Boaters Association. He is survived by his son, James Dehner of South Bend, Ind., a daughter, Susan Jordan of North Port, N.Y., nephew, Tim and Marcie Hushion also cousins, Meriel and Tim Hushion, both of Mt. Pleasant. William J. Ott, Jr., 85, of Charleston, died Tuesday, May 28, at a local hospital. Born in Baltimore, Md., to the late William J. and Agatha H. Schaech Ott, Sr. He was a graduate of Baltimore Politic Institute, and attended John Hopkins University. Mr. Ott retired with 43 years of service from Exxon Mobile. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus where he received the 4th degree. Mr. Ott was past president of the Exxon Annuitants Club. He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Farley, and husband, John of Maumee, Ohio, a brother, Robert Ott of Estero, Fla., a sister, Helen O. Burns of Baltimore, Md., and four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren all survive Mr. Ott. KNEECE, Wiley
OLAR - Mr. Wiley J. Kneece, 64, of Olar died Tuesday morning at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Kneece was born February 19, 1938 in Aiken County, the son of the late Frank and Janie McCarty Kneece. Mr. Kneece was a graduate of Monetta High School and attended Clemson University. He retired after 45 years of dedicated service with BellSouth. He was a member of Mt. Arnon Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School director and second deacon. He was also a 32nd degree member and Past Master of Masonic Lodge #109 member of Eastern Stars, White Shrines, and Past Watchman of P.W.O.S., a member of the Bell South Pioneers. He was a devoted father, grandfather and an avid fisherman.
Survivors are 3 sons, Frank and Lisa Kneece of Williston, Steve Kneece and Tommy and Faith Kneece both of Allendale; 3 daughters, Glenda Jean and Greg Jarvis of Barnwell, Gloria Varnadoe of Allendale and Gail Godina of Columbia; one sister, Frances Kneece Woodman of Batesburg. There are 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, many caring friends and a loving companion Nona Martin. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jean Kneece, son Wiley Kneece, Jr. and a brother, Henry Kneece of Summerville.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 4:00 in the Mt. Arnon Baptist Church with burial following in the Swallow Savannah Cemetery. Major Francis Keith Sullivan, U.S.A.F. (Ret.), husband of Andrea Angers Sullivan of Charleston died Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at his residence. He was born Friday, June 15, 1923 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., the son of Frank and Gertrude Ann Robatham Sullivan. Major Sullivan retired from the United States Air Force in 1963, was formerly the Executive Secretary of the Charleston Legislative Delegation and former Director of Personnel at the Medical University of S.C. He was the founder of a Knights of Columbus Council in Washington state, a member of the Charleston Lions Club, the Perpetual Adoration and a Eucharist Minister at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Major Sullivan was an avid golfer. A private Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Friday. MORRISON, Carol
After her hard, fought battle with cancer, Carol, had her appointment with God, on Tuesday afternoon, May 28, 2002.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on April 8, 1943 she lived most of her life in Pennsylvania and later retired to Summerville, S.C. in 1999. Carol worked as a paralegal for over 30 years. She worked with the Pennsylvania State Legislature and Private Law Practices. An avid adventurer, she camped in Yellow Stone, visited the Grand Canyon, hiked the volcanoes in Hawaii, went horseback riding in the Dominican Republic, sailing and snorkeling in Jamaica, kissed the Blarney stone in Ireland, went roller blading in Venice Beach, crossed the Panama Canal and traveled all over the Caribbean, United States and parts of Central and South America. She loved to golf, sew, garden, cook, shop and scrap-booking. She attended Bethany Methodist Church of Summerville, S.C. and helped support missionaries in the Far East and Europe. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. She is one in a million.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde R. Morrison of Summerville, S.C.; her three children, Bryan McMahon of Orlando, Fla., Payge McMahon-Bucher of Washington Twsp., N.J., Dina McMahon of Lake Mary, Fla.; her brother, Larry Grimm of Chester Springs, Pa.
Friends may visit family on Saturday, June 1, 2002 from 3 until 9 o'clock at 535 Pointe of Oaks Road, Summerville, S.C. There will be a memorial service held in Pa. to be announced at a later date.

LOADHOLT, Sr., Charlie
Charlie Henry Loadholt, Sr., 86, of 402 Sharon Ave., died May 28, 2002, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born December 31, 1915 in Old Barnwell County, he was the son of Joseph Charles and Jessie Mae Johns Loadholt.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Lutheran Church where he served as a council member and served on the activities and property committees. He was the oldest member. He was a construction superintendent for Clark & Company Construction until his retirement.
He was a World War II veteran. He served in the Battle of the Bulge in the 10th Armored Division. He was a member of the 10th Armored Division Veterans Association. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 108 of Hampton.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Nicholas Lutheran Church with a burial in the church cemetery with military honors. Visitation is Thursday from 7-9 p.m.
Survivors are his wife of almost 54 years, June Carter Loadholt, 2 sons, Charlie Henry Loadholt, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Varnville, Joseph Michael Loadholt and his wife Robin of Brunson, and one brother, James Lionel Loadholt of Allendale. Four grandchildren, Monica Loadholt of Marion, S.C., Jessica Loadholt Bishop of Brunson, Mary Elizabeth Loadholt and Joseph Michael Loadholt, II of Brunson.
