Earl Cousar Sr.

CATAWBA - Mr. Earl "Buddy" Cousar Sr., 66, of 5498 Howze Road died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Mount Zion AME Zion Church No. 1, with the Rev. Alan Stewart officiating and Brother James A. Hayes and the Rev. Dr. Marian Crawford assisting. Dr. Norman Hickland will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Chester County, Mr. Cousar was a son of the late Nathan Cousar and Emily Davis Cousar. He was a member of Mount Zion AME Zion Church and a former member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Fort Lawn. He was employed by Johnson Motor Lines and Crowder Construction in Charlotte until retirement. He attended Chester County public schools.

Surviving are his wife, Jessie M. Crosby Cousar; six sons, Earl Cousar Jr. of Lancaster, David L. Cousar and Jay G. Cousar, both of the home, Calvin K. Cousar of Rock Hill, James F. Cousar of Darmstadt, Germany, and Christopher T. Cousar of Fort Mill; his daughter, Jamie M. Cousar of the home; his brother, William Cousar of Chester; two sisters, Etta Brown of Catawba and Amelia Hicklin of Charlotte; and 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 7:30 tonight at Mount Zion AME Zion Church No. 1, 1626 Canal Road, Catawba.

The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. Thursday.

King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester, is in charge.

George Davis

PINEVILLE, N.C. - Mr. George Homer Davis, 90, of 13714 Lancaster Highway died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at his home.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Flint Hill Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Lee Davis officiating.

A native of Gaston County, N.C., Mr. Davis was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lemuel Davis. He was the widower of Lillian Bridges Davis. He was a retired machinist and mechanic, who enjoyed woodworking and handy work for friends and neighbors.

Surviving are three sons, Kenneth C. Davis of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., Robert L. Davis of Charlotte and Allen D. Davis of Indian Land; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Wolfe Funeral Home is in charge.

Noisey Feaster

MCCONNELLS - Mr. Noisey Feaster, 65, of 162 Bent Pine Drive died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Lowrys, with the Rev. Bobby Featherstone officiating and the Rev. George Lowery assisting. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

A native of Chester County, Mr. Feaster was a son of the late Willie Robinson Feaster and Sylvia Chisholm Feaster. He was the widower of Mazzie "Leady" Boulware Feaster. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church and its hymn choir. He was a former member of Christian Home Baptist Church. He was employed at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, was retired from Winthrop University as a custodian and attended Chester County public schools.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Lee "Butch" Chisholm of Gastonia, N.C., and Noisey Bernard Feaster of Charlotte; three daughters, Dorothy McCleave, Edna Chisholm and Brenda Chisholm-Evans, all of Charlotte; three brothers, Oscar Feaster and Andrew Feaster, both of Rock Hill, and Frazier Feaster of McConnells; nine sisters, Mary Bruce of Virginia, Willie Belle Lloyd of Charlotte, Bertha Feaster of Washington, Bernice Feaster, Blanche Young and Christine Sapp, all of Rock Hill, Erma Rainey and Minnie Campbell, both of Chester, and Mary Jane Stevens of Detroit; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.

The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. Friday.

The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at King's Funeral Home.

Lewis Hall

WASHINGTON - Mr. Lewis C. Hall, 82, formerly of Rock Hill, died Friday, April 30, 1999, at Howard University Hospital.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Stewart Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Md.

Surviving are three sons, John T. Chisolm of Rock Hill, Charles R. Hall of Washington and Joseph Gant of Fort Worth, Texas; six daughters, Lonora Hall, Marilyn Staton, Cythenia Alexander and Maryce Hall, all of Washington, Hazeline Ashton of Oxon Hill, Md., and Michelle Barber of Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters, Birdie Locke of Washington and Pearline Henderson, Evelyn Hall and Inez Hemphill, all of Rock Hill; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at noon Friday at Stewart Funeral Home, 4001 Benning Road NE, Washington, DC.

