Mrs. Markus was born in Alva, Ky., a daughter of Dexter W. Bradford and Lawrence Bradford.
Surviving are a son, L. Arthur Erwin of North Augusta; three daughters, Martha E. Harvey of Cincinnati, Linda E. Aytes of Dorchester and Terri E. Bivens of Cornelius, N.C.; a brother, Charles Bradford of Florida; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

KINGSTREE - Candace I. Brown, 84, died Monday in Boston. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in Faith United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home, will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born in Palatka, Fla., a daughter of Zachary Brown and Josephine Henry. She was a graduate of Dunbar High School in Florida and Apex School of Beauty and Chandler Secretarial School in Boston. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the founder and president of the Urban Living Project in Boston, a past president of the United Methodist Women and an active member of Faith United Methodist Church in Kingstree.
Surviving are a son, Roosevelt Molden Jr. of Lake City, Fla.,; four daughters, Vaughncille Molden, Patricia Molden and Betty Jean Wilson, all of Boston, and Stephanie McAskill of Kingstree; six grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
