Mrs. Gracie Cloninger Walker, 70, of Indian Land, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at her son's home.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at Wolfe Funeral Home. Burial was at Flint Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
born Sept. 9, 1937, in Fort Mill, Mrs. Walker was a daughter of the late John Franklin Cloninger and Annie Bailey Cloninger. She graduated from Fort Mill High School. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband, Lawrence "Buck" Walker; her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Sandra Walker of Pineville, N.C.; her daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Brian Riggs of Rock Hill; her brother, Jonah "Red" Cloninger of Sharon; her sister, Ann Boatwright of York; three grandchildren, Ashley McDonald and her husband Tim, Seth Walker and Kimberleigh Riggs; a great-grandchild, Andi Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Walker.
Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 1420 East 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204.

James Harris
Mr. James Henry Harris, 60, of Charlotte, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at his home.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at Six Mile Creek Presbyterian Church, with pastor Jeff McWatters officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Fort Mill Funeral was in charge of the arrangements.
Colleen Fullerton
Mrs. Colleen McCarthy Fullerton of Fort Mill died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at Sardis Oaks Nursing Center in Charlotte.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by King Funeral Home in Rock Hill at a later date.
Condolences may be sent to the family via the funeral home.
George Wilson
Mr. George Andrew Wilson, of J.W. Wilson Road, Fort Mill, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 7, 2008, at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill.
A Celebration of Life service was held Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Westerly Hills Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roger Brown officiating. Burial followed at Unity cemetery.
A native of Fort Mill, Mr. Wilson was a son of the late John and Sarah Wilson Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to farm and garden. He was a former trustee at Westerly Hills Baptist Church. He loved his family and friends.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Lynn Huggins Wilson; two daughters, Flora W. Edwards of Monroe, N.C., and Whitney B. Bradsher of Seattle, Wash.; a sister and brother-in-law, Minnie Mae and Robert Daniel Wilson of Indian Land; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Alice Wilson, and Olin and Carolyn Wilson, all of Fort Mill; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Lewis A. and Erica Edwards and their three children, Scottie, Joshua and Brooklyn, April D. Edwards and Jennifer L. Edwards and her son, Thomas L Windchester III.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, J.W. Wilson Jr. and Jessie Furman Wilson; and two sisters, Josephine and Annabelle Wilson.
Memorials maybe sent to Wayne Patrick Hospice House, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice and Community Care and Hospice House for their love, care and compassion for their loved one during his time of illness.

Mable Banks
COLUMBIA Lula Mable Banks, 79, of 2451 Forest Drive, formerly of Greenwood, died Sept. 13, 2001, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.
born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late G. Allen and Lula White Banks. She attended Greenwood area schools and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lanham (Lily) Stalnaker of Augusta, Ga.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Troy cemetery by the Rev. Joseph Curtis. Visitation is at the cemetery after the service.
The family is at the home of a niece, Mrs. James E. (Annette) Lawton, 2501 Callison Highway, Greenwood.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 6604, Columbia, S.C. 29260-6604.

Grady Funderburk
GREENWOOD Grady Hall Funderburk, 82, of 210 Evergreen Drive, widower of Agnes Horne Funderburk, died Sept. 13, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital.
born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Walter Evans and Fannie Helms Funderburk. He was a retired funeral director with Harley Funeral Home and was associated with his son at Triangle Construction Co. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of North Side Baptist Church and the Yeldell Sunday School Class.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lamar G. (Yvonne) Nickles of Abbeville; two sons, Dwight E. Funderburk of Greenwood and Marion S. Steve Funderburk of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Evelyn) Hollingsworth of Greenwood; a brother, Roy L. Funderburk of Greenwood; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 Saturday at North Side Baptist Church by Dr. Jeff Lethco. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 1.
Pallbearers are nephews: Neil Hollingsworth, Fred Hollingsworth, Carl Funderburk, Donald Funderburk, Michael Funderburk, Wayne Funderburk and Charles Funderburk.
Honorary escorts are members of Yeldell Sunday School Class of the church, members of the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association and Harley Funeral Home employees.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at Harley Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of a son, Dwight Funderburk, 103 Prestwick Court.

