YEMASSEE - Richard W. Hodge, 25, a former certified welder, died Friday in a Ridgeland hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Oak Grove Methodist Church cemetery of Manning.
Mr. Hodge was born in Charleston, a son of Charles H. Hodge and Myrtle Marie Owens Hodge. He was a grocer at South End Harris Teeter and a volunteer with the Beaufort County Board of Disabilities. He was a member of Sheldon Baptist Church of Sheldon.
Surviving are four brothers, Jerry Hodge of Summerville, Steven A. Hodge of Port Royal, James Hodge and Gerald C. Hodge, both of Yemassee; five sisters, Sandra M. Johns and Melba D. Knight, both of Brunswick, Ga., Susan R. McNabb of Maryville, Tenn., Denise E. Briar of Jonesboro, Ga., and Hallie M. Adams of Charleston.

KINGSTREE - Vincent R. Aiello, 70, a retired chemist with FermPro Co. of Kingstree, died Friday in a Florence hospital. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Ann's Catholic Church. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, will be in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Aiello was born in Staten Island, N.Y., a son of Ciro Aiello and Mary Pesce Aiello. He was a member of Kingstree Moose Lodge and of St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Jean M. Aiello; three daughters, Jeanne Burns of Chicago, Joan Matthys of Algonquin, Ill., and Kathryn Schad of Cary, Ill.; two sisters, Anne Talercio and Rose Marie DeAngelis, both of New York; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Sturgeon was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of William D. Felkel and Ida Linett Felkel. She was a member of Elloree United Methodist Church and the widow of Henry M. Sturgeon.

GEORGETOWN - James Morrison Hills, 86, founder of Hills Auto Parts and founding partner of The Boat Shed, died Thursday in his residence. Mr. Hills was born in McClellanville, a son of John T. Hills and Susan E. Morrison Hills. He was a graduate of McClellanville High School and attended the University of South Carolina. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Winyah Indigo Society. He was an elder and deacon at Georgetown Presbyterian Church. He was the widower of Mary Adams Hills.
Surviving are two sons, James M. Hills Jr. of Georgetown and Joseph A. Hills of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
