Charlotte, NC - John Crafton Timmerman, III (Crafton), 46, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
Crafton was the beloved son of John and Anna Timmerman. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by two sisters: Leslie Alderman, Chapin and Michele (David) Goforth, Johnston, two nephews: Eliot Foster and Jake Goforth and three nieces: Georgia Foster, Micah Goforth and Mary Ashlyn Goforth.
Crafton was an Executive Consultant-Program and Project Manager and had done consultant work for Charles Swabb and Williams Sonoma in San Francisco for the city of Philadelphia Transit and for the Wachovia Complex in Charlotte.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Harmony United Methodist Church cemetery, 98 Bouknight Rd, Johnston, SC at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am in the church sanctuary.
The family be at the home of John and Anna Timmerman, 334 Woodridge Road, Edgefield, SC 29824.

Mrs. Nell Phillips Johnson, 94
GREENVILLE - The funeral for Mrs. Nell Phillips Johnson of Homewood Residence in Greenville, formerly of Chester, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2310 Augusta Road, Greenville. The Rev. Steve Vance and the Rev. Curtis Marshall will officiate and burial will follow in Frederick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney.
Mrs. Johnson, 94, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. She was a daughter of James B. and Sallie M. Phillips of Gaffney.
Survivors include a son, Steve Johnson and his wife, Nancy, of Greenville; and three granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. R.O. Johnson of Chester.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. tonight, Friday, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville.
Memorials can be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church Sharing Our Future Building Campaign or to the charity of one's choice.

Harris E. Medlock Sr.
Mr. Harris E. Medlock Sr., 84, husband of Cordelia D. Medlock, of W. Martintown Road in North Augusta, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28, at 3 p.m. in the Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church, with the Revs. Louis Anderson and Eric Burton officiating. Burial was in Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Medlock was a native of Edgefield County, having made North Augusta his home. He was a lifelong member of Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and a deacon. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion Post #71 and had retired from Babcock and Wilcox as a machinist.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Harris E. Medlock Jr. (Robin W.) of Augusta, Ga.; one granddaughter, Amy Medlock-Greene (Joe); two great-grandchildren, J.P. Greene and Ian Greene, all of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church General Fund, 1850 W. Martintown Road, North Augusta, SC 29860.

Mary Lou Huneycutt Joplin
CHESTERFIELD — Mary Lou Huneycutt Joplin, 79, died March 10, 2012.
Funeral services were held March 13, 2012, at Bethel United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family held visitation March 12, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mrs. Joplin was born April 25, 1932, in Chesterfield. A daughter of the late Walter Percy and Mildred Etta Gooden Crowley. She was a retired employee of Sacony. Mary Lou was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and a former member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was also preceded in death by her first husband William P. Huneycutt; a daughter, Linda Donahue; a sister, Thalia Parks; and her three brothers, Duland, Newsom, and Delbert Crowley.
Surviving are one son, William R. (Sherry) Huneycutt of Chesterfield; two daughters, Etta Kay (Rick) Williams of Columbia, and Gail Hancock of Cheraw; one sister Shirley Harrington of Morven, N.C.; also seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Shelia S. Kral, wife of Glen Kral, of Crest Road in Edgefield, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
No services will be held.

Marie Annette Courtney
PAGELAND — Marie Annette Courtney, 49, died March 10, 2012.
Visitation was held March 13, at the home of Chris and Cathy Knight in Pageland, S.C. Services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Courtney was born April 3, 1962, in Monroe N.C., a daughter of the late Joe Donald Courtney Jr. and Billie Mullis Courtney. She was a graduate of Central High School and a retired professional photographer. Marie enjoyed taking pictures and making crafts.
In addition to her parents, Marie was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Courtney.
Surviving are her husband Christopher W. “Chris” Rape of the home; son Colby Courtney of Pageland; brother Gary (Shelia) Courtney of Powder Springs, Ga.; sister Cathy (Chris) Knight also of Pageland.

