Miss Joyce Randolph Townsend, 65, of Youngblood Road in Trenton, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011 at her residence.
Graveside services were held Monday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. at Eastview cemetery in Edgefield.
Miss Townsend was a native of Tennessee and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Renee Arnold and Sharon Courtney; three sons, Garry Moore, Terry Hornsby and Max Townsend; a sister, Ethel Randolph; three brothers, Leroy Randolph, Jimmy Randolph and Tommie Randolph; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Margaret Sisk Haynie, 65, of 521 Circle Drive, widow of Charles W. Haynie, Sr. died Thursday, August 04, 2011 at her home. born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Mary Ruth Reynolds Anderson and the late Hubert Larry Sisk. Margaret was a paper carrier for the Index Journal and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Larry Sisk. Surviving are her mother and father, Ray Anderson of Greenwood; five children: Charles W. Haynie, Jr., Lisa Haynie Coker (Ricky), Traci Haynie Temples (Jeff), all of Ninety Six, Tina Haynie of Ware Shoals and Michael (Wendy) Haynie of Greenwood; a sister, Diane White of Greenwood; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gary Skidmore, Scotty Skidmore, Rusty Haynie, Kevin Haynie, Scotty Collins and Eddie Fain. Honorary escort will be Gary Haynie, Keith Skidmore and Wayne Collins. Mary Elizabeth Littlejohn, 83, of Magnolia Manor, Greenwood, SC and formerly of 128 Russell Street, Gaffney, SC, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at Hospice House, Greenwood, from a massive stroke. She was the daughter of the late James Frank Littlejohn and Mamie Jane Tate Hill Littlejohn. A graduate of Gaffney High School and Winthrop College, Miss Littlejohn worked in secretarial positions in Washington, DC, Culver City, CA and Charlotte, NC. She moved back to Gaffney in 1973. Her avocation was writing. She published four volumes of sonnets-one for each season of the year. She also wrote short stories and limericks-many of them comical. She played the piano and enjoyed watching political programs on television. Miss Littlejohn was raised in the Baptist faith and attended Unitarian Universalist Churches in Washington, DC and California. She read a lot of religious books, particularly on the life of Christ. She is survived by a niece, Melissa Daniel Sizemore of Waterloo, SC and three nephews, Dr. David E. Daniel of Midland, TX, Henry Jefferson Smith of Hawaii and Andrew Lee Smith of California. Also surviving is a cousin, Watson Burts of Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents and two half sisters, Helen Hill Daniel Martin of Gaffney and Blacksburg, and Mozelle Hill Smith of Fort Bragg, CA and a special cousin, Ruth Littlejohn Burts. The family expresses gratitude for the ten years of loving care provided to Mary by all the staff of Magnolia Manor, Greenwood, and Health Related Personnel, Greenwood. Thankfulness is also expressed to Self Regional Healthcare and Hospice House, Greenwood. Thanks also to her lifelong friends, Shirley Upton Parris, Steve and Joyce Smith, Jerome Wilson, roommate, Shirley Morse and her sitter, Geraldine Tinch.

James Leonard Wideman, 62, of 152 Orange Avenue, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at his home. born in McCormick, he was a son of Maggie Mae Turnage Wideman and the late Ralph Marion Wideman, Sr. He was a carpenter and attended White Hall Church of God. He was preceded in death by his son, James Clay Wideman, his wife, Peggy Joann Wideman and a brother, Ralph Marion Wideman. Surviving is his mother of the home; brothers and sisters, Thomas Lee Wideman, Charles J. Wideman, Lorene Whitfield, Elizabeth Wideman Brock, Curtis Edward Wideman (Jane), Shirley Wideman Lowery, Patrick O’neal Wideman and Richard Allen Wideman (Frances); sister-in-law, Ann Wideman and many nieces and nephews.