Susan Hester
TROY Susan Jeanne Hester, 54, of 3731 Norman Road, Clarkston, Ga., formerly of Troy, S.C., died Sept. 11, 2001, at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.
born in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of Henry Edward Hester and the late Elizabeth Darnell Hester. She retired from AT&T and was a member of St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church, Stone Mountain, Ga.
Survivors include her father of Troy; three sisters, Sallie Hester Flavin of Vienna, Va., Shelley Hester Grund of Seymour, Wis., and Sandra Hester Reynolds of Lilburn, Ga.
Services will be conducted at 2 Saturday at Buffalo Baptist Church, McCormick, by the Revs. Ryan Eklund and Paul Elliott. Burial is in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville.
The family is at the home of her father, Route 1, Troy.

Fannie Mae Mathis
GREENWOOD Graveside services for Fannie Mae Carroll Mathis, of 108 Posey St., will be conducted at 2:30 Sunday in Oakbrook Memorial Park by the Rev. Clyde Cannon, assisted by the Revs. W.B. Williams and Anthony McCullum.
Visitation is from 6-8 Saturday at the home.
Viewing will be private.

Kenneth William Smith
DESTIN, FL - Memorial Services for Kenneth William Smith, age 62 of Destin, Florida, will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2001, at 6:00 p.m.; Grace Community Church, 8611 Woodlawn Road, Greenwood, South Carolina.
Mr. Smith died of a heart attack while worshiping at Christian International Family Church, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida on Sunday, September 9, 2001.
As the only son of the late Kenneth Lee Smith and Clara Lee Smith, he was born January 8, 1938, in Steubenville, Ohio. He attended college at Murray State University where he was a member of Phi Mu Alpha and Sigma Tau Epsilon. He served as a Captain in the Army Corps of Engineers Reserve in the Ohio National Guard. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after 33 years of service as a Regional Sales Manager. Mr. Smith belonged to the Atlanta Athletic Club, Star Fort Golf Club in Green-wood, and Emerald Bay Golf Club in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
Mr. Smith was committed to his Christian faith and his love for Jesus was evident in all that he did. A devoted father and husband, Ken had a passion for life and for others. He was a member of Grace Community Church serving as a Praise Tea member, Director of the Counseling Department, Director of Intercessory Prayer, Choir member, Sunday School teacher, and developer of Free to be Me Seminars. He was active in the Green-wood community as a member of the National Homebuilders' Association serving as Chairman of the Annual Bass Fishing Tournament.
After moving to Florida in May, 2001, Ken and Anita founded Freedom Ministries International affiliated with the healing house network of Proclaiming His Word Ministries.
His family includes his wife, Anita R. Smith; his son Dr. Scott William Smith and daughter-in-law Catherine Smith of Green-wood, SC; his son Steven Lee Smith and daughter-in-law Angela Smith of Charlotte, NC; his daughter Shari Ann Griffin and husband Bradley Griffin of Atlanta, GA; his son Jonathan McKinley Smith of Greenwood, SC; and seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions may be made to "Fishers of Men" Ministry c/o Grace Community Church, 8611 Woodlawn Road, Greenwood, SC 29649.
Rhonda Elaine Statom
ABBEVILLE - Rhonda Elaine Statom, 33, of 1054 Haigler St., wife of Stanley Statom Sr., died September 10, 2001 at Anderson Area Medical Center. born in Abbeville County, she was a self-employed beautician and a member of Shady Grove A.M.E. Church.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Statom Sr.; a daughter, Staci Statom; two sons, Stanley Statom Jr. and Morgan Statom; her mother, Mary Dawson; a sister D'Andrea Williams; and five brothers, Neil Dawson, William Smith, Bobby Smith, Joe Oglesbee and Jeff Oglesbee; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The home-going service is Saturday, September 15, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at Shady Grove A.M.E. Church. Interment is in the church cemetery. The Rev. R. L. Johnson, Pastor, will officiate.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, September 14, 2001 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Eugene Brownlee Memorial Chapel.
