DAVIS, Nelsie Lee
ROYSTON, GA - Mrs. Nelsie Lee Hayes Davis, 86, of 624 Pine Valley Drive, Royston, Ga. died Monday, October 22, 2001 at a Royston convalescent center.
Mrs. Davis was born in Franklin County, Ga., December 5, 1914, daughter of the late Charlie Baxter and Oda Osborn Hayes. She was a secretary at Dr. Stewart Brown's medical office for many years and a member of the Royston First United Methodist Church where she was a former steward and Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Davis was a former member of the Ty Cobb Health Care System Pink Ladies Auxiliary, and the American Red Cross. She was a graduate of Brenau College and was a member of the meals on wheels. Her husband was the late Glen M. Davis.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Charles M. and Dianne Davis, Americus, Ga.; daughters and son-in-law, Glynda Davis, Starr, SC and Peggy Davis Rollins (Harold), Dalton, Ga.; grandchildren, Robert Eaker, Jr., Mike Motes, Holly White, Pamela Eaker, Olivia Motes, Allison Davis, Ryan Lick; great-grandchildren, Regan White and Emma White. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Davis, and a sister, Florence Purcell.
Memorial services for Mrs. Davis will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at the Royston United Methodist Church with Rev. Vernon Boswell, Rev. Brian Clark and Rev. Bobby Anthony officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Fidelis Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday night. The family is at the home of Mrs. Sara Ray, 142 Old Elbert Rd., Royston, Georgia.

Tommy Livingston Farr, 60, of Columbia, SC, formerly of Morganton, died Saturday, October 20, 2001 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia following a brief illness. born February 24, 1941 in Burke County he was the son of Viola Inez Williams Farr of Morganton and the late Forest Charles Farr, Sr.
In addition to his mother he is survived by children, Tucker and Laura; brothers, Charles Farr of Colorado Springs, CO; Dick Farr of Morganton and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at Forest Hill cemetery with Rev. Jason Harvey officiating.

Frances Joyner Fillingame, 67, of St. Stephen, SC, died Sunday in a Charleston hospital.

Mrs. Fillingame was born Jan. 16, 1934, in Moncks Corner, SC, a daughter of Emerson Joyner and Fannie Pipkin Joyner. She is the widow of Jarvis Fillingame.
Surviving are, two daughters, Barbara Rogers of Moncks Corner and Dale Dixon of Kernsville, NC; three sons, Jerry Fillingame of Summerville, Freddie Fillingame of St. Stephen, and Franklin "Jim" Fillingame of Norwich, CN; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
