David Truesdale

LANCASTER - Mr. David Lee "Blue" Truesdale, 70, of 603 Saint Paul St. died Thursday, March 11, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Crawford Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Cauthen officiating.

Mr. Truesdale was a Kershaw native and was retired. He was the widower of Nancy Cornelius Truesdale, and the son of the late Matilda Carter and William Lloyd Truesdale.

Surviving are three sisters, Bertha Blunt of Lancaster, Annie Ruth Brown of Charlotte and Bessie Truesdale of New York.

The family will receive friends at noon Tuesday at Crawford Funeral Home.

Robert Workman

ROCK HILL - Mr. Robert Wayne Workman, 53, of 1123 Pinewood Lane died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at the Hospice of Union County, N.C.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with Dr. Mark Verdery officiating. Burial will be at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Workman was a maintenance manager at Speizman Industries.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Yorston Workman of the home; four sons, Owen Workman and Scotty Workman, both of the home, Robert Wayne Workman Jr. of Little River and Charles Workman of Washington; his daughter, Carmen Renee Workman of Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Michael Dixon of Columbia and Tommy Dixon of Oklahoma; three sisters, Linda Cauthen of Liberty Hill, Sheri Pico of Hawaii and Donna Couch of Lancaster; and his stepparents, Hubert and Peggy Dixon of Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.

Bruce Crary

FORT MILL - Mr. Bruce Michael Crary, 50, of 1560 Lighthouse Ave. died April 4, 1998, in Los Angeles.

The funeral will be Saturday at Christ Church cemetery in Charleston, with the Rev. George Browder and a friend, Jeannette Collins, officiating.

A native of Bremen, Germany, Mr. Crary was the son of Ruth Morgan Crary of Fort Mill and the late Millerd Filmore Crary. He was a graduate of Fort Mill High School and had a degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina. During his college years, he worked summers at Bartlet Farms and Springs Mills. His hobbies were painting and sculpture and he was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his sister, Ardythe Goergens-Moriana of Los Angeles.

Wolfe Funeral Home is in charge.

Willie Greens

FORT MILL - Mrs. Willie M. Greens of 207 Cinda St. died Monday, March 15, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

Arrangements will be announced by Clemons Funeral Home.

John Hinson

LANCASTER - Mr. John Baskins Hinson, 75, of 1158 Bailey Road died Monday, March 15, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Revs. Buford Hayes and Bill Parker officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Lancaster, Mr. Hinson was the son of the late Amos and Connie Hinson Blackmon. He was retired from Hinson Body Shop, was a farmer and was a member of Jones Crossroads Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son, Mike Hinson of Lancaster; three daughters, Dianne Phillips, Kathy Johnson and Mary Beth Hoffman, all of Lancaster; two brothers, Sam Hinson and Ben Blackmon, both of Lancaster; three sisters, Polly Walters, Marian Hough and Lula Snipes, all of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 800 W. Meeting St., Lancaster, SC 29720.

Connie Howze

BRONX, N.Y. - Mr. Connie R. Howze of 1072 Finley Ave. died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in New York.

The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Z.B. Wells officiating. Burial will be at Rehoboth AME Zion Church cemetery in Chester.

Mr. Howze was a native of York County. He was a courier for Grace Messenger Service in New York and attended Emmett Scott High School.

Surviving are his mother, Katherine B. Howze of Rock Hill; five sisters, Sadie Jones and Betty Howze, both of Bronx, Janie Owens of Chester, Ruby Perry of Morrison, Colo., and Bobbie Howze of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home and at other times at 225 Twitty Court, Rock Hill.

Robert Lindsay Sr.

CHESTER - Mr. Robert Henry Lindsay Sr., 87, of 1840 Orrs Station Road died Monday, March 15, 1999, at Chester County Hospital.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Orrs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Curtis Marshall officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

A native of Fairfield County, Mr. Lindsay was the son of the late James William Lindsay Sr. and Annie Boulware Lindsay. He was retired from Springs Industries. He attended Chester County schools and was a member of Orrs Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Owens Lindsay; his son, Robert H. Lindsay Jr. of Lancaster; his daughter, Betty L. Revels of Chester; two brothers, Thomas B. Lindsay Sr. of Chester and Ralph E. Lindsay of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; three sisters, Pauline L. Ford of Chester, Dorothy L. Thomas of Jackson, N.J., and Margaret L. Orr of Chester; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Barron Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Revels, 1639 Orrs Station Road, Chester.

Memorials may be made to Orrs Baptist Church, 1266 Lancaster Highway, Chester, SC 29706.
