Mrs. Clara Gaddy Sullivan, age 85, of Fort Mill, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at her home.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Wolfe Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
born in Polkton, N.C., Mrs. Sullivan was a daughter of the late Lacy and Daisy Griffin Gaddy. She was retired from Smith Enterprises and was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers, caring for her pets and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Arizona Sullivan; her son, Wayne Sullivan and his wife, Sondra, of Rock Hill; four daughters, Wanda Williams of Greenville, S.C., Patricia Moss and her husband, Jerry, of Sharon, Judy Summerour of Fort Mill, and Deborah Strickland and her husband, Randy, of Greer, S.C.; one sister, Betty Belk of Monroe, N.C.; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Billy Wayne Plyler, age 69, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17 2012 at Doby's Bridge Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Edgar McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Unity cemetery.
born in Pageland, Mr. Plyler was a son of the late Wilson Vance Plyler and Kate Myers Plyler. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Eli Bailes American Legion Post 43. Mr. Plyler was retired from Terex Utilities in Charlotte and was a member of Doby's Bridge Presbyterian Church. "Paw Paw Bill" was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He taught his children many things and the love he had for his grandchildren was unmatched. They were the sunshine in his life. He will be missed everyday of our lives. We take comfort in knowing he is now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Sue Helms Plyler; three daughters, Stephanie Pittman and her husband, Jeff, Cathy Plyler and Brooke Eudy and her husband, Dennis, all of Fort Mill; two sisters, Linda Baker and her husband, Ray, of Rock Hill and Kathy Kirby and her husband, Dennis, of Fort Mill; and five grandchildren, Alex, Ashleigh, Ashlyn, Zoe and Adie.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Doby's Bridge Presbyterian Church Sanctuary and other times at the home, 228 Coyote Lane, Fort Mill, SC.

Lewis Austin Singleton, age 75, of Highway 19, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at Conway Medical Center.
Mr. Singleton was born in Conway, a son of the late Joe D. and Versa Duncan Singleton. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Sunday School teacher, choir member and served on various committees. Prior to retirement he was employed by Blanton Supply in Loris and Little River. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Singleton.
Surviving are: his wife, Wilma Lonaree Singleton of Conway; one son Dr. Freddie Lynn Singleton and his wife Julie of Jacksonville, FL; one daughter, Jenell Burke and her husband Sonny of Conway; four brothers, Alvin Singleton and his wife Hazel, Winston Singleton and his wife Joann, Dewayne Singleton and his wife Carolyn all of Conway and James Singleton and his wife Pearlida of Columbia; four sisters, Laura Belle Hardee of Conway, Elda Rackley of Myrtle Beach, Bettie Bennett of Galveston, TX and Ninaree Holmes and her husband Leo of North Carolina and eight grandchildren.

James “Jim” L. Drysdale, age 76 of Horne St., died Sunday, February 1, 2004 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
born January 6, 1928 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of Mildred Lane Drysdale and the late Norman Drysdale. Mr. Drysdale had retired from the US Air Force serving in the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict. He also had retired from the US Civil Service. He was a volunteer at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, South Strand Senior Health Center and the Myrtle Beach VA office. Mr. Drysdale was preceded in death by his wife, Olene Bordeaux Drysdale.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Bradford, PA are daughter, Marcy Oliver and husband Skip of Pickerington, OH; step sons, Chester King and wife Joann of Myrtle Beach and Ron King of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Sheena and Josh King of Myrtle Beach and Mark and Justin Murray of OH and step grandchildren, Josh and Jessie Oliver of OH.
Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Ocean Woodscemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Galivants Ferry a daughter of the late Marvin Bishop and Ruby Edwards Hardwick. She was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnson was pre-deceased by 5 brothers: E. James, Fred, Ernest Issaac and M.B. Hardwick; 3 sisters: Sadie H. Collins, Retha H. Ray, and Pauline H. Hamilton; one son: Dale Eugene Johnson. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, William Eugene Johnson of Galivants Ferry; 2 sons: Marvin Johnson and wife: Susan Barnhill Johnson and Pressley Johnson and wife: Joyce Stevens Johnson all of Galivants Ferry; 3 daughter: Irma J. Bridgman of Marion and friend: Legrand White, Ruby D. Tyler and husband: Dale and Peggy J. Cox and husband Billy Ray all of Loris; one daughter-in-law: Gloria Johnson Todd of Galivants Ferry. 15 grandchildren: Scott, Ashley, and Chris Johnson, Jennifer H. Atwood Brandon Martin, age 89, of the Bucksport Community, died Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Loris Community Hospital.
Mr. Martin was born in Conway, a son of the late George Henry and Beatrice Skipper Martin. He was a member of Waccamaw Presbyterian Church and was a retired farmer. Mr. Martin was predeceased by two brothers, Herman Martin and Carl Martin and one sister Maude M. Causey.
Surviving are five nephews, Danny Martin and his wife Judy and Ray Martin all of Charlotte, Harry Causey and his wife Billie Ann of Conway, Rick Causey and his wife Rebecca of Myrtle Beach and Kemp Causey and his wife Brenda of Carolina Shores, NC; five nieces, Carol M. Vargas and her husband Richard of Charleston, Wilma Sellers and her husband Bobby and Sara Richardson all of Conway, Eileen M. Misenhamer and her husband Alex of Marion and Wanda M.
