born in Albion, New York, a daughter of Georgia Evans Pritchard and the late Walter Pritchard, Mrs. Barron was a graduate of the schools of New York and was formerly employed with Tall Pines Child Care as a Certified Child Care Assisant in Lantana, Florida.
In addition to her mother, Mrs.Barron is survived by one son, Brady Barron and one daughter Micala Barron both of Great Falls, SC; two sisters, Mollee Pritchard and her husband Brett of Sandy Run, SC and Sonja Pritchard of Blackstock, SC; one brother, Evan Pritchard of West Palm Beach, FL; her loving ex-husband, Pedro Barron of Austin, TX and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Pedrolynn Barron.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 16, 2010 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church of Great Falls, SC.

She was born August 17, 1994 in Lancaster a daughter of Ralph Reginald Fowler, Jr and Sherry (Roof) Fowler. Catherine formerly attended Great Falls Schools and attended Lewisville Schools since sixth grade. She would have been a Junior at Lewisville High School this fall. She played soft ball and was a varsity cheerleader. She was also a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was active in the Team 412 Youth Group.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Olivia Fowler of Richburg. Paternal Grandmother, Nadine Fowler of Great Falls, Maternal grandmother, Cathy Stovall and her fiancé’ Malcolm Cameron of Chester County. Maternal Grand father. James “Cooter” Roof of Fort Mill, SC. The daughter of John L. Williams and the late Jeanette Padgett Williams, she was born May 29, 1956 in Columbia, SC. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and University of South Carolina. She was formerly employed as a sales representative with Crown Memorial Park.
In addition to her father and stepmother, John L. and Fannie Williams of Great Falls, she is survived by one son, Nick A. Cooper and his wife, Jennifer of Lexington, SC; two sisters, Debbie Jones and her husband, Charles of Isle of Palms, SC and Robin Tillery and her husband, Randy of Rock Hill, SC; one brother Robert Williams of Blythewood, SC; one step sister, Elaine Belk and her husband, Bill of Mooresville, NC; two step brothers, Ron Starnes of Monroe, NC and Steve Starnes and his wife, Doris of Lancaster, SC; one granddaughter, Alexandra Grace Cooper of Lexington, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

GREAT FALLS: Miss Syble Eileen Baker, 78, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at her residence. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, Great Falls with Reverend Greg Batchelor and Reverend Ted Baker officiating. Interment will be held in Greenlawn cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, July 5, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dantzler- Baker Funeral Home.
Miss Baker was born in Great Falls, SC on February 29, 1932 a daughter of the late Edward Ralph Baker and Lida Vanlandingham Baker. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School where she was the first recipient of the Women's trophies for basketball's most valuable player and leading scorer. Miss Baker was retired from Duke Power as an administrative assistant and was formerly employed with Kirkpatrick Ford Dealership and Republic Federal Credit Union. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church where she was former Treasurer and a member of the Fidelis Willing Workers Sunday School Class, the WMU, Mission Friends, assistant hostess and numerous other organizations within the church. Miss Baker was also a member of the Great Falls Chapter of the Eastern Star # 211, Great Falls Garden Club, Serendipity and Dames of the Catawba which is a local chapter of the Red Hat Society of which she was Woman of the Year.
She is survived by two brothers, Clarence Baker and his wife Frances of Danville, VA and Edward Ralph Baker, Jr.and his wife Minnie of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Jackie B. Mercier of Florence, SC; seven godchildren, Julie, Savannah, Colby and Olivia Phillips all of Irmo, SC, Jada Suthard of Great Falls, SC and Jessica and Emma Suthard of Winnsboro, SC, a special friend Jane Gates Suthard of Winnsboro, SC and several nieces and nephews. Miss Baker was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Varnadore and Willie B. Rollins and a brother Thomas Marion Baker.

born September 22, 1914 in Lando, SC, she was a daughter of the late James L. and Harriet Pate Gibson and the widow of Lemuel J. Price. Mrs. Price attended the Great Falls schools and was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church and a former member of the Second Baptist Church of Great Falls where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Girls in Action Leader. She retired from J.P. Stevens Company where she worked as a cloth inspector. She was lovingly known to her grandchildren as "Cookie Maw-Maw".
She is survived by two sons, Randolph Price of Charlotte, NC and James L. Price and his wife, Sandy of Waxhaw, NC; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a niece, Georgianna Martin of Alexis, NC; and a special friend, Beulah Wright of Great Falls.

