Mr. Jimmie Mance, 54, of Lakeview Drive in Johnston, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Calvin Robinson officiating. Burial was in Science Hill cemetery.
Mr. Mance, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Science Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lucretia Key Mance; three daughters, Shemekia Morton and Anissa Parker, Graniteville; Tara Collier, Atlanta, Ga.; five sisters, Rosetta Davis, Augusta, Ga., Marie (George) Glanton, Edgefield, Mary L. Ryans, Aiken, Mozella Colliers, Augusta, Ga., and Amanda Mance, Silver Springs, Md.; three brothers, Johnnie (Beverly) Mance, Monroe, La., Raiford Mance and Alexander Mance, Trenton; a goddaughter, Shaunte Holmes, Trenton; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

Gladys Hall Turner
Mrs. Gladys Hall Turner, 82, of Edgefield, wife of the late Randolph Turner, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at Edgefield County Hospital.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Turner was a native of Edgefield County and was retired from Riegel Company with 48 years of service. She was a member of Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Randolph (Patricia) Turner, Edgefield; four daughters, Rhonda (Michael) Blackmon, Saluda, Karen (Jackie) Cockrell, Edgefield, Celia (Charles) Gardner, Saluda, Melody (Tommy) Reynolds, Edgefield; a sister, Mescal Dicks, Williston; 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Irene Stafford Young
Mrs. Irene Stafford Young, 85, of Saluda, formerly of Edgefield, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at her home.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Willow Spring Baptist Church in Edgefield. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Young was born in Saluda County and was the daughter of the late Eddie and Amanda Dean Stafford. She was a member of Willow Spring Baptist Church and the Young Ladies of Honor of Edgefield.
She is survived by two sons, Theodore Young, Edgefield, and Robert Young, Saluda; two daughters, Johnnie Mae Hill and Dorothy Padgett, both of Saluda; a sister, Mary Ann Miles, Saluda; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Johnnie Mae Hill, 124 Bitter Sweet Drive in Chappells.

Mr. Paul Clark Young, 72, of Clarks Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. Burial was in Southlawn cemetery with military rites accorded by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.

Mrs. Minnie E. Mitchell McKie, 97, of North Augusta, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at NHC of North Augusta.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Louis T. Coley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. McKie, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ross died Wednesday, Nov. 17, at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
She is survived by a son, Freddie D. Mr. Gaston, 77, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at his residence.
A native of Chester County, he was a son of the late John Holmes Gaston and Essie Clark. Mr. Gaston was educated in Chester County schools and attended Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. He was retired from Springs Industries.

Mr. Jesse Ambrose Wages, 78
Mr. Jesse Ambrose Wages, 78, of 871 J.A. Cochran Bypass died peacefully at his home on March 2, 2010. He was the widower of Johnnie Mae Wilson Wages.
Mr. Wages was born in Chester on April 21, 1931, a son of the late Robert D. and Jessie Cameron Wages. He retired from Borden's Milk Plant in Chester and proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.

Mr. G. Walker Byrd, 74, of Laurens, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at Edgefield County Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m., at Gilgal Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Byrd was born in Edgefield County and was a member of Gilgal Baptist Church. He was the retired owner of Charganne Beauty School in Greenwood.
Survivors include a special friend, Rebecca A. Crow, Laurens; two aunts, Dorcas Griffis and Felicia Sands; several cousins; and many friends.
