LOUISE T. BARNES
Louise Veleria Trigg Barnes, 73, of Charleston, a retired teacher with Charleston County, died Saturday at her residence. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Emanuel AME Church. Burial, directed by Fielding Funeral Home, will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Nichols Chapel AME Church.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Bluefield, W.Va., a daughter of the Rev. Alonzo Trigg and Valarie Harris Barnes. She was a graduate of Wilberforce University, the University of South Carolina, S.C. State College, the University of Michigan and The Citadel. She was a member of the YWCA, the Reid House board of directors, the National Council of Negro Women and Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She was a volunteer with Lowcountry AIDS Services and the Hollings Cancer Center. She was an active member of Nichols AME Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Sylvia L. Barnes of Charleston; two sons, Frederick V. Barnes of Charleston and William H. Barnes Jr. of Williamson; and five grandchildren.

ERNESTINE JUDGE
MONCKS CORNER - Ernestine Judge, 54, died Thursday in a Charleston hospital. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Gethers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westview cemetery.
Ms. Judge was born in Moncks Corner, a daughter of Julius Judge and Julie Ann Lyons. She attended Berkeley County schools.
Surviving are her mother of St. Louis; three daughters, Rhonda Ravenell and Tameka Judge, both of Moncks Corner, and Viola Green of Charleston; four sons, Kenneth Judge, Ernest Lee Judge, Carl Judge and Donald Judge, all of Moncks Corner; five sisters, Lizzie Lyons, Mattie Lyons and Maxine Lyons, all of St. Louis, Salley Lyons of Jackson, Tenn., and Eunice Judge of Charleston; two brothers, George Lyons and Clayton Lyons, both of St. Louis; and 21 grandchildren.

SUMMERVILLE - Minnie Ginter Cramer, 89, a retired technician with RCA, died Sunday in a local nursing home. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Summerville cemetery. Burial will be directed by Parks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cramer was born in Lancaster, Pa., a son of William G. Ginter and Minnie G. Bowers Ginter. She was the widow of Charles E. Cramer.
Surviving is a nephew, Glenn Miller of Summerville.

MOUNT PLEASANT - Gregory Alan Matthews, a self-employed construction worker, died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in the National cemetery at Beaufort.
Mr. Matthews was born in Takoma Park, Md., a son of Robert D. Matthews and Joy Anderson Matthews. He was an Air Force veteran and he was Protestant.

Mrs. Cornish was born in Walnut Ridge, Ark., a daughter of John Brimhall and Mollie Brimhall. She attended Arkansas schools. She was a member of Open Door Bible Baptist Church. She was the widow of Arthur J. Cornish.
Surviving are three sons, Jimmie D. Cornish of Ladson, Arthur J. Cornish of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Joe B. Cornish of Bristol, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. Smith, 82, died Wednesday in Garden City, Ga. He was born in Hampton County, a son of Emory Smith and Minnie Smith. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired brick mason on Parris Island. He was a pastor at St. James Baptist Church in Walterboro and Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Lobeco. He attended Mount Sinai Baptist Church of Beaufort.
