Willie Mae Simpson

CHESTER - Mrs. Willie Mae Simpson, 79, of Chester died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Chester County Nursing Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Denton Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Ruth Simpson, Center Street Apartments No. 14, Chester.

Dolly Templeton

FORT MILL - Mrs. Dolly Horton Templeton, 82, of 400 Fairway Drive died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at home.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Unity Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dan Holloway officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.

A native of Heath Springs, Mrs. Templeton was a daughter of the late Belton C. Horton and Elizabeth Bruce Horton. She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church and the Dogwood Garden Club of Fort Mill. She attended Lander College and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, William D. Templeton Sr.; her son, W. Davis Templeton Jr. of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Amanda Templeton DiResta of Atlanta and Ellen Templeton Klein of Oak Park, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at home.

Memorials may be made to Unity Presbyterian Church building fund, 303 Tom Hall Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715 or to Fort Mill Care Center, 110 Monroe White St., Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Bass Funeral Home is in charge.

Hezekiah Adams

CLOVER - Mrs. Hezekiah Adams, 73, of 1526 Lawrence Road died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.

Arrangements will be announced by Wright Funeral Home in York.

Henry Childers

HICKORY GROVE - Mr. Henry "Banner" Childers, 94, of Hickory Street died Monday, April 5, 1999, at York Care Facility in York.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James AME Zion Church in Hickory Grove, with the Rev. E. J. Bell officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Hickory Grove, Mr. Childers was a son of the late Bob Lizzer Childers and Mary Jane McKinney Childers. He was the widower of Mabel Dye Childers.

Mr. Childers was a retired farmer. He was chairman of the trustee board and a class leader at St. James AME Zion Church. He was a member of the AP&B Society.

Surviving are two daughters, Guinell S. Hill of High Point, N.C., and Willie Alexander of Bessemer City, N.C.; his sister, Odessa McComeanghy of Salisbury, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of his niece, Carrie Leach, 1120 Hickory St., Hickory Grove.

The body may be viewed from 5 to 7 tonight at Wright Funeral Home in York.

The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.

Arrangements will be announced by Wright Funeral Home.

Jaqualia Daniel

ROCK HILL - Jaqualia Antoinette Daniel, the infant daughter of James Carlton Colvin of Charlotte and Jacquelyn Yvette Daniel of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Foundation AME Zion Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Daran Mitchell officiating.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her brother, Jalen Colvin of Rock Hill; her sister, Latavia Colvin of Charlotte; her maternal grandparents, Freddie and Barbara Daniel of Rock Hill; and her paternal grandfather, James Colvin of Charlotte.

The family will be at the home of Freddie and Barbara Daniel, 411 Marshall St., Rock Hill.

Robinson Funeral Home is in charge.

Mary Eudy

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Mary Lou Ashley Eudy, 85, formerly of 313 Chester Ave. died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at Chester County Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Clarence Fouse officiating.

A native of Pineville, N.C., Mrs. Eudy was a daughter of the late Ben Ashley and Jerrette Broome Ashley. She was retired from J.P. Stevens Co. and was educated in Great Falls schools.

Surviving are her son, Bill Eudy of Rock Hill; her daughter, Betty E. Yarbrough of Great Falls; her brother, Earl Heffner Jr. of Great Falls; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Great Falls Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 466, Great Falls, SC 29055 or West End Baptist Church building fund, 1727 McConnells Highway, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Jesse Faile

CATAWBA - Mr. Jesse Wayne Faile, 73, of 4619 Clemmons Lane died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Sonshine Village.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Kershaw, Mr. Faile was a son of the late William J. Faile and Myrtle Taylor Faile. He was a retired carpenter with Duke Power Co., a Marine veteran of World War II and a member of Catawba United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Branham Faile; his daughter, Alison Faile Henrich of Catawba; two brothers, James D. Faile and Cecil L. Faile, both of Rock Hill; two sisters, Idele McNinch of Chester and Alma Weaver of Rock Hill; and his grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Nancy and Harvey Allen, 753 Rockwood Drive, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.

Frank Johnson

DETROIT - Mr. Frank Johnson, 87, formerly of Chester, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Detroit. Burial will be in Detroit.

Mr. Johnson was a member of Armenia Baptist Church in Chester where he was a former Hymn Choir member. He attended the Chester County public schools and was retired from Chrysler Corp.

Surviving are his wife, Katie Clowney Johnson of Kannapolis, N.C.; three daughters, Leslie Fields of Detroit, Brendanette Johnson of Georgia and Elizabeth Feaster of Chester; four grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.

King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., is in charge of local arrangements.
