Boykin Clark

CHESTER - Mr. Boykin Thomas "Cookie" Clark, 63, of 2829 Pilgrim Road died Monday, March 1, 1999, at the home of his niece, Lucinda C. Worthy.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Gethsemane Baptist Church, with the Rev. E.E. Vance officiating and the Rev. Dr. C.D. Pratt and the Rev. Dennis Jackson assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Clark was a native of Chester County. He was a former employee of Sun Chemical Corp. He was retired from the South Carolina State Department of Transportation. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He attended Finley High School.

Surviving are his son, George T. Head of Detroit; two daughters, Bernice Walker Wright of Chester and Earline Ervin of Charlotte; his brother, Hilliard K. Clark Sr. of Chester; his devote friend, Geneva Hall of Chester.

The family will receive friends at 2829 Pilgrim Road.

The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Denton Funeral Home is in charge.

Walter Froehlich

FORT MILL - Mr. Walter Howard Froehlich of 9332 Horseshoe Circle died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at his home.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Higher Ground Church in Indian Land, with the Rev. Steve Jacks officiating.

A native of California, Mr. Froehlich was an Army veteran of World War II. He was co-owner of H.C. Lein Rubber Co. in Los Angeles.

Surviving are his wife, Dolores J. Froehlich; his son, Dean H. Froehlich of the home; two daughters, Julie Ann Roberts of Rialto, Calif., and Kathlyn Jean Poncino of Mission Viejo, Calif.; his brother, Maurice Froehlich of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; his sister, Aldene Longmuir of Buena Park, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at home after the memorial service.

Memorials may be made to Higher Ground Church, P.O. Box 277, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Fort Mill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth McCammon

CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Elizabeth Ann McCammon, 82, died Thursday, March, 4, 1999, at Mercy Hospital.

The graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill.

A native of Lancaster County, Mrs. McCammon was the daughter of the late George and Dora Pittman Humphries. She was the widow of James R. McCammon.

Surviving are her son, James R. McCammon Jr. of Rutherford, N.C.; her brother, Homer L. Humphries of Charlotte; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the service.

Memorials may be made to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204 or to Dacus Library, Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC 29733.

Carolina Funeral & Cremation Center is in charge.

Eva McCaw

ROCK HILL - Ms. Eva Jane McCaw of 1129 Parkmont Lane died Wednesday, March, 3, 1999, at Magnolia Manor.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at China Grove AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Johnny Worthy officiating and the Revs. Charles Crockett and Norris Long assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Ms. McCaw attended the public schools of York County. She was a member of China Grove AME Zion Church. She was a former secretary for the church.

Surviving are two sons, Albert D. McCaw of Charlotte and Vernon McCaw of Far Rockaway, N.Y.; her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Lee of Rock Hill; three sisters, Jessie M. Young and Edna M. Davis, both of Charlotte and Raye Mayfield of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed from 4 to 6 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home.

The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Gladys Neal

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Gladys Boone Neal, 72, of 714 Cedar St. died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be private.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge.

Nannie Roseborough

CHESTER - Mrs. Nannie Roseborough died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at White Oak Manor Nursing Home in Rock Hill.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Christopher King's Funeral Home, 703 Old York Road.

The family will receive friends at the home of Alma Wilkes and Wilson Pendergrass, 3903 Woodrow Drive, Wilksburg Community.

Ralph Stone

CATAWBA - Mr. Ralph Raymond Stone, 56, of 736 Cedar Valley, Lot 60, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The graveside service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Stone was the son of Samuel S. Stone and the late Dorothy Harrill Stone. He was retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. with 34 years of service and he also worked in the Sears Automotive Department for 22 years.

Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Jane Neely Stone; his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Stone of the home; his son, John Raymond Stone of Rock Hill; his stepmother, Virginia J. Stone of Rock Hill; three brothers, Kenneth S. Stone of York, Thomas R. Stone of Elliston, Va., and Johnny D. Stone of Edgemoor; two sisters, Gloria S. Weaver and Patsy S. Merritt, both of Rock Hill; his step brother, Clarence Jenkins of Rock Hill; and two step sisters, Katherine Jenkins and Nancy J. Lowery, both of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his sister, Patsy S. Merritt, 2054 Highwood Road, Rock Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ralph R. Stone Memorial Fund, c/o Greene Funeral Home, P.O. Box 11549, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
