Dewey Ramsey Jr.

FORT MILL - Mr. Dewey Lafayette Ramsey Jr., 44, of 1768 Doby's Bridge Road died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. today at Lando Church of God, with the Revs. Jerry Barrineau and Charles LaFoy officiating. Burial will be private.

A native of Chester, Mr. Ramsey was a son of Temmer Hefner Ramsey of Edgemoor and the late Dewey L. Ramsey Sr. He was a shipping and receiving clerk for Sun Chemical in Charlotte. He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and attended York Technical College.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Krystal Moore Ramsey; two sons, B.J. Ramsey and Noah Ramsey, both of Fort Mill; and four sisters, Donna Johnson of Edgemoor, Carol Parrish of Union, Madge Jacobs of Augusta, Ga., and Anita Lyles of Hamlet, N.C.

Memorials may be made to Lando Church of God building fund, P.O. Box 135, Lando, SC 29724.

Mathew Revels

CHESTER - Mr. Mathew James Revels, 82, of 513 Ferrell Ave. died Monday, April 5, 1999, at Chester County Nursing Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Saluda Street Church of God, with the Rev. Dennis E. Reid officiating and the Rev. Will Brown assisting. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

A native of Chester County, Mr. Revels was a son of the late Matt and Sarah Revels. He was a member of the Saluda Street Church of God and was retired from Springs Industries.

Surviving are two daughters, Sherl Grant and Debra Blount, both of Chester; his brother, Tommy Revels of Travelers Rest; three stepsons, Ronald Gilmer of Columbia, Jay Gilmer of Rock Hill and Charles Gilmer of Chester; and three stepdaughters, Doris Black of Fort Lawn and Frances Gheen and Margie Head, both of Chester.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wright's Home for Funerals.

Memorials may be made to the Saluda Street Church of God, 544 Saluda St., Chester, SC 29706.

Willis Robinson

LANCASTER - Mr. Willis Junior "P-Nut" Robinson, 73, of 1616 Oakwood Ave. died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elton Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Lancaster, Mr. Robinson was a son of the late Otis Nicholson and Viola Nicholson. He was a retired salesman for American Bakeries. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church, and Hart Masonic Lodge No. 380, and was a Shriner.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Bowers Robinson; his son, Keith Robinson of Heath Springs; three daughters, Brenda Steele of Ridgeway, and Ren Faulkenberry and Laura Robinson, both of Lancaster; three sisters, Doris Estridge, Maxine Cooper and Josephine Robinson, all of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Martha Sims

LANCASTER - Mrs. Martha Jane Broome "Granny" Sims, 80, of 2589 Old Camden Highway died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at Scottsboro, Ala.

The funeral will be 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Church cemetery.

A native of Kershaw, Mrs. Sims was a daughter of the late William Michael Broome and Neeley Viola Stroud Broome. She was the widow of James Oscar Sims Sr. and was a homemaker and member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her son, James Oscar Sims Jr. of Lancaster; her daughter, Viola Salter of Scottsboro; four sisters, Eva Mae Adams of Rock Hill, Dicie Alsap of Fort Mill, Wilma Plyler of Lancaster and Ethel Mills of Moncks Corner; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Anna Thieszen

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Anna Kroeker Thieszen, 82, of 511 Crescent Leaf Lane died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evangelical Bible Church in Henderson, Neb. Burial will be at Council Union Cemetery in York, Neb.

A native of Henderson, Mrs. Thieszen was a daughter of the late George D. and Anna Peters Kroeker. She was a homemaker and was a member of Faith Evangelical Church. She attended York College.

Surviving are her husband, Gustav Thieszen; two sons, Dr. Milford Eugene Thieszen of Fort Collins, Colo., and Elroy Dean Thieszen of O'Neill, Neb.; two daughters, Verla Lou Unruh of Rock Hill and Twila JoAnn Gillett of Irian Jaya, Indonesia; her brother, George Kroeker of Henderson; two sisters, Elizabeth Franz and Nettie Friefen, both of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

George Watts

CHESTER - Mr. George Franklin "Frank" Watts, 69, of 1115 Rachel Drive died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at home.

A graveside service will be 5 p.m. today at Union ARP Church cemetery in Richburg, with the Rev. David Levister officiating.

A native of Richburg, Mr. Watts was a son of the late John David Watts and Della Jordan Watts. He was retired from Springs Industries. He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and attended the University of South Carolina. He was a member of Union ARP Church.

Surviving are four foster children, Jane Turner, Amanda Sisk and Danny Sisk, all of Chester, and Banks Drennan of Richburg; five brothers, Jordan Watts of Edgemoor, Jim Watts and Bill Watts, both of Chester, Warren "Pappy" Watts of Rodman and Sam Watts of Spartanburg; and four sisters, Della McCorkle of Lando, Margaret McWaters of Richburg, Louise Lathrop of Chester and Joyce Hall of Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210 or Hospice of York County, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Ida Weldon

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Ida Mack Weldon, 84, of 949 Crawford Road died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. L.L. Hancock officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Weldon was a retired domestic worker. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Walls of Rock Hill; her sister, Martha Barnette of Baltimore; her grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday.

The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The family will receive friends at 1221 Parkmont Lane, Rock Hill.