born February 11, 1973, he was a son of Herbert P. Pettit, Jr. and Linda Grant Pettit. He attended Great Falls High School and was a member of Fort Lawn Baptist Church. He was formerly employed as a truck driver with Werner Trucking Co. and Carolina Cargo Trucking Co.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Trever Newland of Great Falls and was preceded in death by two brothers, Bryan Kevin Pettit and Russell Preston Pettit.

born June 14, 1926 in Great Falls, she was a daughter of the late David P. Baker and Ruby Croxton Baker. She was the widow of Floyd L. Roberts. She attended the schools of Great Falls. She retired with J.P. Stevens after 38 years of service as a weaver. Mrs. Roberts was a dedicated member of Great Falls Church of God for over 50 years. She was a member and secretary of the Senior Adult Sunday School class and was active and faithful to the Ladies Ministry Group. She helped graciously with any fundraiser that was needed.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas C. Roberts and wife, Janice of Huntersville, NC and David Roberts and wife, Sandra of Evans, GA; Phillip A. Roberts and his companion, Faye Ashley of Lancaster, SC; one daughter, Marlene R. Hinson and husband, Jimmy of Lancaster, SC; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Howard P. Baker of Long Island, NY and Bobby Baker of Phoenix City, AL; and a special friend Stewart Jessie of Fort Lawn. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Perry, and Ed Baker.

born January 20, 1918 in Union Co., NC, he was a son of the late Henry Broom and Mae Garland Broom. He was a graduate of Rowan County, NC schools and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Broom retired from Cooper Furniture Company as a salesman. He was also an appliance repairman for more than 30 years and continued to use his repair skills as a ministry to those he could help. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Great Falls where he served as a Sunday School teacher. He was also a former member of Great Falls Town Council for 28 years.
Mr. Broom is survived by his wife, Ann C. Broom; two sons, John H. Broom and his wife, Betty and Mike W. Broom and his wife, Chris both of Great Falls; one daughter, Laura Karas and her husband, Jim of Thomasville, GA; a special daughter, Kelly Shepherd and her husband, Bill of Great Falls; 10 grandchildren, Kellyn, Lindsey, Karri, John, Clint, David, Richie, Ben, Billy, Josh, and; four great grandchildren, Hannah, Ashlynn, Chloe, and Hunter; and one sister, Helen Cole of Camden, SC.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at First Baptist Church of Great Falls and other times at the home of Johnny and Betty Broom.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, SC with the Rev. Eric Winstead officiating.
A native of Rock Hill, SC, she was born October 27, 1921, a daughter of the late John McDuffie Garrison and Lula Ferguson Garrison. She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and attended Winthrop College. During her lifetime, Mrs. Williams was employed by Sears and Roebuck, Peoples National Bank, White Printing Co., and retired from S.C. Department of Wildlife. She was a member of Neely's Creek ARP Church.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Nathaniel "Nat" Bratton Williams; one son, Jerry Williams and his wife, Eve; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Joe W. Garrison and his wife, Doris and one sister, Jean Garrison Watts. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John M. "Jack" Garrison and Harry F. "Monk" Garrison.

Mrs. Grimes was a member of the Great Falls High School class of 1962 and an honors graduate of the University of South Carolina. She worked as a teacher for more than 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Carlton Dean Grimes; her children, Laura Broome Harris of Alpharetta, GA., Michael Austin Broome of York, SC, and Amanda Broome Deal of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Anne Catherine Harris and Drew Harris of Alpharetta, GA and Abigail Deal of Winston-Salem, NC. born August 4, 1920 in Great Falls, Mrs. Minors was the daughter of the late Thomas Clyde Couick and Ersel Hancock Couick. She attended the schools of Great Falls and was retired owner and operator of Lucille’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of Mt. Dearborn United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, David Minors and wife Lorene and one daughter, Debbie Greenleaf and husband Dana all of Great Falls; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Lex Minors; one son, Wayne Minors and a granddaughter, Jennifer Greenleaf.

She graduated with honors from Great Falls High School where she was 2008 Homecoming Queen and second year recipient of the Clinton Cameron Award. She was a graduate of York Technical College and Myers Park School of Dental Assisting. She was employed with Drs. Ellis, Green & Jenkins in Columbia, SC as a dental assistant. She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Joshua Weir Brantley; one son, Jaxson Weir Brantley; one sister, Taylor Roberts of Great Falls; maternal grandfather, James A. "Stud" Evans, Jr. of Great Falls; maternal grandparents, Keith and Patsy Carnes of Great Falls; paternal grandmother, Mary P. Roberts of Great Falls. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandfather, Roderick P. Roberts.
