Mr. Mautz was born in Eagle Port, Ohio, a son of Albert F. Mautz and Chania Akers Mautz. He was a graduate of Marshall University. He was a Mason and a Shriner and a member of the Lions Club. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Summerville Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Dale W. Mautz; a daughter, Kimberly M. Charpia of Summerville; a son, Mark Mautz of Ashland, Ky.; and five grandchildren.
