Seneca - Frances Ruth Perry Jones, 96 formerly of Morningside Dr. died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Seneca Health and Rehab.

born in Lancaster County to the late John Henry and Effie Rogers Perry. Mrs. Jones had worked in the textile industry and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bountyland Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughter Emmy Smith of Westminster and Loretta Lyles and husband Jimmy of Seneca, nine grandchildren, David Harper who was reared in the home, Johnny Harper, Joanna Covar, Debbie Smith, Joey Smith, Laurie Wheeler, Robin Spearman, Chris Lyles and Mark Lyles, 10 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren and Crawford Keese, a special friend of the family.

In addition to her parents, husband Rev. William Lester Jones, daughter Frankie Harper and granddaughter Frances Harper precede her in death.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Monday, June 4, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Sandifer Funeral Home, PO Box 69, Westminster, SC 29693.

Jessica Barrett Adams

Jessica Lohse Adams, 94, formerly of Westminster died June 17, 2007 at Clemson Downs Health Center.

She was born January 16, 1913 to the late James Edward and Bessie Ross Barrett of the Hopewell Community, Westminster. Mrs. Adams was a graduated from St. Barnabas School of Nursing in Newark, NJ in 1933, was member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Seneca Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include:
Daughters: Ruth L Hotinger and husband Paul N. of Easley
Barbara Maxwell and husband Thomas
Son: Harold C. Lohse, Jr. of Hopatcong, NJ
5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
Sister: Helen Barker Petty
Brother: Victor Elmore Barrett
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by, husbands: Harold C. Lohse and Lt. Col. Hubert Adams, Brothers: Ross, Frank, and Charles Barrett, Sisters: Ruth Graver and Grace Barrett.

Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Vance officiating and burial to follow at a later date in the Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, NJ.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home Wednesday. Westminster - Roy William Dickson, 59 of 293 Bertha Allen Rd., died Friday, June 15, 2007 at his residence.

born in Oconee County to the late James Ernest and Lou Emma James Dickson he was an equipment operator with Brandon Butts Grading. Mr. Dickson was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife Sandra Faye Cooper Dickson of the home, daughters Kim Rochester of Walhalla and Tonya Mathis of Westminster, brother Richard Travis Dickson of Westminster and sisters Ann D. Boatwright of St. Petersburg, FL and Betty D. Durham of Westminster, three grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, brother Martin James Dickson and sister Sue D. Durham precede him in death.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Sunday, June 17, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the funeral home. Fair Play – Wynez Williams Rholetter, 88 formerly of 220 Rock Creek Rd. died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 in Fair Play.

born in Aiken County, SC to the late Charlie and Lorena Clayton Bailey, she retired from Kmart, Tamassee DAR where she served as a house parent and from the Counsel On Aging where she worked as a nurse’s aide.

Surviving is daughter Lynn Arterburn, sons Troy Rholetter, Talmadge Rholetter, Nelsown Rholetter, Tony Rholetter and Ned Rholetter, brother Hiram Earl Bailey, sisters Loretta Gowan and Frances Quarles and one granddaughter Paige Holland and husband Jerry.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Marhsall T. Rholetter precedes her in death.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, June 15, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster. Burial will follow at Damascus Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family is at the home of her daughter, Lynn Arterburn, 1207 Hwy 182, Fair Play.

SENECA - Melody Ann Epperson, 42, of 1555 Park Ridge Dr., Seneca, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at her residence.

born in Ft. Myers, Fla., she was a waitress and housekeeper.

She is survived by her Mother, Darlene Jo Epperson Tollison of Anderson and Step-Father Jeff Davis Tollison, Jr. of Walhalla

Daughters – Claire Moore and Brooke Moore.

Brothers – Robert L. Epperson of Ill., Brian P. Epperson of Seneca, Todd A. Epperson of Seneca.

Half-Brothers Frankie and Eric Epperson of Seneca.

Half-Sister Angie Nix of Seneca.

Her Father, Robert Epperson and sister Jamie Dawn Epperson precede her death.

A memorial service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster. The family request flowers be omitted and donations be given to the charity of one’s choice. The family is at their respective homes.

WEST UNION - Kathleen “Kathy” Dodd Adams, 68 of 138 McMahan Road, West Union, died Friday, June 8, 2007 at her residence.

born in Winston Salem, NC, to the late Hubert & Ola Mae Melvin Dodd, she was a homemaker, Children’s Sunday School Teacher and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Sons – Bobby E. Adams, Jr. and wife Janice of Seneca, Jason Adams and fiancé Mary Kreidler of West Union.

Daughter: Kimberly Adams Spurlock and husband Jerry of Seneca.

Brother: James Dodd of Walhalla

3 Grandchildren, Casey Spurlock, NaKole Spurlock and Kristen Chapman.

In addition to her parents, her husband Bobby Edward Adams, Sr., son Brian David Adams and a brother Marvin Dodd precede her death.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, June 11, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster with burial following in Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca.

October 25, 1913 - March 08, 2006
COLUMBIA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Cleo Khoury Abdalla, 92, will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with final commendation and farewell prayers in St. Peter’s Catholic cemetery. The Rosary will be recited Thursday at 6 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with visitation until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Abdalla, wife of the late Joseph G. Abdalla, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006. born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Zakia Asmer Khoury. She was a life-long member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, past president of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality of St. Peter’s, past president of Providence Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Syrian Lebanon American Society of Columbia.
She is survived by her son, John A. Abdalla and daughters, Theresa A. Younginer and Dolores A. Abdalla all of Columbia; four grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Bonnie Younginer, Marc and Didi Younginer, Matthew and Caroline Younginer, and Dr. Erik and Amy Younginer; and seven great-grandchildren; also her sister, Julia K. Shahid of Charleston, S.C.; brothers, Hasham P. Khoury and Dr. Leon J. Khoury, Sr. both of Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Nicholas Younginer and Christian Younginer. Honorary pallbearers include her nephews, Dr. Norman Khoury, Dr. George Khoury, Dr. Leon Khoury, Eddie Khoury, Dr. John Khoury, Peter Shahid, Alfred Abdalla, Joseph P. Abdalla, and Raymond Abdalla.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of both Oak Leaf Village of Lexington and Life Care Center of Columbia for the wonderful and loving care given to our Mother, Cleo. Very special thanks and gratitude to Bessie Hudson and Teresa Hutchison for their years of loving care for Momma Cleo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 1529 Assembly Street, Columbia, S.C. 29202.

