BROCKINGTON, E.
KINGSTREE - Elizabeth Mixon Brockington died Sunday, October 14, 2001, at her residence after an illness.
Mrs. Brockington was born in Sumter, S.C., a daughter of the late Oscar and Betty Guerry Mixon. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and attended Columbia College, taking business courses and choir. She was a secretary for many years, pianist for Millwood United Methodist Church for many years, a member of Three Rivers Society and a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the Kindergarten class.
Surviving is her husband, John David Brockington of Kingstree.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2001, in the Kingstree United Methodist Church with burial in the Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the residence, 310 Singleton Ave., Kingstree, S.C.
Memorials may be made to Kingstree United Methodist Church, 510 N. Longstreet St., Kingstree, S.C. 29556, or Millwood United Methodist Church, 807 4th Ave., Kingstree, S.C. 29556.

The beloved husband of Mrs. Lucille M. Alston, the devoted father of Mrs. Catherine Debarr (William), Mrs. Mary Brown (Herbert), Mrs. Sandra Jamison (Arthur), Mrs. Minnie L. Sherrold, Mr. Richard Clary Alston, Mr. Timothy Alston, Mrs. Laura Ann Alston, Mrs. Thelma Magwood (Robert), and the late Mr. Archie Alston and Mr. Paul Alston.

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 14, 2001, Emogene "Tootsie" Alligood Bottoms. Residence Ladson, South Carolina. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at the graveside, Carolina Memorial Gardens, Wednesday morning, October 17, 2001 at 11:00 o'clock. Mrs. Bottoms was born October 4, 1940 in Thomasville, Georgia a daughter of the late Joseph William and Lucimae Callahan Alligood. She was a graduate of North Charleston High School and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in North Charleston, SC.
Surviving are her husband Harold Thomas Bottoms of North Charleston, her sons; Harold Thomas Bottoms, Jr. of Huger, SC and Michael Joseph Bottoms of Ladson, SC; a daughter, Robin B. Seay of Summerville, SC and a sister, Frances Holliday of Charleston, SC and three grandchildren.

SANCHEZ, Abraham
Abraham Sanchez, 6, of Ridgeville, died Thursday evening.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at 10:00 o'clock in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 6650 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, 29418. Rite of Committal with Final Commendation will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville.
Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 5 until 7 o'clock this evening, where a Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 o'clock.
born on July 22, 1995, in Fresno, California, a son of Jesus Sanchez and Maria Evelia Gonzeles Sanchez of Ridgeville.
Abraham was in the first grade at Harleyville-Ridgeville Elementary School. He attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Surviving are his father and mother and two sisters, Daisy and Stephanie Sanchez of Ridgeville.

RISHER, JR., William
William W. Risher, II, 72, died on Thursday, October 11, on Kiawah Island, S.C. born in Charleston to Viola Henderson Wilbert and the late William W. Risher. He was a graduate of the Citadel and received his masters from the University of Maryland. Mr. Risher served his country as a Lt. in the United States Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Comptroller for the U.S. Federal Government. Mr. Risher was also a member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church. He is survived by his mother, Viola Henderson Wilbert of Orlando, Fla.; son William Risher and a daughter, Harriet Risher, both of Columbia, S.C., and a sister, Barbara Risher Smith of Orlando, Fla. The family will receive friends, Sunday, October 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 150 Wentworth St. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 15, in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Massalon was born in Bethera, SC, a daughter of William M. and Carrie Shaw Mitchum. She was a retired employee of Piggly Wiggly and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Survived by her daughter, Joye M. Bruorton of Charleston, SC, son, John J. "Jim" Massalon of Mt. Pleasant, SC, step-daughter, Grace M. Kinman of Miami, Florida, a brother, Clarence J. Mitchum of Hollywood, SC, two sisters, Dorothy M. Smoak of Meggett, SC and Virginia M. Shannon of West Palm Beach, Florida, two grandchildren, Brandi Bruorton and Jessie Bruorton, one great-grandson, Jeremy Joseph Bruorton and three step-grandchildren.
