Born April 16, 1904, in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Fabian Washington. She attended Clarendon County public schools. In her youth, she joined Green Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Alonzo McCray of Queens, N.Y., Centry McCray Jr. of Millersville, Md., and Willie Brown of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three daughters, Roberta Gigger and Dorothy Brown, both of Chicago, Ill., and Elizabeth James of Alcolu; 25 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Felix McCray and Eddie McCray; and two daughters, Violet Hutchison and Deloris Daney. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Green Hill Baptist Church in Alcolu with the Rev. James S. Hudley, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. W.J. Frierson. Limley Moore “Rooster” Dalton Jr., 68, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at his home. Born in Raleigh, N.C., he was a son of the late Limley Moore Dalton Sr. and Juanita Pierson Dalton. He was retired from Ford Motor Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Bourgeois and her husband, Chuck, of Sumter, Lynzette Dalton of Wedgefield and Angela Dalton; a grandson, Wayne Wilkinson of Sumter; three granddaughters, Melody Flowers, Shellie Arnold and Katherine Bourgeois; and two great-grandchildren, Tristan Arnold and Alexus Wilkinson. Harry Lee Gaymon Jr., 40, husband of Bernardette E. Gaymon, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 13, 1961, in Sumter County, he was a son of Mattie G. Jones and the late Harry Lee Gaymon Sr. and a stepson of Roy Jones. He attended Sumter County public schools and was a 1979 graduate of Sumter High School. In his youth, he joined Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a member until the time of his death. He was employed by Interlake until his health failed. Survivors besides his wife of Baltimore, Md., and his mother and stepfather include a son, Anthony Lee Gaymon of Baltimore; a daughter, TaKelia N. Potts of Sumter; two brothers, Isiah Copeland of St. Charles and George N. Copeland of Sumter; four sisters, Henretta G. Gadson of Wedgefield, Bertha G. Benbow of Sumter, Gloria G. Greene of the home and Gloria Fairley of Jacksonville, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Maggie Copeland of Sumter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Rosalyn TaliaFerro of Baltimore; and a special friend, Geneva McDaniel of Sumter.
