LUGOFF - Funeral service for Joe Kerney Sapp, 65, will be held Sunday at 3pm at Trinity Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church cemetery. Rev. Dr. Charles Everett and Rev. Ed Stokes will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 5 to 7 pm at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation
Mr. Sapp died Thursday, December 20, 2007. born in Lyons, Ga., he was a son of Mae Belle Usher Sapp and the late Walter Thomas Sapp. He attended Georgia Tech and received his Bachelor of Science from Augusta College. He served in the United States Army.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was an Engineer and had worked for Cogsdill Tools. Mr. Sapp enjoyed gardening and yard work
Surviving are his wife, Dinah Pharr Sapp; daughters, Jennifer Sapp of Lugoff, Valeries Ray (Gene) of Camden; brothers, Ronald Sapp of Lyons, Ga., Danny Sapp of Lyons, Ga.; sister, Gloria Helms of Vidalia, Ga.; grandson, Gene Ray; granddaughter, Ashton Ray; and several nephews and nieces.

Mr. Williams died Wednesday, December 12, 2007. born in Cabin Creek, W.V., he was a son of the late Daniel Walter and Elsie Jarrett Williams. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from Mack Truck. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Reta Jo Johnson Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Valerie J. and John Hupp of Lexington; granddaughters, Sara Hupp and Rebecca Hupp; grandson, Matthew Hupp; sister, Betty Raisbeck of Matthews, N.C.; and brothers, Danny Williams of Riverton, Wyo. and Paul Williams of Eagle Lakes, Fla.

Mrs. Adams, wife of the late Elmer Adams, died Monday, December 10, 2007. born in Isabow, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Tibo and Bessie Tibo.
Surviving are her children, Gerald Wood of Elgin, Bessie Smyth of Port Houron, Mich., Joseph Wood of Shalotte, N.C., Mae Elaine of Port Huron, Mich., and Timothy Adams; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy M. Popham

Dorothy M. Popham, of Lugoff, passed away Thursday, 6, December 2007.
Mrs. Popham was born Dorothy M. Salter on the 6th of June 1939 in Carshalton, Surrey, England. She was the daughter of Frederick George Lancelot Salter and Clara Marie Evelyn Scales. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1974 and has resided in Lugoff since 1976 where she was the owner of Dorothy’s Daycare for almost 30 years.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband, Tracy Popham, of Lugoff; her daughter, Sarah Boyce, three grandchildren, Vincent, Spencer and Amber, all of Lugoff; two brothers, David Salter of England, and John Hutchins of Canada; a sister, Audrey Davis of Canada and many nieces and nephews in England, Canada and the U.S.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, 9, December 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 34 Chestnut Ferry Road in Camden, SC. Please make any donations to LDS Humanitarian Services
Arthur "Joey" Joseph Poole

CAMDEN-Funeral service for Arthur “Joey” Joseph Poole, 62, will be held Thursday at 2pm at Hermitage Baptist Church with burial to follow in Hermitage Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6 to 8 pm at Powers Funeral Home.
Mr. Poole died Saturday, December 1, 2007. born in Camden, he was a son of the late Arthur J. Poole Sr. and Helen Feagin Poole. A graduate of Camden High School, where he was a track star and held the long jump record for thirty years. He served four years in the United States Air Force. He was an accomplished musician and was formerly a member of the Blue Condition Band, Juliette Hart and the Heart Breakers, and Southern Gold band.
Mr. Poole enjoyed snake and arrowhead hunting, bike riding and hiking.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Hayes Poole; son, Jason Stansel of West Columbia; daughters, Stefanie “Beth” Poole of Elgin, Melissa “Missy” Matheus (Francisco) of Ecuador, Heather Smith (David) of Columbia; sister, Myra Poole Watkins (Philip) of Rembert; brother, Edward “ Eddie” Poole (Paula) of Camden; grandchildren, Dayne Jones, Karis Bird, Melissa Matheus, Gabriel Matheus, Carla Matheus, Briana Matheus, Julianne Smith, Isaac Smith, Isabel Smith.

Mr. Bradley died Tuesday, May 27, 2008. born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Leavy Leonard Bradley and Ellie Deese Bradley. A United States Marine Corp veteran, he served during WW II in the Battle of Saipan, Tinian, and Guam. He also served in the reserves in the Aleutian Islands and is a member of the James Leroy Belk American Legion Post 17.
Mr. Bradley retired from DuPont and owned Bradley Heating and Air Conditioning. He enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Edna G. Bradley; children, D. Keith (Merry) Bradley of Lugoff, Kathy Bradley (Barry) Smith of Columbia, J. Ryan (Risa) Bradley of Beaufort, Phillip D. Bradley of Columbia, and Cheri Bradley (Lonnie) Burris of Camden; brothers, Edward Bradley, Earl Bradley, Cecil Bradley, and Donnie Bradley; sisters, Marie Bussart, Judy Bradley, Reba Thompson, and Peggy Jones; grandchildren, Hope (Chris) Sielicki, Erica Bradley, Morgan Jacobus, Michael Bradley, David Bradley, Blaine Burris, and Hannah Burris; great-granddaughter, Allison Sielicki; and a very special, loving, and caring, friend, Coota Montgomery. He was predeceased by a brother, Clyde Bradley; and sister, Bobbie Redemann.

Mr. Rhodes died Sunday, March 16, 2008. born in Welch, W.V., he was a son of Dolleta Hendrick Rhodes and the late Joseph Weldon Rhodes. He was a Southern Baptist minister and was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. He had a zeal for life and enjoyed people. He loved to hunt and fish and be outdoors.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Daisy Kirkland Rhodes; sons, Terry D. Rhodes and his wife, Jennifer of Lugoff, and Jason D. Rhodes of Columbia; two grandchildren, Waylen D. Rhodes and Madeline G. Rhodes; mother of Lugoff; brothers, Eugene W. Rhodes of Lugoff, Rev. Wendell Wayne Rhodes and his wife, Eunice of Centerville, and Rev. Jerry Rhodes and his wife, Wanda of Gastonia, N.C.; and sisters, Susan Roepke and her husband Arthur of Elgin, and Jane Martin and her husband, Randall of Lugoff.

She is survived by her daughter, Camille (Randy) Abrams of Camden; brother, James Wade, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; sister, Martha Ann McCurdy, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; grandchildren, Whit (Kathleen) Abrams, Lexington, S.C., Meg Abrams and her fiancé, Dane Henderson, of Columbia, S.C. She was predeceased by her brothers, Roscoe Wade, Mike Wade, and John Wade; and sisters, Deolah Hendrix, Juanita Miller, Genevieve Shumaker.