Mr. Jason Michael Allara
December 17, 1979 - April 01, 2006
COLUMBIA -Service for Jason Michael Allara, 26, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Clemson University Foundation, P.O. Box 1889, Clemson, S.C. 29633. Graveside service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Roselawn cemetery, Princeton, W.Va.
Mr. Allara died Saturday, April 1, 2006. born in Morgantown, W.Va., he was a beloved son of Jack M. Allara II and Sharon Crawford Allara. He was a graduate of Irmo High School where he started on the basketball team for two years. He was a graduate of Clemson University which he loved. He was employed by Capital Produce Distributors.
Surviving are his mother of Columbia; father and stepmother, Marla Allara, of Salem, Va.; brothers, John Allara of Columbia and Jeff Allara and his wife, Kara, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; half brother, Lucas Allara and half sister, Emily Allara, both of Salem, Va.; grandmothers, Barbara Allara of Iaeger, W.Va. and Mary Thompson of Princeton, W.Va.; and stepgrandmother, Linda Smither of Huddleston, Va.
Mr. Allara is greatly missed.

Mr. Blake Eugene Amick
October 07, 1984 - April 03, 2006
CHAPIN -Funeral service for Blake Eugene Amick, 21, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel.
Mr. Amick died Monday, April 3, 2006. born in Columbia, he was a son of Richard Eugene Amick and Beverly Lynn Hall Price. He attended Stratford High School, where he played baseball, and was a graduate of Chapin High School. Mr. Amick was the manager of Farm Boys restaurant, and a member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing soccer.
Surviving are his father and step-mother Richard and Denise Amick of Chapin; mother and step-father Beverly Hall and David Alan Price of Summerville; fiancée Amy Bradshaw of Chapin; son Coleman Amick and an expected son; brothers Jason Amick and Matthew Paul Looney; sister Breanna Lynn Amick; and grandparents Charles Hall of Elgin, and Betty Amick of Chapin.

Grant Mitchell Anderson
July 09, 1999 - March 10, 2006
ELGIN - Graveside service for Grant Mitchell Anderson, 6, will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Beth Shalom cemetery, Arcardia Lakes. Memorials may be made to Chai Lifeline Ohr Meir Foundation, 151 W. 30th St. 3rd Floor, New York, N.Y. 10001. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Grant died Friday, March 10, 2006. born in Bismarck, N.D., he was a son of Stara DeGeorge. He attended Beth Shalom Synagogue, The Learning Shul and the Columbia Jewish Day School. He made many special friends at The Cancer Center at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital as well as at Chai Lifeline Ohr Meir Foundation including Benji Samet, his camp councilor.
Surviving are his mother; brothers, Steven DeGeorge, U.S. Army, Ft. Campbell, Ky., now serving in Iraq, Nick DeGeorge, U.S. Navy, of San Diego, Calif. and Erik DeGeorge of Elgin; sisters, Colena DeGeorge and Micheala Anderson, both of Elgin; maternal grandmother, Pamla VanAernum of Riverdale, N.D.; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Keith VanAernum.

Mrs. Elizabeth Traylor Aron
March 16, 1906 - January 25, 2006
COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Elizabeth Traylor Aron, 99, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10–11 a.m. Monday, preceding the service, in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Park Street Baptist Church, 2240 Park Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
Mrs. Aron, wife of the late Parker Causey Aron, died Wednesday, January 25, 2006. born in Cumberland, Va., she was the daughter of the late James L. and Emma Huddleston Traylor. Mrs. Aron was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bill Workman of Columbia; a granddaughter and her husband, Cathy and Steve Clawson of Chapin; a great-grandson Austin; a grandson Bill “Bucky” Workman, Jr., of Johnston, Iowa; and great-granddaughters Katie and Meghan. Mrs. Aron was predeceased by her daughter Juanita Aron.

Ms Mary Lillian Ellison
July 22, 1923 - November 02, 2007
COLUMBIA - Service for Mary Lillian “Fabulous Moolah” Ellison, 84, will be held Wednesday at 12 noon at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday 6-9 at the funeral home.
Ms. Ellison died Friday, November 2, 2007. born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lee Ellisor and Mary Suzanne Atkinson Ellisor. A graduate of Columbia High School, she was the owner/operator of Girl Wrestling Enterprises for over thirty years. She was the first female inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame and was affiliated with the organization for fifty-two years. She held the world’s women’s championship for twenty-eight years beginning in 1956. At the age of seventy-six, she reclaimed the title for a final time.
Ms. Ellison wrote an autobiography, “The Fabulous Moolah: First Goddess of the Squared Circle.”
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Ellison will always be remembered by many close friends.
Surviving are daughter, Maryetta Austin of Conway; adopted daughter, Katie Glass of Columbia; grandchildren, Brian Guyton, Paul Guyton, Suzie Lane, Andy Guyton, Steve Guyton and Karyn Austin, all of Myrtle Beach; and great-grandchildren, Michael, August, Tyler, Colby, Riley and Kennedy. She was predeceased by twelve brothers.
