Funeral services for John Edward “J.E.” Hutson, 79, of Blackville, SC will be held three p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Pinehill Freewill Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith, Hwy. 3, Blackville, SC with burial in Barnwell Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Wednesday, July 27th, at the home of Kaye and Edward Givens, Blackville, SC. Mr. J. E. passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his home.
born in Barnwell County, he was a son of the late Isaiah Hutson and Rodell Gleaton Hutson. He was a member of Pinehill Freewill Baptist Church of the Pentecosal Faith, retired from Dayco and served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Lucy Davis Hutson; daughters, Rita (Rockie) Roberts, Kaye (Edward) Givens all of Blackville; sisters, Adelle McKenna of Healing Springs, Virginia Miller of Neeses, Joann Adams of Aiken; brother, Isaiah “Buster” Hutson, Jr. of Springfield; grandchildren, Hope (Michael) Maxwell, Hollie (Laverne) Fail, Ryndi Givens Joyner, Edwards Givens, III; great grandchildren, Betheney Maxwell, Johnathan Maxwell, Haley Moski, Conner Fail and Danielle Glass. He was predeceased by brothers, Laverene, Lonell, Joseph “Sumter” and Woodrow Hutson.

The family will receive friends from seven to nine p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Freddie passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011.
born in Bamberg, SC he was a son of Corine Williams Hutson and the late Woodrow Hutson. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his mother of Springfield; daughter, Lisa Marie Hutson of North and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Ronnie Hutson.

born in Allendale County, SC she was a daughter of Virginia Mills and the late Frances O. Gunnells. She was a member of Rosemary Baptist Church where she was active in Bible School, the Youth Department, the Benevolence Committee and sang in the church choir. She attended Orangeburg Technical College and was an in-home health care provider.
Survivors include her husband, Scotty Sylvester Norris and a daughter, Jessica Ann Floyd, both of the home; mother and step-father, Virginia and Leonard Mills of Elko, SC; sisters, Mary Lynn (Andy) Rickenbaker of Cordova, SC, Janice Shroud of West Columbia; step-sisters, Ginger (Bruce) Dyer of Chapin and Monica Mills of Eastover; a brother, Jennings Rountree of Charleston, SC; a number of nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Rebecca Armstrong and her loving church family.

born in Augusta, Georgia, Eric was a son of Jerry Bodiford and the late Deborah Kay Sutton Bodiford. He worked for Bridgestone Firestone and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Harris Bodiford and daughter, Abigayle Aspen Bodiford of the home; father and step-mother, Jerry and Suzanne Bodiford of Barnwell; paternal grandmother, Louise Dyches Bodiford of Long Branch; maternal grandmother, Ann Sutton of Augusta, Ga.; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandfathers, Calhoun Bodiford and Bill Sutton.

born in the Edisto Community of Williston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Monroe Porter and Minnie Rouis Porter and was married
to the late H. C. Hair. She was a member of Williston First Baptist Church and the Rebekah Sunday School class where she served as treasurer for more than 40 years. She retired as a seamstress from Skyline Manufacturing Company. She was known throughout Williston and surrounding areas for her love of baking; she was famous for her thin layer chocolate cakes. She was always concerned about her children and family who she loved so dearly.
Survivors include her daughter, Melba “Nan” Miner of North Augusta, SC; son, Jerry (Annette) Hair of Williston; grandchildren, Benji (Cindy) Smith, Suzanne (Gregg) Creech, Terri Hair, Kinley Hair; great grandchildren, Morgan Creech, Whitney (Casey) Rogers, Robin (Brian) Mathewson and Ashley Smith; great great granddaughter, Samantha Mathewson. born in Blackville, SC she was the daughter of the late Thurman Judson Still, Sr. and Connie Sue Grubbs Still. She was a 1944 graduate of Blackville High School, was married
to the late Jesse Lee Sweat and formerly worked for Palm Beach Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church, the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class, the Wise Old Owl Club and Woodmen of the World. Mrs. Annie Mae was a woman of few needs, a huge heart and a strong faith.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Tim Weegar of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Andrew Michael Hromyak and Benjamin Joseph Hromyak nieces and nephew, Lillian (Jack) Welch, Thurman J. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Anchor Rehab and Health for the care during his illness. Mr. Mundy passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011.
born in Aiken County, he was a son of the late Richard Fabian Mundy and Louise Beck Mundy. He was a graduate of Windsor High School. He worked for Graniteville Company, E.I. DuPont, taught welding at the Aiken Career Center, taught Industrial Art at Jackson High School, was a reserved officer for the Aiken County Sherriff’s Department, served on the Aiken County School Board, and was a member of the Woodmen of the World. Mr. Mundy owned and operated Mundy’s Marine and was a mechanic. He was a member and loved the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, was a founding commissioner and was proud to have been a part of the building and getting the department established, this was a dream come true.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Thelma Bates Mundy; daughters Sherry M. Green of Williston, Janis (Dale) Boothe of Aiken; sons, Gordon V. (Mary Alice) Mundy, Jr., Ricky Mundy; sister, Peggy Mundy, all of Williston; grandchildren, Shanon Boothe, Michelle Johnson, David Boothe, Melody Mathias, Amanda Sadler; numerous great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog, Remus. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Richard (Rick) Green.

born in Stapleton, GA he was a son of the late Jarrett Cato and Ada Terrell Cato. Mr. Cato was a quarter master in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of Windsor First Baptist Church and enjoyed going to the Hen House Ministries in Swansea with his wife. He was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. He received a BA in Business Administration from Emory University and retired as a salesman from General Ribbon.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Lamb Cato of the home; sons, William (Nancy) Collier Cato of Gainesville, GA, Jared Lamb Cato of Windsor; grandson, William Rhett Cato of Barnwell; and a number of nieces. He was predeceased by one sister and three brothers.

Surrounded by his family, Roy departed this life and went on to be with the Lord, Monday, June 20, 2011.
born in Jasper County, SC, March 19, 1942, Roy was a son of Lonnie Monroe and Kathleen Carroll Givens. He was self-employed, having owned and operated Roy’s Place. Roy loved people. He loved to talk to share stories and to lift people’s spirits with countless jokes and pranks. He probably enjoyed the many conversations with people who stopped by his store much more than any of the profits he ever made. Roy was a faithful member of Edisto Baptist Church and shared his testimony at many churches in the Barnwell County area. Anyone who knew Roy knew he loved the Lord and knew he would freely share his testimony with anyone, anywhere, anytime. Roy will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Shatzie Givens; step-son, Timmy Jowers; brother, Ted Givens. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Horne Givens of the home; brothers, Tim (Diane) Givens of the Long Branch Community, Jeff (JoAnn) of Bamberg, SC; sister-in-law, Shelby Jean Givens of Batesburg; two step-grandchildren, Timmy and Anthony Jowers of Barnwell and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.

born at home in Denmark, SC he was a son of Blanche Bessinger Crider and the late Julius Victor Crider, Sr. He was a 1965 graduate of Orangeburg High School, attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College and served in the SC National Guard. He retired having worked for Greenwood Mills and Savannah River Site. He was a former member of Northgate Baptist Church in Orangeburg where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and Youth leader. Jay was a member of Elko Baptist Church for the past 17 years. He enjoyed wood working and gardening.
