Willie Mae Carter

LANCASTER - Mrs. Willie Mae Hunter Carter, 86, of 3945 Major Evans Road died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at White Oak Manor.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Monday at Camp Creek United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Kevin Cooley and Ashley Brunson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Carter attended Lancaster County schools. She was a member of Camp Creek United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Methodist Women. She was formerly employed with J.P. Stevens Company and was co-owner of Carter's Monument Company. Mrs. Carter was also a member of the order of Woodman of the World.

Surviving are her son, William Tom Carter of Lancaster; her sister, Doris Featherstone of Aiken; her brother, Wendell Hunter of Great Falls; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Camp Creek United Methodist Church, 4721 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720 or The American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home and at other times at the home, 3945 Major Evans Road.

Stephanie Culp

FORT MILL - Stephanie Nicole Culp, the infant daughter of Jonathon Wayne and Jaclyn Suzanne Collins Culp of 1492 Hensley Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The funeral was 11 a.m. yesterday at Catawba Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tommy Huddleston officiating. Burial was at Grandview Memorial Park.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her twin sister, Alisha Michelle Culp of the home; her sister, Jessica Culp of York; her brother, Jonathon Christian Culp of the home; her paternal grandparents, Johnsie Robison and Joseph Culp of Rock Hill; her maternal grandparents, Jerry and Cecilia Collins of Fort Mill; and her paternal great-grandmother, Pansy Ratterree of Rock Hill.

Geneva Crawford

FLORENCE - Mrs. Geneva Edwards Crawford, formerly of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1998, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Foundation AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Daran Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Crawford was a native of York County. She attended the public schools of York County. She was a member of Foundation AME Zion Church, where she sang in the Hymn Choir and was a member of the Missionary Board for many years. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens club and served on the Stewardess Board No. 1.

Surviving are her daughter, Alberta Coleman of Hawthorne, Calif., two sons, Charles Crawford of District Heights, Md., and Roosevelt Crawford of Tabor City, N.C.; three sisters, Alee Hardin of Rock Hill, Viola Witherspoon of Flushing, N.Y., and Dora Wallace of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The body can be viewed from 5 till 7 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 1205 Green St. Extension, Rock Hill.

Lucille Lowe

CRAMERTON, N.C. - Lucille Wolfe Lowe, 90, of 314 Lake Road, formerly of Fort Mill, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at the Brian Center in Monroe, N.C.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cramer Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Hal Schwantes and Laura Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.

Mrs. Lowe was a homemaker and a member of Cramer Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Rita Cline of Monroe, N.C.; her son, Richard E. Lowe of Charlotte; two sisters, Margaret Faulkenberry of Greensboro, N.C., and Pearl Ruth Booth of Gastonia, N.C.; her brother, W.B. Wolfe of Gastonia, N.C.; six grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

There will be a visitation from 7 to 9 tonight at McLean and Son Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Cramer Memorial United Methodist Church, 154 North Main St., Cramerton, NC 28032 or to the Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 29110.

Kathleen McDaniels

CHESTER - The funeral for Mrs. Kathleen Walton McDaniels, 73, of 109 Stewart St., who died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at Chester County Nursing Center will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Sandy River Baptist Church.

The Rev. Keith Taylor will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Charlie Stringfellow, evangelist Tony Young and eulogist Robert L. McClurkin. Internment will follow at the church cemetery.

Mrs. McDaniels was a Chester County native and attended Finley Senior High School. She was retired from the Springs Eureka plant after 19 years. She was a member of Sandy River Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Willie McDaniels; two sons, Marion McDaniels of Philadelphia and Marvin McDaniels of Germany; her stepson, Willie Kirkpatrick of the home; two daughters, Marie McDaniels of Philadelphia and Mary Ann McDaniels of Charlotte; two brothers, David "Bosie" Carter of Washington, D.C., and Wardell Springs of Chester; her sister, Janie Walton Gore of Chester; and five grandchildren.

The body will lie in state from 3 p.m. Tuesday until the service.

The family will receive friends at the home at 109 Stewart St. and other times at Gore's Funeral Home in Chester.

Ernestine Flowers

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Ernestine T. Flowers, 75, of 1521 Greenwood Lane died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998, at her home.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.

William Huey

LANCASTER - Mr. William David Huey, 91, of 462 Rocky River Road died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. today at Unity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Guy H. Smith officiating. Burial with Masonic rites by the Camp Creek Masonic Lodge No. 317 will be at the church cemetery.

Born in Union County, N.C., Mr. Huey was a retired construction supervisor for Springs Industries, a member and past Master of Camp Creek Masonic Lodge No. 317 and a lifelong member and Elder Emeritus of Unity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder, a deacon and a choir member.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Helms Huey; his son, H. Joe Huey of Lancaster; his daughter, Gladys H. Cox of Lancaster; his sister, Margaret Simpson of Waxhaw, N.C.; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Unity ARP Church, 3494 Unity Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Mahaffey Funeral Home is in charge.

Bessie G. Knight

PAGELAND - Mrs. Bessie G. Knight, 68, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sutton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

A native of Chesterfield County, Mrs. Knight was a homemaker. She was the widow of Joe Ben Knight.

Surviving are three sons, Darryl Knight and Joe Knight Jr., both of Pageland, and Eddie Knight of Lancaster; three daughters, Brenda Knight of Rock Hill, Sara Lee Hutchinson of Fort Mill and Judy McConnell of Columbia; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Knight and Helen Shaw, both of Pageland, and Martha Garrison of Lancaster; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Sutton Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Jadon Plyler, 521 Evans Mill Road.

CRAMERTON, N.C. - Mrs. Lucille Wolfe Lowe, 90, of 314 Lake Road died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at the Brian Center in Monroe, N.C.
