Mary Barron Galloway, 77, widow of Robert Stone Galloway, Jr., Greenville, died March 10, 2005.
born in Rock Hill, she was a daughter of the late John Galloway Barron and Sara Strong Barron.
She graduated from Winthrop College in Rock Hill and received her Masters Degree in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mrs. Galloway taught history and coached basketball in Beaufort and Anderson County schools and retired from Greenville Senior High School. She was a member of the Greenville County Library Board and was the first woman to serve as its Chairperson.
She was an accomplished golfer who competed in the South Carolina State Amateur Golf Championships and the Virginia-Carolina team matches. She was a member of the Greenville Country Club, where she was President of the Women's Golf Association and won the Women's Club Championship on multiple occasions. She was also an avid gardener and bridge player.
Surviving are a son, Robert Stone Galloway, III and his wife Margaret of Greenville; a daughter, Elizabeth Agnew Galloway and her husband Charles H. Jones of Ormond Beach, FL; a sister Anne Barron McArthur of Columbia; and two grandchildren, Eleanor Barron Galloway and Robert Coker Galloway both of Greenville.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Robert and Margaret Galloway.

Dessie Mae Massey Satterfield, 89, of 10 Sycamore Drive, wife of Hugh T. Satterfield, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at St. Francis Women's and Family Hospital.
born in Greenville County, she a daughter of the late John Walter and Carrie Belle Woodson Massey.
Mrs. Satterfield was retired from Her Majesty. She was a member of Laurel Baptist Church where she was a longtime Preschool Sunday School Teacher, as well as former director of the Young at Heart Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years are a daughter, Brenda Smith and her husband, Tony of Charleston; a sister, Lila Adams of Raleigh, NC; a brother, John M. Massey of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Tonya Biondi and her husband Jimmy of Basking Ridge, NJ, and Tara Wells of Charleston and her husband Sergeant Robert Wells of Korea; three great grandchildren, Madison Wells, Colton and Hunter Biondi.
Mrs. Satterfield was preceded in death by four sisters, Edna Tollison, Lillian Garrett, Irene Kraft and Mary Morris; and four brothers, Willie Massey, Truman Massey, Fred Massey and Carl Massey.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 24, 2004 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by a son, Hal C. Dixon, Jr. and two grandsons, Victor Dixon and Rickey Orrell.

born in Greenville County, she is the daughter of Pauline Tucker and the late Lester Swanger.
She was a retired employee of Prettl Electric and a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of 21 years, David Collins; daughter, Tammy Hulsey and husband Anthony of Greenville; son, Scott Ivester and wife Cathy of Greenville; step-son, Joey Collins of Nashville, TN; three brothers, Waylon Swanger, Michael Swanger and Ronald Swanger; one sister, Annette Hitt; four grandchildren, Josh Hulsey, Matthew Hulsey, Caleb Ivester and Anthony Ivester.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at noon at Bessie Road Baptist Church with interment to follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Visitation Monday from 6-8:00pm at the church.

Surviving are a son, Robert Luther and his wife Brenda, of Travelers Rest; two brothers, Horace and Jewell Gambrell; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Luther is predeceased by two daughters, Mary Frances Luther and Lucille Kelly; a son, Grady Luther; two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Services will be held on Friday at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Eastview cemetery in Honea Path.

Mr. Cox was retired from Michelin and was a former Greenville City Police Officer. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Shawn Cutting of Simpsonville; three step-sons, Tyra Andrews of High Point, NC., Randy Andrews of Belton, Anthony Andrews and his wife Melinda of Easley; a sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Red Brigman of Fountain Inn; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Renee Cox.

James Harrison Neidigh

James Harrison Neidigh, 78, of 1013 Powderhorn Drive, widower of Margaret Joan Northrup Neidigh, died Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown following a brief illness.
born in Scranton, IA., he was the son of the late Harrison and Jeanette Williams Neidigh.
Mr. Neidigh was a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Landscape Architect where he was a member of Signa Chi Fraternity. After retirement from the Arizona State Parks Department he turned his love for nature and a childhood past time of whittling into an avid hobby becoming an extremely accomplished carver specializing in miniature birds in flight. He competed in world class carving events nationally and in Canada consistently winning awards as well as gaining new friends in the carving community. He attended Simpsonville United Methodist Church and was also a United States Navy Veteran having served during WWII.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra N. Laudenslayer and her husband Mike of Norcross, GA., Sherry Neidigh of Charlotte, NC.; a grandson, Nick Laudenslayer; a sister, Ruth Veenstra of Jefferson, IA.; and a brother, Leonard Neidigh of Red Wing, MN.
