Frances Berniece Patrick Walters, 83, of Charleston, died Friday in a local nursing home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Thompson Funeral Home in West Columbia. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Thomasville City cemetery in Thomasville, N.C.
Mrs. Walters was born in Lee County, N.C., a daughter of Joseph L. Patrick and Lizzie Robertson Patrick. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church in Charleston. She was the widow of Morris D. Walters.
Surviving are a daughter, Ouidasue W. Nash of West Columbia; a sister, Juanita P. Stout of Sanford, N.C.; and a brother, Joseph L. Patrick of Chicago.

SUMMERVILLE - Eva Schmidt Svilar, 97, died Friday in a local nursing home. No services are planned and the burial will be private, according to Parks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Svilar was born in Austria, a daughter of Frank Schmidt and Anna Schmidt. She was Roman Catholic. She was the widow of Panto Svilar.
Surviving are a son, Matthew Svilar of Summerville; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Henry Woodrow Proctor, 85, of North Charleston, a retired locomotive engineer with the S.C. State Ports Authority, died Saturday at his residence. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Burial will be directed by Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Proctor was born in Dillon County, a son of Rembert W. Proctor and Mary Susan Proctor.
