WEBSTER, Aaron
FLORENCE, S.C. - Aaron Hayes Webster, 27, of Brandon Woods Road, Florence, S.C., died Tuesday evening, October 9, 2001, in a Florence hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Florence.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, in St. Luke's Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Henry Moody, Pastor.
The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the church and other times at the residence of A.W. and Louise Goins, 4708 Lawson Grove Road, Timmonsville, S.C.
Mr. Webster was born in Columbia, S.C., a son of Richard R. and Barbara Wells Webster. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and was employed as Zone Manager in the Circulation Department of the Florence Morning News.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Rogers Webster of Florence, S.C.; two children, Abigail Tera Webster and Alistair Evon Coleburn, both of the home; parents, Richard P. and Barbara Wells Webster of Dover, N.H.; maternal grandmother, Anne Wells of Columbia, S.C.; paternal grandmother, Grace Webster of Ocala, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
STOUDEMIRE-DOWLING FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.

Entered into eternal rest on October 9, 2001, Joe Franklin Yates, 65, husband of Jacquelyn Bass Yates. Residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Franklin Yates are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Friday morning, October 12, 2001, at 11 o'clock. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
Mr. Yates was born in Columbus, Ga., the son of Joe Lindsey and Louise Crowder Yates. He was a taxi driver for Checker Cab Company. He was a former member of the Army National Guard.
Surviving are his wife of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Joe Randall Yates and William Timothy Yates, both of Charleston, S.C.; one brother, Charles Perry Yates of Summerville, S.C.; one sister, Shirley Ann Yates of Florida; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Yates; one grandson, Johnny Randall Yates; one granddaughter, La Teisha Diane Yates. Mr. Yates was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Lindzey Yates, Sr.

DeBOK, Dale

ELLIS, JR., Virgil
Petty Officer 1st Class Virgil Ellis, Jr., U.S. Navy Ret., 74, of Goose Creek, died Tuesday in a North Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. born in Kershaw, he was the son of Virgil Ellis, Sr. and Edna Hudson Ellis. Mr. Ellis was a former employee of the State Ports Authority Security Staff. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ellis was a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Reid Ellis; daughters, Edna Reid of Baltimore, MD, Susan Ellis and Patricia Hessiltine both of Goose Creek; sons, Timothy Ellis and William Ellis both of Goose Creek; a sister, Helen Ingram of Lancaster; a brother, Emmett Ellis of California and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC.

Mrs. Jackson was born June 17, 1930, in Sellers, SC, the daughter of Charles Haselden and Lorraine Price Haselden. She was a member of Harbor Light Baptist Church. She was a retired Supply Clerk with the Ralph H. Johnson, V.A. Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband of James Island, SC; three daughters, Abby J. Wilkins of James Island, SC and Sharon J. Boan of James Island, SC, Roxanne M. Reese of Troutman, NC; two sons, Charles Travis Jackson, Jr. and Frank J. Jackson both of Charleston, SC; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Lois Nusabaum of Hamer, SC; two brothers, Schofield Haselden and Sim Haselden both of Sellers, SC.
Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Baptist Church, 1300 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston, SC 29412.

Phillip Driggers, Sr., 81, of Summerville, S.C., died Monday, October 8, 2001, at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Ridge Baptist Church on Thursday afternoon, October 11, 2001, at 12 noon. Burial will be held at Plantation Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service.

WALTERBORO - Rev. Bennie Jenkins, 62, of 204 Gadsden Loop, Walterboro, died Monday, October 8, 2001, in Winston-Salem, NC.
The funeral will be Friday, October 12, 2001, at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Peter's A.M.E. Church, Walterboro. Burial will be in John Brown cemetery, Smoaks.
Rev. Jenkins was born in Smoaks, SC and was a son of Rev. Wilson Jenkins and the late Josephine Florrie Williams Jenkins. He was a graduate of Ruffin High School and retired from J.P. Stevens Company in Walterboro. He was a member of St. Peter's A.M.E. Church, Walterboro.
Surviving are four daughters, Diane Jenkins, Winston-Salem, NC, Willie Mae Ali, Hartsford, Conn., Alfaire Ledbetter, Ft. Polk, La. and Ruthie Mae Jenkins, Maryland, Conn.; one sister, Dorothy Harris, Columbia, SC and four grandchildren.
