Burial will be held in Georgia Memorial Park cemetery, Marietta, Georgia.born on December 10, 1925 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Iber McCollum and Mary Bernice Jordan McCollum.She was a graduate of North Charleston High School. She was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith.Surviving are a daughter, Toni A. Pope of Summerville; a son, Randall Wayne Hester, Sr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Randall Wayne Hester, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., Theresa Shondell Brewer of Jacksonville, Fla., Colby Tyler Pope of Tulsa, Ok.; a sister, Jackie Charpa Clack of Summerville; a brother, Bobby Harrison McCollum of Monroe, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.Arrangements by JAMES A. Bennett died Friday morning in a North Charleston hospital.Funeral service will be held Monday, November 5, 2001 at 1 o'clock in Miles Road Baptist Church, Summerville. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired crane operator with the Transportation Department at the Charleston Naval Weapons Station. He was a member of Miles Road Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; two sons and daughter-in-law, Robby and Tosha Bennett of Charleston and Micah Bennett of Summerville; two grandsons, Cade and Sims Bennett both of Charleston; brother, Donnie Bennett of St. Mary's, Ga.; sister, Annelle Bennett of Slidell, La.Arrangements by JAMES A. Cornelia King Dubois, 66, of Hanahan, widow of William W. "Cubby" Dubois, died Saturday in a North Charleston hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. born in Ft. Pierce, Fla., she was the daughter of William Calvin King and Lena F. Wheeler King.
Survivors include daughters, Teena Dubois and Melissa Dubois both of Hanahan and Susan Shipman of North Charleston; a sister, Maude Dubois of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the form of a love offering to the family at 1220 Sumner Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.

Helen Freeman Darby, 93, of Mt. Pleasant, widow of Charles Pinckney Darby died at her home, surrounded by family, on the afternoon of Sunday, November 4, 2001. The funeral service will be held at the graveside at 10:00 o'clock Tuesday morning, November 6, 2001 in Christ Episcopal Churchyard cemetery, 2304 Highway 17 North, Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd., this evening (Monday) from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.
born on April 17, 1908 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Willington Edmondston Freeman and Susan Magwood Freeman, Helen was a senior resident of Mt. Pleasant's Old Village. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law; R. Gordon (Anne) Darby and Charles P. (Joyce) Darby, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Charles P. Darby, III, Beth Darby Haizlip, Anne Darby Parker, John C.L. Darby, Joya Darby Wolf, Susan Darby Pierce and Robert Darby as well as nineteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to MUSC Children's Hospital, 171 Ashley Ave., Charleston, SC 29425.
HIRST, Anne
ROCK HILL - Miss Anne Wood Hirst, 88, of Rock Hill, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2001, at a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior with the Rev. Michael Lumpkin officiating followed by a graveside service 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2001, at the Trinity Episcopal Church cemetery in Edisto Island, S.C.
A native of Madison, Wisc., she was the daughter of the late Arthur Roscoe Hirst and Daisey Isabel Babylon Hirst. A member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior of Rock Hill where she was a former member of the Choir, member of the St. Anne's Guild, and for many years was the Christian Education Director of the church. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She taught in the public school system in Madison, Wisc., and in the Alternative Aid Business School in Charleston, S.C. She was the Administrative Assistant to the Registrar of Winthrop College. She was a member of the Business Professional Women's Association. She was preceded in death by her sister Mrs. Dallas Hirst Lumpkin, and brother-in-law Rev. William W. Lumpkin former rector of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in Rock Hill, S.C. Miss Hirst is the last of the Hirst Family of Cambridge Maryland.
Survivors include, nephews, Bill Lumpkin of Cliffton Forge, Va., Arthur Lumpkin of Columbia, S.C., Alex Lumpkin of Naperville, Ill., Rev. Michael Lumpkin of Summerville, S.C.; nieces, Dallas Garbee of Columbia, S.C., Anne Beach of Raleigh, N.C., Betty L. Gregory of Columbia, S.C., Julie Lumpkin-Kana of Columbia, S.C.; many great-nieces and nephews; many great-great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of Our Savior Memorial Fund in Rock Hill, S.C.
