GLENN W. COLEMAN
ISLE OF PALMS - Glenn William Coleman, 89, a retired owner of Candy Distributor, died Wednesday at his residence. Private burial will be held in Anderson, according to the Cremation Center of Charleston.
Mr. Coleman was born in Anderson, a son of Luther Coleman and Lucille Miller Coleman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant.
Surviving are a daughter, Rita Ogbin of Isle of Palms; a sister, Lavinia Hodges of Anderson; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

MARY C. LEWIS
Mary Champagne Lewis, 59, of James Island, a retired nurse, died Sunday at her residence. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. James Presbyterian Church. Burial, directed by Fielding Funeral Home of Charleston, will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Charleston, a daughter of Augustus Champagne and Nellie Richardson Champagne. She attended W. Gresham Meggett High School and Bronx Community College in Bronx, N.Y. She was a member of Redeeming Love Christian Center in Nanuet, N.Y.
Surviving are her husband, Samuel Lewis; two daughters, Sylvia Cobb of New York and Nassoma Lewis of Charleston; a son, Travis Champagne of San Diego; three sisters, Lillian Lemon, Marilyn White and Sandra Campbell, all of Charleston; three brothers, William Champagne, Augusta Champagne and Bobby Champagne, all of Charleston; and several grandchildren.

JAMES F. SCOGGIN Jr.
James Franklin Scoggin Jr., 79, of Charleston, a former professor of electrical engineering with The Citadel, died Monday at his residence. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Burial, directed by Stuhr's Downtown Chapel, will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Scoggin was born in Laurel, Miss., a son of James F. Scoggin and Berenice Evans Phares Scoggin. He attended Mississippi State University, U.S. Military Academy, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Virginia. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Radio Club of America, American Nuclear Society, Precision Measurements Association, Tau Beta Pi, National Engineering Honor Society and St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. He was the widower of Madeline Eve Lannelle Scoggin.
Surviving are two daughters, Tracy S. Iannelli of Charlestown, Mass., and Beryl W. Brown of Louisville, Ky.; a son, James F. Scoggin III of Honolulu, Hawaii; a brother, John K. Scoggin of Winchester, Va.; and three grandchildren.

CLINTON L. BERRY
Clinton L. Berry, 70, of North Charleston, a plumber and former bus driver with Charleston County schools and First Baptist Church, died Tuesday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Holmes Avenue Baptist Church. Burial, directed by McAlister-Smith's Goose Creek Chapel, will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Berry was born in Donalsonville, Ga., a son of Edd Berry and Bessie Smith Berry.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Musgrove Berry; a son, Phillip Berry of Folly Beach; seven daughters, June Knowlton of Hanahan, Kay Williams of Iron City, Ga., Deborah Berry-Taylor of Columbus, Miss., Lynn Neuben of Charleston, Shirley Thompson of Hartsville, Pamela Robinson of James Island and Denise Montgomery of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Evelyn Jones of Summerville; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchild.

ROBERTA B. WATERMAN
Roberta Beers Waterman, 83, of North Charleston, died Tuesday in a local nursing home. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Carolina Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, according to Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Waterman was born in Yarmouth, Maine, a daughter of Robert Beers. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband, Vernon Waterman of Gaston; two sons, Robert C. Waterman of Greensboro, N.C., and Paul L. Waterman of Gaston; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

WILLIAM W. COUILLARD
MOUNT PLEASANT - William Webster Couillard, 50, a respiratory therapist with Lexington Hospital in Columbia, died Tuesday in a local hospital. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel. Burial will be private.
Mr. Couillard was a born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of Luther W. Couillard and Virginia Bragg Couillard. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa and Metropolitan College in Denver.
Surviving are his wife, Debbie Couillard; his mother of Hartwell, Ga.; a son, Matthew Couillard of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Jessica Couillard of Mount Pleasant; and a sister, Candace C. Puffall of Hartwell.

PAUL H. LIVINGSTON
ELLOREE - Paul Hart Livingston, 82, a retired salesman, died Tuesday at his residence. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today in Elloree United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Fogle- Hungerpiller Funeral Home, will be in Bookhart Family cemetery.
Mr. Livingston was born in Elloree, a son of David T. Livingston and Mattie Bookhart Livingston. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Elloree Community Hunting Club and Elloree United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn W.K. Livingston; three daughters, Sybil L. Brandenburg of Germany, Caroline L. Chinery of Charlotte and Jane K. Byrd of Huntsville, Ala.; three sons, Paul H. Livingston Jr. of Florence, Lawrence R. Livingston of Elloree and John E. Keller of Fresno, Calif.; a brother, Charles P. Livingston of Elloree; two sisters, June Shirer of Elloree and Martha Cromley of Saluda; and 10 grandchildren.

