CANADYS - The funeral for Sammy Wade will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Oakman Branch Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Mungo Funeral Home of Walterboro, will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wade, 73, died Tuesday in a St. George nursing home. He was born in Canadys, a son of Jake Wade and Channie Wade. He attended Colleton County schools. He was a member of Oakman Branch Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Senia Coleman of Walterboro and Carrie Murrel of Philadelphia; and a brother, Alton Wade of Walterboro.

Mrs. Davis was born in Mount Pleasant, a daughter of Enoch Ellis and Mary Ellis. She attended Charleston County schools. She was a member of Greater Olive Branch AME Church. She was the widow of Sam Davis.
Surviving are a daughter, Carrie R. Green of Moncks Corner; a brother, Elijah Ellis of Mount Pleasant; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

HANAHAN - Myrtle Ruth Gatch Sutterfield, 77, a photographer's assistant, died Saturday in a local hospital. The funeral and burial will be private, according to Stuhr's Greenridge Road Chapel of North Charleston.
Mrs. Sutterfield was born in Round O, a daughter of Allen J. Gatch and Anna Lee Hill Gatch.

Mr. Murphy was born in Bethera, a son of Douglas R. Murphy and Marie Brown Murphy. He was a graduate of Macedonia High School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was inducted into the Channel 5 Hall of Fame for volunteer service to Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Moncks Corner. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Murphy Jr., stationed with the Army in Korea, and Gregory W.
