Harry Cook

YORK - Mr. Harry John Cook, 45, of 3000 Bailes Road died Wednesday, March 10, 1999.

Arrangements will be announced by York Funeral Home.

Richard Fazio

FORT MILL - Mr. Richard Fazio, 56, of 716 Sunland Drive died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at Mercy Hospital South in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Petykiewicz, Iocovizzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, N.Y. The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. at the Church of Saints Anthony and Joseph, with the Revs. Robert Shinos and Wiliam Lorenz and Monsignor H. Charles Sewell officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Fazio was born in Schenectady, N.Y., and was the son of the late Frank and Catherine Perry Fazio. He graduated from Herkimer High School in 1960 and later received a bachelor's degree in business from SUNY, Marcy. He served with the New York State National Guard for 10 years and was an inventory control officer for Chicago Pneumatic for 35 years. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Church in Fort Mill, the Church of Saints Anthony and Joseph in Herkimer and Our Lady of Lourdes in Utica, N.Y.

Surviving are his wife, Michele Fazio; two sons, Jamie Fazio of Rochester, N.Y., and Jason Fazio of Utica; two daughters, Kristen Marie Fazio of Frankfort, N.Y., and Jaclyn Fazio of Utica, N.Y., and Fort Mill; and his granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Petykiewicz, Iocovizzi & Burns Funeral Home.

Harold Forrester

ROCK HILL - The Rev. Harold Butler Forrester, 82, formerly of Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Ebenezer Nursing Home in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mahaffey Funeral Home, with the Revs. Marion Dry and James F. Adams officiating. Burial will be at Fork Hill Baptist Church.

A native of Greer, Mr. Forrester was the son of the late Perry and Docia Belcher Forrester. He was the widower of Gladys Wright Forrester. He was a retired Baptist minister and served 27 years at Bethel Baptist Church. He served at Mush Creek Baptist Church in the North Greenville Association for four years. He was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church in Heath Springs and served in the Air Force.

Surviving are his son, Donald Ray "Don" Forrester Sr. of Fort Mill; his brother, Vello M. Forrester of Greenville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 tonight at Mahaffey Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Don Forrester, 1101 Camp Cox Creek, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

William Funderburke

LANCASTER - Mr. William Howard "Bill" Funderburke, 79, of 1370 Springdale Road died Tuesday, March, 9, 1999, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. James D. Spencer III officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Lancaster, Mr. Funderburke was the son of the late J.F. and Mae Gregory Funderburke. He was a retired accountant for Springs Industries and a member of the Lancaster Amateur Radio Club. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years and was a deacon.

Surviving are his wife, Mavis Hardin Funderburke; his stepmother, Valada Funderburke of Sumter; and his stepsister, Claudia Buchanan of Marietta, Ga.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Mahaffey Funeral Home.

Kelly Hambrick

SYLVA, N.C. - Ms. Kelly Ann Hambrick, 30, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Sylva, with the Rev. Ed Beddington officiating.

A native of Sylva, Ms. Hambrick was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Ton? Hambrick and Matthew Hambrick, both of the home; her father, Daryl Hambrick of Harrisburg, N.C.; her mother, Doris Mackey of Sylva; six brothers, Randy Mackey, Rusty Hambrick, Chris Seago, Tony Cabe and Randy Cabe, all of Sylva, and Bart Poole of Harrisburg; three sisters, Angel Parris and Diane Beck, both of Sylva, and Katie Poole of Harrisburg; her paternal grandmother, Margie Hambrick of Harrisburg; her maternal grandparents, George and Irene Mackey of Rock Hill; and her stepmother, Sharyn Hambrick of Harrisburg.

The family will receive friends at the church after the memorial service.

Memorials may be made to Together We Grow Fund at First Baptist Church of Sylva, P.O. Drawer 1024, Sylva, NC 28779.

David Neill

CHARLOTTE - Mr. David Moore Neill, 71, died Wednesday, March, 10, 1999, at Mercy Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Harry and Bryant Co., 500 Providence Road, with the Revs. Terry Swicegood and George Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain, N.C.

Born in Charlotte, Mr. Neill was the son of the late Buren Schuford Neill and Elizabeth McComb Neill. He received a bachelor's degree in business from Davidson College, where he played basketball and football, and later attended Northwestern University. His career in banking included working as senior vice president and trust officer at NCNB and First Union, as well as writing a financial planning column for the Charlotte News. He started his own business in the late 1960s. Mr. Neill was a charter member of Providence United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school, and was a Little League coach. He was the widower of Jean Webb Neill.

Surviving are his wife, Cleone B. Neill; four daughters, Libby Sturgis of Rock Hill, and Kathy Herran, Allison Richardson and Stephanie Neill, all of Charlotte; his brother Robert H. Neill of Charlotte; his sister, Elizabeth Fortune of Blowing Rock, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Harry and Bryant Co.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1300 Baxter St., Charlotte, NC 28204 or to Davidson College, 102 N. Main St., Davidson, NC 28036 or to Central YMCA, 400 E. Morehead St., Charlotte, NC 28202 or to the charity of one's choice.

John Roddey

ROCK HILL - Mr. John Roddey, 97, of Springvalley Road died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Ebenezer Nursing Home.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. William Pender officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Roddey was the son of the late William Joseph and Mary Perry Dunlap Roddey. He was a graduate of Winthrop Training School, attended Davidson College and then transferred to the University of South Carolina, where he graduated. Mr. Roddey was a charter member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church and a deacon. He was president of Roddey Investments, was president of the YMCA and was on the YMCA board for many years. He was a Salvation Army board member, a Rotarian, and an Elks Club member. He also raised quail.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Richards Roddey; two sons, Jack Roddey of Rock Hill and J.G. Richards Roddey of Kiawah; his daughter, Bettie Gatewood Roddey Kistler of the home; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bass Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church or to the Mountain Retreat Association, Montreat, NC 28757.