ATLANTA - The funeral for Rhonda Clay will be at 11 a.m. today in Unity Baptist Church in Eutawville, S.C. Burial, directed by Eutawville Community Funeral Home of Eutawville, will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Clay, 30, of Warren, Ohio, died Aug. 3 in Atlanta. She was born in Bronx, N.Y., a daughter of Viola Ravenell-Martino. She attended Charleston County, S.C., schools. She attended Hoyt Street Church of God in Christ in Ohio.
Surviving are her husband, Trenell Clay of Warren; her mother of Cross, S.C.; a daughter, Tonishia Ravenell of Warren; two sons, Demarko Neal and Daquan Campbell, both of Warren; two sisters, Latasha Dorcenas of Atlanta and Nikisha Martino of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Anthony D. Ravenell of Greenville; and her grandmother, Harriet Ravenell of Cross.

DOMINIQUE ELLIS
ATLANTA - The funeral for Dominique Ellis will be at 11 a.m. today in Unity Baptist Church in Eutawville, S.C. Burial, directed by Eutawville Community Funeral Home, will be in the church cemetery.
Dominique, 7, a son of Latasha Martino-Dorcenas, died Aug. 3 in Atlanta. He was born in Charleston and attended Atlanta schools.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Rafael Dorcenas, both of Atlanta; a grandmother, Viola Martino of Cross, S.C.; and a great-grandmother, Harriet Ravenell of Cross.

IDA H. LOWE
BEAUFORT - Ida E. Gibson Horton Lowe, 92, a former dietitian aide with Beaufort Hospital and a former Beaufort Elementary School lunchroom employee, died Wednesday in a local nursing home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in The Baptist Church of Beaufort. Burial, directed by Anderson Funeral Home, will be in Sand Hill cemetery in Hampton County.
Mrs. Lowe was born in Hampton County, a daughter of P.M. Gibson and Alice Mixson Gibson. She was an active member of The Baptist Church of Beaufort. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence F. Horton and was the widow of Earl B. Lowe.
Surviving are two sons, Fred G. Horton and Charles E. Horton, both of Beaufort; a stepdaughter, Mary H. Smith of Beaufort; a brother, W.S. Gibson of Cummings; three sisters, Mary G. Mixson and Myrtle G. Mixson, both of Cummings and Marie G. Heape of Sheldon; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-great-grandchildren.

ZOE G. TSAGOS
BEAUFORT - Zoe Athena Glavas Tsagos, 91, died Tuesday in a Savannah hospital. The funeral and burial will be private, according to Anderson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tsagos was born in Zante, Greece. She was a retired professor with Fairleigh Dickenson University in Rutherford, N.J. She was a member of the Joint Planning Commission and the Friends of the Library. She served as the editor for the 1976 and 1985 editions of "A Guide to Beaufort County Government."
Surviving is a niece, Agnes Garr of Chatsworth, Calif.

KINGSTREE - Dexter Martin, 54, a former employee with the City of Charleston Fire Department, died Saturday at his residence. The funeral will be at noon Friday in Trinity Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, will be in Kingstree cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born in Chicago, a son of Sonnie Martin and Hazel Martin. He attended Chicago schools and served in the Navy. He was an active member of Trinity Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia McCullough Martin of Charleston; his father of Chicago; a son, Dexter T. Martin of Charleston; four brothers, Sonnie Martin of Kingstree, Johnny Martin of Chicago, Sherman Martin of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Joseph Martin of Hammond, Ind.; and three sisters, Juanita King of Park Forest, Ill., Yvonne Gray of University Park, Ill., and Hazel Ridgell of Hammond, Ind.

ATLANTA - Kenny Leonard Simmons, 37, a long distance driver, died Saturday in Atlanta. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Decatur, according to Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Funeral Home of Beaufort, S.C. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Baptist Church cemetery in Dale, S.C.
Mr. Simmons was born in Beaufort County, S.C., a son of Ruthie Simmons. He attended Beaufort County schools and was a graduate of Battery Creek High School.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Simmons; his mother of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter, Latisa Kidd of Atlanta; and three sisters, Kori Riddick of Philadelphia, Maxine Daise and Michelle Daise, both of Stuart Point, S.C.