Stanley Edward “Busta” Walker, 70, of 2909 County Farm Road, widower of Bonnie Fowler Walker, died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at his home. born in Greenwood County; he was the son of the late Woodrow Workman Walker and Florence Sears Walker. Busta was a U.S. Army Reserves veteran for 35 years and received the Distinguish Service medal and Distinguish Rifleman medal. He was a fuel oil truck driver for Greenwood Petroleum for 35 years and retired from Milliken in Clinton. Busta was an avid rabbit hunter and enjoyed riding Whizzer motorbikes. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Beth Provan(Freddie) and Florence Ann Bryant (Michael); a sister, Ivey Walker Blum (Mike); and four grandchildren, Brock McDonald, Walker Provan, Devin Bryant and Lacie Bryant. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Keith Polk officiating. Robert C. Adams
Mr. Robert C. Adams, 61, of Breezy Hill Road in Graniteville, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. at Jacksonville Missionary Baptist Church, with Elder James Arthur Adams officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Adams was a 1967 graduate of Martha Schofield High School. He was a member of Jacksonville Missionary Baptist Church and was a trustee. He also served in the R.V. Palmer Gospel Chorus, Male Chorus and Boys to Men Ministry.
Survivors include three daughters, Tonya (Alphonso) Reeves, Augusta, Ga., Bellamesia Curry and Luxema Williams, both of Graniteville; three sons, Cody Kimble, North Carolina, Arsenio Williams, Edgefield, and Tony Anderson, Graniteville; three sisters, Thomasina (Freddie) Dais, Eleanor Adams, and Brenda (Douglas) Dandy, all of Graniteville; Elder James Arthur (Edith) Adams, Clearwater, Charles Adams, Edgefield, and Larry (Brenda) Adams, New Ellenton; six grandchildren; 1 goddaughter, Demetria (James) Godwin, Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of other relatives.

Betty Cosnahan Herron Baum
Mrs. Betty Cosnahan Herron Baum, 79, of Trenton, wife of the late Vincent C. Baum, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010 in Cartersville, Ga.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park in Edgefield.
Mrs. Baum was born in Bath and was of the Baptist faith. She was a retired seamstress and the retired owner and operator of Vogue Dry Cleaners on Deans Bridge Road in Augusta, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Bertha Lofton Cosnahan.
Survivors include a son, Alvin (Carol) Herron, Cartersville; a daughter, Judy (Hamp) Holmes, Trenton; six grandchildren, Russ (Ann) Herron, Lancaster, Henry (Tracey) Herron, Saluda, Mike (Kristi) Herron, Cartersville, Lisa Herron (Mark ) Carter, Cartersville, Connie Holmes (David) Reynolds, Lexington, Hamp (Stephanie) Holmes III, Trenton; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy (Ray) Dixon, Nola Irene (Don) Steimel; and a brother, J.T. B. Joel Bedenbaugh, 40, of Edgefield, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Bedenbaugh was born in Augusta, Ga. and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was the son of B. Asbury and Anna Miller Bedenbaugh. He was a graduate of Strom Thurmond High School and Lander University. He was a former textile employee of Avondale Mills.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: a sister, Stacie (Shaun) Randall, Gilbert; a niece, Jessica Randall; and a nephew Jacob Randall.

Mr. John Henry Corley, of Johnston, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m. at Mine Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor George Key, presiding, and the Rev. Larry Raiford, as eulogist. Burial was in the B & L cemetery in Batesburg.

Dale Francis Moseley
Mr. Dale Francis Moseley, of Augusta Road in Edgefield, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at Edgefield United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Moseley was born on Aug. 22, 1922, in McCormick, to Henry Thomas Moseley and Leila Wideman Moseley. As a young man he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and worked at Sequoia National Park in California. He served in World War II as a gunner's mate aboard the USS Barnes, CVE-20. Afterwards, he and Mary married
and reared their children in Edgefield. In 1988, he retired from Graniteville Company after 46 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #30 and Edgefield United Methodist Church where he was a lay speaker and Sunday School teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee McCullough Moseley; children, Kenneth Dale (Lori) Moseley of Miramar, Fla., Loyd Brogdon Moseley and Patricia Ann Moseley of Edgefield; grandchildren, Alexis Lauren Moseley and Jonathon Cohen Moseley of Miramar, Fla.; and sisters, Annie Davis of Charlotte, N.C., and Mary (Jimmy) Edmunds of McCormick; as well as nieces and nephews.

Evelyn E. O’Connell
A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Evelyn E. O'Connell, 87, of Aiken, was celebrated at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at 7 p.m. Burial followed Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m. at Calvary cemetery.
Mrs. O'Connell died in her home on Wednesday, Dec. 22, as a result of brain cancer.
The widow of Dennis O'Connell and the daughter of Sarah and Joseph Galloway, Mrs. O'Connell was an active, inquisitive, and caring person. She retired from the Savannah River Plant, where she worked as a federal employee in the payroll department for forty years, attaining the rank of federal coordinator. She was an active member of the community and cared for her husband through a prolonged illness. In her later years, she enjoyed participating in a number of community organizations. She was especially fond of her friends in Town and Country. Mrs. O'Connell was a great traveler and someone who sought continually to grow in her understanding and appreciation of others.
She is survived by her two sons, Dennis J. O'Connell, Aiken, and Sean P. O'Connell, New Haven, Conn.
