John Faulkenberry

CAMDEN - Mr. John Edward "Bud" Faulkenberry, 63, of 2320 Haile St. died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Cauthen Funeral Home in Kershaw, with the Revs. Jimmy Atkerson, Hugh McKinney and Thomas Faulkenberry officiating. Burial will be at the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mr. Faulkenberry was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was retired from the Air Force and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are two sons, James Allen Faulkenberry and Dennis Faulkenberry, both of Camden; his mother, Maggie Catoe Faulkenberry of Kershaw; four sisters, Mary Stroud of Liberty Hill, Kathleen Hunter of Camden, Betty Robertson of Kershaw and Pauline Williams of Columbia; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Maggie Faulkenberry, 206 Welsh St., Kershaw.

Memorial may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Linda Lawson

FORT LAWN - Mrs. Linda Price Lawson, 59, of 5838 Willowbrook St. died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church, with the Revs. Michael Price and John Mullis officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Lawson was the owner/operator of Korner Kitchen Restaurant. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and attended Great Falls schools. She was the widow of Ted H. Lawson.

Surviving are two daughters, Gwen Pate of Fort Lawn and Karen Lawson of Great Falls; two brothers, Kenneth Price of Lancaster and Donnie Price of Fort Lawn; her grandchild; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home in Great Falls.

Memorials may be made to the Oncology Recreation Department, Duke University Medical Center, P.O. Box 3708, Durham, NC 27710.

Andrew Mackey

CHARLOTTE - Mr. Andrew Mackey, 84, of 2849 Kenhill Drive, formerly of Lancaster, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Mackey was a member of David Stand AME Zion Church in Lancaster. He was a retired truck driver.

Deanah McCullough

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Deanah Neal McCullough of 304-A Workman Street Apartments died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Baptist Church in Newport, with the Rev. Ronnie Baxter officiating and the Revs. John Simpson and C.S. Sanders assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. McCullough was a native of Chester County. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She was the widow of the Rev. John R. McCullough.

Surviving are five sons, Isaiah McCullough, Robert McCullough and Theodore McCullough, all of Rock Hill, Moses McCullough of Los Angeles, and LeRoy McCullough of Renton, Wash.; four daughters, Dycie M. Reeder, Louise McCullough, Beatrice M. Whittaker and Doris M. Brown, all of Rock Hill; two brothers, Ernest Neal and Herbert Neal, both of Rock Hill; her sister, Carrie Hall of Rock Hill; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Dycie Reeder, 626 Center St., Rock Hill.

The body may be viewed from 7 to 8 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home.

The body will be taken to the church at noon Saturday.

Billie Rowe

FORT MILL - Mrs. Billie Gay O'Daniel Rowe, 69, of 125 E. Elliott St. died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The funeral will be private.

Mrs. Rowe was the co-owner of Rowe Auto Supply. She was a native of Alabama.

Surviving are her husband, William Arthur Rowe Jr. of Fort Mill; three sons, James Rowe of Washington, D.C., Richard Rowe of Jacksonville, Fla., and Daniel Rowe of Fort Mill; her daughter, Melanie Smith of Greenville, N.C.; her brother, James O'Daniel of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

Wolfe Funeral Home is in charge.

Austin Thompson

ROCK HILL - Austin Jah'leel Thompson, the infant son of Cedric B. Thompson and Lachaun G. Campbell, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. today at Clemons Funeral Home. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his brother, Timeatric Campbell; three sisters, Shaquana Scruggs, Breonna Moore and Quineisha Campbell; his paternal grandfather, Sylvester Thompson; and his maternal grandparents, Elaine Hannah of Cheraw and Leroy Ford of Charlotte.

Rita Whitworth

CLOVER - Mrs. Rita Jane Bradham Whitworth, 54, of 213 Killian Circle died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Bethany ARP Church cemetery, with the Rev. Alan Morrow officiating.

Mrs. Whitworth was a member of Bethany ARP Church.

Surviving are two sons, Mark Whitworth and David Hawkins, both of Clover; her daughter, Pamela Beebe of Gastonia, N.C.; two brothers, Charles Bradham of Ohio and Frankie Bradham of Clover; and five grandchildren.

M.L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge.

Albert Wylie

ROCK HILL - Mr. Albert B. Wylie, 86, of 111 Sedgewood Drive died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at Ebenezer Nursing Home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakland Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bo Coleman officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.

Mr. Wylie was a retired architect with McCall Co. and Rock Hill Lumber Co., where he drew plans and supervised the construction of new homes. He attended the Winthrop Training School and was a 1929 graduate of Rock Hill High School. He attended Clemson College Architectural School.

He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church since 1950, where he was a deacon, Training Union director, Sunday school teacher and a church building committee member. He was a member of the Rock Hill Optimist Club where he served as president and was active in the Optimist Club horse shows, the Optimist Club for Boys and the annual Christmas tree sale. He was honored by the Optimist Club for his Optimist Club scrapbook and was elected International Optimist Club president.

Survivors include his daughter, Bette Anne Atkinson of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Bette Anne Atkinson, 872 Susan Circle, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Oakland Baptist Church Preparing for the Future fund, 1067 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