Clyde Johnson

LANCASTER - Mr. Clyde Johnson, 85, of 3155 Johnson Road died Monday, May 3, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. today at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Revs. Kenneth Wren, Frank Barwig and Alfred Evans officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Kershaw County, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Roy Johnson and Millie Phillips Johnson. He was the widower of Georgie Sowell Johnson. He was a retired supervisor for Springs Industries' Lancaster plant. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher, pulpit committee member and a deacon.

Surviving are his daughter, Evelyn Johnson Curtis of Lancaster; three brothers, Rubin Johnson of Mount Croghan, Hubert Johnson of Lancaster and Junior Johnson of Bennettsville; five sisters, Ethel Lee Catledge of Mount Pisgah, Evelyn Williams of Lancaster, Alice Catoe of Heath Springs, Thelma Oliver of Jefferson and Ruth Mathis of Chester; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church building fund, 3052 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Nancy Kincaid

GASTONIA, N.C. - Miss Nancy Sue Kincaid, 74, of 406 Modena St. died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joseph A. McCombs officiating. Burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery.

A native of Gastonia, Miss Kincaid was a daughter of the late Frank Kincaid and Artie Edwards Kincaid. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four brothers, Joe M. Kincaid, Larry Zane Kincaid and Bruce R. Kincaid, all of Gastonia, and William L. Kincaid of Charlotte; and three sisters, Evelyn K. Gunter of LaGrange, Ga., Barbara K. Brookshire of Rock Hill and Ann K. York of Gastonia.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Ward Funeral Home.

Estelle Miles

LANCASTER - Mrs. Estelle Small Miles, 81, of Lancaster Convalescent Center died Monday, May 3, 1999, at the nursing center.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Curtis Cameron officiating.

A native of Kershaw, Mrs. Miles was a daughter of the late George Small and Janie Small. She was the widow of Bob "Red" Miles. She was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, "Howard" Benjamin Clyde Stevens and Robert Franklin Miles, both of Lancaster; two daughters, Jean Steven Kennington of Lancaster and Nancy Stevens Blackmon of Heath Springs; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Hartley Funeral Home is in charge.

Linda Reel

COLUMBIA - Miss Linda Susan Reel, 38, of 4080 S.C. Highway 324 in Rock Hill and a resident of the Midland Center in Columbia died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be be 2 p.m. Friday at Bass Funeral Home in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Nancy Ennis and Miriam Mick officiating.

Surviving are her parents, James R. and Peggy Jones Reel; her brother, Robert Lee Reel of Athens, Ga.; and her sister, Delia Anne Reel of Rock Hill,

The family will receive friends at Bass Funeral Home after the service and at other times at home.

Memorials may be made to the Midland Center Family Counsel, 8301 Farrow Road, Columbia, SC 29203.

Mary Smith

CARLISLE - Mrs. Mary A. Williams Smith, 87, of 1815 Davis Smith Drive died Monday, May, 3, 1999, at Tanglewood Heathcare in Ridgeway.

Arrangements will be announced by King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.

Joe White Jr.

ABBEVILLE - Mr. Joe Luke White Jr., 44, of 241 Colony East died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Main Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Pickens officiating. Burial will be at Long Cane Cemetery.

A native of Augusta, Ga., he was a son of Carolyn Rice White of Abbeville and the late Joe Luke White Sr. He graduated from Abbeville High School and attended Erskine College. He was a former member of the S.C. Highway Patrol, was employed with Prince Motor Co. and most recently was employed with George Ballentine Motors in Abbeville.

He earned many awards from Ford Motor Co., among them the 300/500 Club Distinguished Salesman Award. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Outreach Sunday school class, current finance chairman, member and former chairman of the administrative council, member and former chairman of the board of trustees, youth counselor, former assistant treasurer and received the special mission recognition award.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Dana Prince White; two daughters, Anna Camak White and JoBeth Rice White, both of the home; his brother, Edwin A. White of Abbeville; and two sisters, Karen W. Miner of Fort Mill and Ann W. Kohler of St. Petersburg, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Harris Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

The body will placed in the church at 3 p.m. Thursday.
