YEMASSEE, SC - Alfred Grampus, 47, brother of Loretta G. Shaw, formerly of Atlanta, Ga., died Wednesday in the Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, SC.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday 1:00 p.m. in the CHAPEL OF YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, YEMASSEE, SC.
born November 13, 1954, Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late James and Dorothy S. Grampus. He attended the Burke High School, Charleston, SC and was employed numerous years as a roofer. He has resided in Atlanta, Ga., until his recent relocation to Yemassee.
He was predeceased by two brothers, James Grampus, Jr. and William Grampus and his sister, Deloris Pinckney.
Survivors are his son, Alfred Grampus, Jr., Atlanta, Ga., two brothers, David Grampus, Charleston, SC, and Larry Grampus, Elizabeth, NJ.; two sisters, Loretta Shaw, Yemassee, SC. and Brenda McKnight, Harleyville, SC.; other relatives.

MORRIS, Audrey
PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. - Audrey Guest Morris, 78, died Monday, November 19, 2001, at her residence.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 24, 2001, at 11 a.m., in Pawleys Island Baptist Church. A second service will be held Monday, November 26, 2001, at 11 a.m. in Smith Funeral Home in Blackshier, Ga. Burial will follow in the Ramah Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
She was born May 17, 1923, in Pierce County, Ga., a daughter of the late Daniel Leslie Raulerson and Ethel Williams Raulerson.
Mrs. Morris was a farm wife for years before entered a dual career as an insurance salesperson, one of the first women to do so in Georgia, and feature correspondent for several Georgia newspapers, including the Blackshear Times, Waycross Journal-Herald, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Savannah Morning News.
After retiring from Woodmen of the World Insurance in Pawleys Island, she continued news writing with a weekly column in the Georgetown (S.C.) Times until her death, and except for her family, this role was the most important activity in her life, as she delighted in extolling the virtues of everyday people. Her favorite expression after a successful story would often include the remark that "I'll bet that's the first time (the subject's) name has ever been in the paper."
At the time of her death, she was enthusiastically pursuing a new story about the "Happy Wheels" project that benefits patients at the Children's Hospital at the Medical University of S.C. in Charleston, which will appear posthumously.
She had been a resident of Pawley's Island for 30 years and was a long standing member of Pawley's Island Baptist Church.
Surviving are, two sons, Bill Guest of New Baden, Texas, and Butch Guest of Charleston; daughters-in-law, Glenda Strickland Guest of New Baden, Texas, Linda Bryant Guest of Ganesville, Ga., and Victoria R. Guest of Charleston; five grandchildren, Mark Guest of Lake Charles, La., Robby Guest of Houston, Texas, Karen Guest Brooks of Houston, Texas, Kenny Guest of Dallas, Texas, and Laramie Bryant Guest of Mt. Pleasant; one great-grandchild, Layne Bryant Guest of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Oletha Bennett of Mershon, Ga., and Marlene Duncan of Social Circle, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Raulerson of Baptist Village.
She was predeceased by a brother E.D. Raulerson.

GEORGETOWN - Eunice F. Edwards, 67, widow of G. Wade Edwards, Jr., died Tuesday, Novmeber 20, 2001, in a Ft. Worth, Texas, hospital.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2001, at 2 p.m., in Screven Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Ellis and Rev. Alan Norman. Burial, directed by GRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
She was born in July 29, 1934, in Horry County, a daughter of the late Irven McLaurin Fleming and Martha Eugene Denton Fleming.
She was a graduate of Conway High School and Columbia Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse with Georgetown Memorial Hospital for 27 years and later was employed by Georgetown County Schools as a school nurse until her retirement in 1997. She was a member of Screven Baptist Church and also a member of the church choir and the Esther Sunday School Class.
Surviving are, two daughters, Theressa J. Edwards of Denton, Texas, and Patti Yvonne Edwards of Bemidji, Minn.; one brother, James F. (Buck) Fleming of Tucker, Ga.; one sister, Edna L. Fleming of Conway and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

GIBSONVILLE, N.C. - Otis Anderson Cowan, 84, of 401 Willow Court, Gibsonville, died Thursday, November 22, 2001, at 6:10 a.m.
born in Marietta, Ga., Mr. Otis was the son of the late Otis Anderson Cowan, Sr., and the late Willie Grace Waters Cowan, retired after 30 years with the Civil Service. He was of the Methodist Faith, an U.S. Army Veteran of W.W.II, who served in the 82nd Airborne Division.
Graveside funeral service will be in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Mt. Pleasant, S.C., 2 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2001. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
