The relatives and friends of Mrs. Mildred Ila Grastly Chattman are invited to attend her funeral services in H. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Tuesday afternoon, October 9, 2001, at 2:00 o'clock. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at STUHR'S GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL on Monday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.Mrs. Chattman was born in Greenville, South Carolina on February 18, 1925, the daughter of Fred and Eunice Inez Sizemore Grastly. She retired as owner of Chattman Salvage Lumber Yard and was a member of the Church of Nazarene. She was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Hanahan Chapter #250.Surviving are one son, Roy James Chattman of North Charleston, SC; four daughters, Shirley Ann Hodges Hall of Dorchester, SC, M. Candy Ryan of Charleston, SC, Linda C. Goodale of Ladson, SC, and M. Ruth Chattman Bohannon of Summerville, SC; four sons-in-law, 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by two children, Donnie Ray Chattman and Bonnie Faye Johnson.

TAYLOR, Myrtle
GREER - Myrtle Babb Taylor, 92, formerly of 1795 E. Poinsett St. Ext. died October 6, 2001. She was the widow of Fred L. Taylor.A native of Greer, she was a daughter of the late Homer Babb and Hattie Campbell Babb Atkins, a member of First Baptist Church Duncan and a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing Company.Surviving are four daughters: Doris Smith of Summerville, Jean Morgan of Lyman, Geraldine Stephens of Woodruff and Betty Monroe of Greer; two brothers, Claude Babb of Greer and James Babb of Greenville; two sisters, Lizzie Flynn of Greer and Alta Babb of Greenville; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church Duncan conducted by the Rev. Roger Clark, the Rev. Carroll Caldwell and the Rev. Dan Smith. Burial will be in Wood Memorial Park.Pallbearers will be Benny Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Richard Vaughn, Palether Burnett Michael Sandlin and Steve Sandlin.The family is at the home of a daughter, Betty Monroe, 207 Snow Street, Greer. AULD, Dorothy
Dorothy Tyree Auld, 77, widow of James William Auld died at her residence in Charleston. Mrs. Auld was born September 7, 1926 a daughter of Martha Lou White Tyree and the late Marion Clifton Tyree in Whiteville, NC. She retired as a bookkeeper with W.A. Hunt Construction Company. Mrs. Auld is survived by her mother of Whiteville, NC, 2 daughters: Jean A. Pairis and Judy A. Howell both of Chesapeake, VA, a sister: Mary Alice Hunt of Charleston and four grandchildren: Kelly P. Kram of Milwaukie, OR and David E. Howell, Jr., M. Scott Howell and C. Ryan Pairis all of Chesapeake, VA. She is predeceased by 2 sisters: Orene T. Mercer and Annette T. Willetts. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Dorothy T. Auld are invited to attend her memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2001 at the JAMES A. MCALISTER CHAPEL, 1620 SAVANNAH HWY. GAILLARD, Lucy
Lucy Foster Gaillard, 81, of Charleston, died Saturday, October 6, 2001. She was the wife of J. Palmer Gaillard, Jr., former Mayor of Charleston. She and the former Mayor were married for over 57 years.Mrs. Gaillard was the former Lucy Foster, daughter of William Ball Foster and Lucy Huguenin Foster. She was born in Charleston on September 16, 1920. She attended local schools and worked as a stenographer on Broad Street for several years, prior to her marriage.When she was younger, she was an active member of the Junior League of Charleston and other civic activities. She was also very active for sixteen years as Charleston's First Lady and was known and admired for her home entertaining. She always accompanied her husband on his official City responsibilities believing that it was her duty as First Lady of the City.She is survived by her husband, three sons, J. Palmer Gaillard, III, W. Foster Gaillard, Thomas H. Gaillard; and five grandchildren, all of Charleston.Funeral services will be held at St. Philip's Church at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2001, and the burial will be in the Church cemetery. ORANGEBURG - Mrs. Wardlaw (Wardie) B. Bair, 78, died Saturday.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Tuesday, at the St. George Baptist Church, Orangeburg, with the Rev. Jimmy Hanf officiating, burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, at THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, in Orangeburg.
Survivors include, daughter, Phyllis B. Croft of Johns Island; son, Earl R. Bair, Jr., of Orangeburg; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Mae Irick, Orangeburg, Mrs. Neva B. Croft, Charleston, Mrs. Lois B. Tucker, Columbia; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

DAVIS, Sonny
Sonny (Bo) Lamar Davis, 57, of Summerville, S.C., died Friday, October 5, 2001, at a North Charleston hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel on Monday afternoon, October 8, 2001, at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. David Witfield and Rev. Clem Briggs. Burial will be in Summerville cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born June 5, 1944, in Dothan, Ala., a son of the late James Ellis Davis and the late Foy Dee Miller Davis. He was a self-employed certified welder. He attended Deliverance Tabernacle Ministries.
Survivors include his close companion, Barbara O. Davis of Summerville, daughter, Dawn (Shellie) Davis of Ladson, step-daughters, Sebrina E. McKee of Summerville, and Karen T. Parker of Ridgeville, step-sons, Keith H. Grooms, Mark A. Grooms, and Johnny H. Stallings, all of Summerville, sister, Alma Burbage of Ladson, Verna Scott of North Charleston, Frances Harrell of Webb, Ala., Sara Hobbs and Betty Cochran, both of Dothan, Ala., brothers, Paul Davis of Midland City, Ala., James Davis of Dothan, Ala., and Travis Davis of Bonifay, Fla., 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Nell Bolt.

BUSSEY, Maria
Maria Theresa Virgilio Bussey, 49, died at her home in Mt. Pleasant on Friday afternoon, October 5, 2001. The funeral service will be 11:00 o'clock Monday (today) in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
Maria was born in Bronx, New York on August 23, 1952, a daughter of Gloria Stella Virgilio of Yorktown Heights, NY and the late Joseph Virgilio. She was the administrative assistant to the President of Siebe North.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Bussey, her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Monica Virgilio of Carmel, NY; her sister and brother-in-law, Gina and Joseph Oriti of Yorktown Heights, NY. Five nieces and nephews, Joseph, Christina and Daniel Virgilio as well as Dana and Joseph Oriti also survive.