Albert Lewis "Bubba" Harris
Mr. Albert Lewis "Bubba" Harris, 66, of Fairway Drive in Edgefield, husband of Jessica Eggers Harris, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
Mr. Harris was born in Edgefield and was a member of Edgefield United Methodist Church. He was retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas. He was a past master of the Concordia Lodge #50 and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Robert L. Lewis Jr., Columbia; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Maria Flores Harris, Boone, N.C.; four grandchildren, Liam Hoback, Erin Hoback, Ryan Hoback and Robert L. Lewis III; a brother, George A. Harris Jr., Lexington; two sisters, Addie Lou Russell, Edgefield, and Lula Mae Lessard, Lincolnton, Ga.
Memorial may be made to the Watson Memorial Fund for Junior Golf, 211 Jones St., Edgefield, SC 29824.
Vivian Quick Cribb
CHERAW — Vivian Quick Cribb, 89, died March 9, 2012.
A graveside service was held March 11, at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family held visitation prior to the service at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cribb was born March 5, 1923, in Marlboro County. A daughter of the late Ervin and Maude Walters Quick. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries. Mrs. Cribb was a lifelong member of Westside Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Vivian was also preceded in death by her husband James Cyrus Cribb; two brothers, Rev. W.D. Quick and Randolph Quick; seven sisters, Daisy Eudy, Lina Bacot, Venus Graham, Julia B. White, Lillian Lee Stubbs, Rosa Lide, and Ethel James; and by her stepmother, Evie Quick.
Surviving are three sons, James (Marguerite) Cribb of Southport, N.C., Vann (Sandi) Cribb of Easley, S.C., and John Cribb of Cheraw; one daughter, Patricia C. Rivers of Cheraw; two sisters, Eunice Toler Bryant of Charleston, and Veda McDevitt of Manchester, Texas; also 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Addie Lou Russell
Mrs. Addie Lou Harris Russell, 77, of Thurmond St., wife of the late Leon W. Russell, died Saturday 3-28-09 at M.C.G.
Graveside Services were held Tuesday, March 31, at 3 p.m. at Eastview cemetery.
Mrs. Russell was born in Edgefield and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. She was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills with 33 years service.
Survivors include 3 Daughters- Lynette (Donnie) Seigler, Aiken, Gloria (Steve) Edmunds, McCormick, and Rosie (Tom) Johnson, Edgefield, 1 Sister- Lula Mae (Bill) Lessard, Lincolnton, 1 Brother- George A. (Peggy) Harris, Lexington, 5 Grandchildren- Tanya, Buddy, Lisa, Stephanie, and Scooter, 6 Great-Grandchildren and a special pet- Lucy.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 P.M. prior to the service on Tuesday at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
Ann Ocepek Reynolds
Mrs. Ann Ocepek Reynolds, 97, of McCormick, wife of the late Eddie Reynolds, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in Edgefield.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at Elmwood cemetery in Hartshorne, Okla.
Mrs. Reynolds was born in Jenny Lind, Ark. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Rhone (Priscilla) Lahr, McCormick, and Nile (Betty) Lahr, Findley, Ohio; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Clarence L. Chambers, 56
CHESTER - The funeral for Mr. Clarence L. Chambers of 102 Branch St. will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at King's Funeral Home. Brother James Rouse will deliver the discourse and burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Chambers, 56, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
born in Cleveland County, N.C., on July 21, 1948, he was a son of the late Arthur C. Chambers and Mary Lowe Chambers. A member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, where he served as a former steward and trustee of the church, Mr. Chambers was a 1967 graduate of Finley High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was formerly employed with Weyerhaeuser Company of Chester.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie L. Pendergrass Chambers; a son, Dexter Pendergrass and his wife, Crystal, of Chester; three daughters, Michelle C. Davis and her husband, Cornell, of Chester, Sheana C. Jackson and her husband, Brandon, of Greenville and Ebony C. Chambers of the home; a brother, Walter James Chambers and his wife, Sheryl, of Great Falls; three sisters, Gladys C. Paulding, Janet L. Chambers and Kathy D. Chambers, all of Chester; and eight grandchildren.
He was predeceased by five brothers and one sister.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 102 Branch St., Chester.
Viewing will be today, Friday, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at King's Funeral Home, 135 cemetery St., Chester.

Mrs. Bobbie Alberta Bailey 'Ducky' Polcari, 73
COLUMBIA - Graveside services for Mrs. Bobbie Alberta Bailey "Ducky" Polcari were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 in Elmwood cemetery and Gardens.
Mrs. Polcari, 73, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004.
born in Winston-Salem, N.C. and raised in Lockhart, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Buena Bailey. A graduate of Lockhart School, Mrs. Polcari was employed with Southern Bell in Spartanburg and spent three years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. After leaving the Army, Mrs. Polcari took beauty and secretarial training and worked for the IRS. She later owned and operated a children's nursery called Ducky's and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ralph Angelo Polcari; a son, Terrence Ralph Polcari and his wife, Renee, of Bluffton; a daughter, Camilla Bobbie Polcari of the home; three grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Jo Thomas of Chester.
Memorials may be made to Lockhart United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Louise Sibert Talbert, of Edgefield, wife of Albert Talbert, died at Hospice House of the Piedmont, on Saturday, March 7, 2009.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 11, at noon at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Plum Branch, with the pastor, Rev. Melvin Gordon officiating. Assisting was the Rev. J.C. Williams.
She was born in McCormick on Aug. 18, 1949, a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Essie Bell Talbert Sibert. She was a graduate of Mims High School and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Plum Branch. She was a retired employee of McCormick County School District.
In addition to her husband, survivors are three sons, Feltonnous (Cherae) Talbert, McCormick, Lavictor (Shara) Talbert, Indian Trail, N.C., and Altavious Talbert, Edgefield; a sister, Minerva Martin, Charlotte, N.C.; five brothers, Robert lee Sibert Jr., Ben Otis Sibert, James Sibert, and Lawrence Sibert, all of McCormick, and Ernest Sibert, Groveland, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
