He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Richardeen Davis Sass, the beloved father of Roy, Marvin and Charlene Sass. The beloved brother of Frank, Ben, Sarah, Denoris, Ionia and Rebecca Sass.

Blanche Rose Frenyea Ford, 72, of Summerville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 6, 2001. Private services have been arranged at J. HENRY STUHR, INC. GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL.
Mrs. Ford was born March 11, 1929 in Blackbrook, New York, the daughter of Edward and Alice Frenyea. She was the widow of Bernard F. Ford and a retired administrative assistant of the R.O.T.C. program at Baptist College.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Noel Bostain of Dorchester, her son, Michael Ford of Palm Springs, California, her granddaughters, Bernadette Rose Bostain and Brittany Noel Soileau and a great-grandson, Brandon Pierce Soileau. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Richard Frenyea of Peru, NY and two sisters, Alice Bushy of Morrisonville, NY and Dorothy Kruse of Pennsylvania Furnace, PA.

Mrs. Crawford was born in Awendaw, SC, on June 11, 1925, a daughter of John Thomas Porte and Lilly Potter Porte. She was retired from Cummins Engine Company, Inc., and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Allen T. Yates of Conway, SC, Alfred Yates of Bonneau, SC, and David L. Yates of Mt. Pleasant, SC, two daughters, Rhoda Massey of Goose Creek, SC, and Ida Y. Draper of North Charleston, SC, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one grandchildren.

Mrs. DiPaolo was born May 21, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Eugenio Silvestro and Carmalla Silvestro. She was a retired Director of Food & Beverage Purchasing for the El Dorado Hotel and Casino. She was a member of Nativity Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of Charleston, SC; one son: Eugene S. DiPaolo and his wife Vicki of Charleston, SC; two daughters: Linda V. McDonald and her husband Thomas of Reno, Nevada, Michele Stanley and her husband Robbie of Majuro, Marshall Islands; one sister: Constance Toth of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother: Anthony Silvestro of Reno, Nevada; 9 grandchildren: Crispin Valencia, Antona Stanley, Alex Stanley, Julian DiPaolo, Joseph DiPaolo, Chincey Chuturo, James Chuturo, Julia Chuturo and Juliete Chuturo. Her sister, Linda Silvestro, predeceased her.

BIERER, Sandra
Mrs. Sandra Faye Tate "Sandy" Bierer 68 of 144 Salkehatchie Road in Yemassee, died Wednesday morning in the Bayview Nursing Center in Beaufort, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Bierer was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvannia May 23, 1933, a daughter of the late Lawrence Camden Tate and Grace Sutton Tate. She was the former Director of the Merrick Art Gallery and Museum in New Brighton, Pennsylvania was a member of the Eastern Star in Pennsylvania, and the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Yemassee.
Surviving are: Her husband: Thomas William Bierer of Yemassee; son: William Scott Bierer of New Brighton, Pennsylvania, son and daughter-in-law: David Tate Bierer and Anita Bierer of Hampton; one sister: Wanda Borsa of New Freedom, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren: Elizabeth Bierer of Hampton, Richard and Stephen Bierer of New Brighton, Pennsylvania.
Funeral service will be 10 A.M., Saturday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton, conducted by Rev. Jack Bailey with burial in the Ebenezer cemetery in Yemassee.
Friends may call at the Chapel in Hampton from 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, and Saturday morning prior to services.
