Lee Reid

CLOVER - Mrs. Lee Anna Cook Reid, 89, formerly of 603 N. Main St., died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Cumberland, Md.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover, with the Rev. Mark Collins officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Mrs. Reid was the widow of Lloyd LeeRoy Reid. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Clover. She recently had been a resident at Dawn View Nursing Home at Fort Ashby, W. Va.

Surviving are her son, W. Paul Cook of Keyser, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

Gene Cranford

AVONDALE ESTATES, Ga. - Mr. Gene M. Cranford, 66, died Feb. 19, 1999.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Callahan officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Cranford was a salesman with Embalmers Supply Co., a member of Avondale Pattillio United Methodist Church and a member of Yaarab Shrine Temple.

Surviving are his son, Mac Cranford of Covington, Ga.; his daughter, Lori Whitley of Albany, Ga.; his fiancee, Martha Rodi of Avondale Estates, Ga.; two sisters, Marie Morton and Virginia Treadway, both of Rock Hill; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at A.S. Turner & Sons.

Kenneth Davis

YORK - Mr. Kenneth Davis of 1 Center St. died Friday, Jan. 19, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wright Funeral Home.

John Gardner Jr.

LANCASTER - Mr. John Bunyan "Dangur" Gardner Jr., 70, of 324 Providence Road died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. today at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Carlos Gardner and Tony Adams officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Gardner was retired from Springs Foundry and the American Foundry in Lancaster as a metallurgist and superintendent of melting and pouring. He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church..

Surviving are his wife, Louise Cauthen Gardner; two daughters, Becky Collins and Lynne Lloyd, both of Lancaster; her brother, C.B. Gardner of Lancaster; two sisters, Gertie Shelton of Goose Creek and Betty Pate of Camden; five grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or to HomeCare Hospice, 800 W. Meeting St., Lancaster, SC 29720.

Hartley Funeral Home is in charge.

Jimmie Lee

LANCASTER - Mr. Jimmie E. Lee, 64, of 2550 Hemlock Road died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Westside Cemetery, with Roger Anders officiating.

Mr. Lee was retired from the Catawba Fish Camp, where he was a cook.

Surviving are his brother, Donald Totherow of Lancaster; and two sisters, Sadie P. Hoffman and Carlein Hatfield, both of Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Stella Mitchell

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Stella Mae Fry Mitchell, 90, of 770 Schuyler Ave. died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The memorial service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Self officiating. Burial will be in El Cajon, Calif.

A native of Rising Star, Texas, Mrs. Mitchell was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her son, Roy Mitchell of Rock Hill; her brother, Travis Fry of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

Memorials may be made to Woodvale Baptist Church, 1538 Springsteen Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Jack O'Neal

ROCK HILL - Mr. Jack Edward O'Neal, 81, of 330 Pickens St. died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Bass Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Hogg and the Rev. Dr. Sollie Hicks officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla.

Mr. O'Neal served in the Air Force 44th Fighter Squadron in the South Pacific in World War II. He was 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and member of Morocco Temple. He was a member of Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Fla. He retired from Chevron Oil Co. after 40 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Edna Greene O'Neal; his son, Micheal O'Neal; two daughters, Gayle Chupp and Susan Gay, both of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; and his great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at home.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Forward by Faith, 215 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Bass Funeral Home is in charge.
