Randall Bradley

LANCASTER - Mr. Randall Archie "Randy" Bradley, 44, of 1145 Craig Avenue in Arrowood died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Zion United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Frank Lybrand and Tom Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

A native of Lancaster County, Mr. Bradley was a manager for Ryder Systems in Richburg. He also was a Mason, Shriner and a member of the Lancaster Bass Masters.

Mr. Bradley also was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Surviving are his wife, Sheri McLemore Bradley of the home; his mother, Nora Maxine Hinson Bradley of Lancaster; his father, Henry Archie Bradley of Lancaster; two sons, Randall Lee Bradley and Noah Christian Bradley, both of the home; and two sisters, Kitty Bradley Hayes of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Kristie Bradley Jordan of Marshville, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Sibyl Dabney

LANCASTER - Mrs. Sibyl Robinson Dabney, 78, of 606 Gillsbrook Road died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Shane Patrick and Roy Barnes officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Kershaw County, Mrs. Dabney was retired from Springs Industries IE Department and was a member of First Baptist Church and the Oasis Club.

Surviving are her husband, W.T. Dabney; a daughter, Shelby Wright of Lancaster; her brother, the Rev. David L. Robinson of Wagner; two sisters, Mary Lucille Gundaker and Annie Losey, both of Camden; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hartley Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 300 South Market Street, Lancaster, SC 29720 or to Sherwood Baptist Church Building Fund, 1030 Darlene Boulevard, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Margaret Foster

SPARTANBURG - Mrs. Margaret Green Foster, 75, of 109 Keloy St. died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, with Dr. Allen McWhite Sr. and the Rev. Dale Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

A native of Greenville, Mrs. Foster was raised in North Pacolet. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Open Door Sunday school class.

Surviving are her husband, William B. Foster Sr.; her daughter, Brenda F. Taylor of Rock Hill; her son, William B. Foster Jr. of Clemson; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church Debt Retirement Fund, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.

Beatrice Freeman

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Beatrice Vanell Smithers Freeman, 85, died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Stith Funeral Home chapel in Danville, Ky. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.

Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker and member of the Charleston Road Baptist Church in New Albany, Ind.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Freeman of Rock Hill; her son, Rick Freeman of Richmond, Ind.; two daughters, Juanell Freeman Woford of Charlotte and Nancye Freeman Gehlbach of Rock Hill; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home in Danville, Ky.

The family also will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Center in the sun room.

Frances Grant

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Frances "Leatha" Giles Grant, 47, of 280 Grier Lesslie Road died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Chester County Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. W.B. White officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Grove AME Zion Church Cemetery in Chester County.

A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Grant was a 1970 graduate of Rock Hill High and received a bachelor's degree in social work from Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C. She also received a master's degree in social work from the University of South Carolina and a master's degree from Appalachian State University.

Mrs. Grant was a licensed social worker and a medical social worker with the state Department of Health and Environmental Control. She also held teaching positions at Livingstone College and York Technical College in Rock Hill.

She was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church, where she worked in various positions including church clerk, a historian, BTU teacher, children's church council member, member of the senior adult council and counselor for the counseling program committee of the church.

Mrs. Grant also was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, the NAACP, the National Association of Social Workers, the Advisory Committee for March of Dimes, the Board for York County Teen Pregnancy Council and Livingstone College Advisory Board.

Surviving are her husband, Jaquela Grant of the home; her mother, Nannie Whitener of Rock Hill; her father, Fred Giles of Rock Hill; two sisters, Conessa G. Willis of Rock Hill and Wanda G. Edwards of Charlotte; and five stepchildren, Jackie Grant, Lisa Grant, Steven Glenn, Michael Grant and Jerrod Grant.

The Delta Sigma Theta sorority will hold a service at Robinson Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The body may be viewed from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flint Hill Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Livingstone College Scholarship Fund, 700 West Monroe Street, Salisbury, NC 28417.

Mildred O'Bear

LANCASTER - Mrs. Mildred O'Bear died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at McLeod Regional Hospital in Florence.

Arrangements will be announced by Hartley Funeral Home of Lancaster.

J.B. Pierce

ROCK HILL - Mr. J.B. Pierce, 88, of Rock Hill, died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ, with Dr. R. Boyce Wilson and Dr. John A. Basie officiating. Entombment will be at Grandview Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A native of Boswell, Okla., Mr. Pierce was the son of the late Harley P. and Maude Holmes Pierce, and the widower of Nancy Lee Cravens Pierce.

Mr. Pierce was a retired drilling superintendent for Lohman and Johnson Drilling Company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the VFW in Mount Carmel, Ill., and the York Masonic Lodge No. 385, A.F.M.

Surviving are his son, Jim Pierce of Rock Hill; his brother, Willie Joe Pierce of Newark, Texas; two sisters, Myrel Belknap of Burnsville, N.C., and Louise Sitton of Lamont, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill Chapel, and other times at the home of Jim and Sue Pierce, 4358 Inwood Drive, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ, 339 Charlotte Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

George Roof

CHESTER - Mr. George Richard Roof, 61, of Hendersonville, N.C., died Friday, March 26, 1999, at the Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher, N.C.

A graveside service is 3 p.m. today at the Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Jacks officiating.

A native of Chester County, Mr. Roof was a retired textile employee.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Reba Ravencraft Roof of Hendersonville; his son, Keith Wilson of Fort Mill; two daughters, Mrs. Lynn Griffin of Lancaster and Mrs. Lisa R. Wilson of Fort Mill; three sisters, Elizabeth Kirby of Smiths, Ala., Barbara Young of Clinton and Carolyn Wilson of Huntersville, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.

Wright's Home for Funerals is in charge.
