Frances Berniece Patrick Walters, 83, of Charleston, died Friday in a local nursing home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Thompson Funeral Home in West Columbia. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Thomasville City cemetery in Thomasville, N.C.
Mrs. Walters was born in Lee County, N.C., a daughter of Joseph L. Patrick and Lizzie Robertson Patrick. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church in Charleston. She was the widow of Morris D. Walters.
Surviving are a daughter, Ouidasue W. Nash of West Columbia; a sister, Juanita P. Stout of Sanford, N.C.; and a brother, Joseph L. Patrick of Chicago.

EVA S. SVILAR
SUMMERVILLE - Eva Schmidt Svilar, 97, died Friday in a local nursing home. No services are planned and the burial will be private, according to Parks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Svilar was born in Austria, a daughter of Frank Schmidt and Anna Schmidt. She was Roman Catholic. She was the widow of Panto Svilar.
Surviving are a son, Matthew Svilar of Summerville; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

HENRY W. PROCTOR
Henry Woodrow Proctor, 85, of North Charleston, a retired locomotive engineer with the S.C. State Ports Authority, died Saturday at his residence. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Burial will be directed by Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Proctor was born in Dillon County, a son of Rembert W. Proctor and Mary Susan Proctor.
Surviving are his wife, Flossie Proctor; two sons, Henry W. Proctor Jr. of Atlanta and Phillip C. Proctor of Lebanon, Ohio; several brothers and sisters; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

JANET R. CURTIS
SUMMERVILLE - Janet Rhea Curtis, 48, an administrative assistant with Healthsource of South Carolina, died Saturday in a North Charleston hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Dyal Funeral Home. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston.
Mrs. Curtis was born in Kingsport, Tenn., a daughter of Ivan R. Rhea Jr. and Syble Horner Rhea. She was a graduate of Dobyns-Bonnett High School in Kingsport and attended the College of Charleston. She was a member of Ridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, R. Glenn Curtis; a daughter, Lisa C. Plowman of Atlanta; a brother, Charles Blakely of Morristown, Tenn.; and three sisters, Shirley R. Mingledorff of Alpharetta, Ga., Bobbie Jean Rhea of Kingsport, and Debra D. Vandervest of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Lenora Singleton, 90, of Charleston, a retired housekeeper, died May 4 in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Morris Street Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Wm. Smith Funeral Home, will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Singleton was born in Cainhoy, a daughter of Levi Bradley and Elizabeth Bradley. She attended Charleston County schools. She was a member of Morris Street Baptist Church. She was the widow of John Singleton.
Surviving are two sisters, Rebecca Toomer and Elizabeth Hicks, both of New York City; and a stepdaughter, Delores Owens.

RUFFIN - Tara Sovick Salley, 21, a student at South Carolina State University, died Thursday in Walterboro. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Buckhead United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Hamilton Funeral Home of Walterboro, will be in Westview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Salley was born in Colleton County, a son of Hezekiah Salley Jr. and Ranna Gruber Salley. He was a 1995 graduate of Ruffin High School. He was a member of Buckhead United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his father of Smoaks; his mother of Ruffin; a brother, Jason Salley of Ruffin; and his grandmother, Minnie Lee Salley of Smoaks.

JAMES A. KENNEDY Jr.
KINGSTREE - The funeral for James Augustus "Boogie" Kennedy Jr. will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home, will be in Kingstree cemetery.
Mr. Kennedy, 51, a construction worker, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Kingstree, a son of Gus J. Kennedy and Anna Grace Hanna Kennedy. He attended Williamsburg County schools. He was a member of Mount Zion Church.
Surviving are his wife, Alfreda Cunningham Kennedy; his mother of Kingstree; a daughter, Kia-Vonna Shante Kennedy of Florida; a sister, Gloria Kennedy of Kingstree; and a brother, Franklyn Kennedy of Kingstree.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Dillon County, a daughter of John Huggins and Maggie Goodwin Huggins. She was an active member of Dothan Baptist Church. She was the widow of Robert K. Jackson.
Surviving are four sons, Hugh K. Jackson, Robert L. Jackson and Harold Jackson, all of Dillon, and the Rev. Alvin Jackson of Loris; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in the Methodist Church of the Resurrection. A second funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mears Funeral Home in Mullins, S.C. no burial
Mr. Williams was born in Mullins, a son of Jack E. Williams and Sadie Williams Shoe. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine "Cathy" Williams; his mother of Nichols; a daughter, Taylor Williams of Overland Park; a brother, Travis Williams of Nichols, S.C.; and a sister, Tracey W. Bell of Loris, S.C.

RIDGELAND - Ruby Riley Tillman, 86, died Saturday in a Beaufort hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Maye River Baptist Church in Bluffton. Burial, directed by Sauls Funeral Home, will be in Ridgeland cemetery.
Mrs. Tillman was born in Ridgeland, a daughter of Owen Riley and Julia Brabham Riley. She was a member of Maye River Baptist Church. She was the widow of Wade S. Tillman.
Surviving are six sons, Jack Walker of Honduras, South America, Henry O. Tillman, Wade K. Tillman and Carl Tillman, all of Ridgeland, Bobby J. Tillman of Beaufort and Wilbur L. Tillman of Hardeeville; three daughters, Alice S. Long of Charleston, Louise T. Duncan and Patricia T. Knudsen, both of Ridgeland; a brother, Willie Riley of Beaufort; two sisters, Rosa Lee Smith of Atlanta and Ruth Weaver of Sylvania, Ga.; 33 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Burrison was born in Ridgeland, a son of Columbus Wright and Neice Burrison Eady.

Burrison of Bronx, N.Y.; two daughters, Rutha Burrison of Columbia and Sandra Norton of Boston; three stepsisters, Harriet Goethe and Dolly Ann Burrison, both of Ridgeland, and Rosa Lee Reid of New York City; and six grandchildren.
