Danny Robinson

YORK - Mr. Danny Ray Robinson, 46, of 385 Giles Road died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Harry Widener officiating and the Revs. William Bernie Lewis and Dr. D.R. Buchanan assisting. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Robinson was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era and served in Germany. He was an auto body repair man and worked at Clinton Family Ford for more than 23 years. He was a sportsman and member of Bear Branch Hunting club, the McConnells Hunting Club and a life member of Buckmasters. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Rock Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly F. Robinson; his son, Danny R. Robinson Jr. of the home; two daughters, Jesica R. Speer of Raleigh, N.C., and Jennifer Cristina "Crissy" Robinson of Rock Hill; two brothers, Johnny Robinson of Rock Hill and Buford L. Robinson of Moncure, N.C.; and four sisters, Mildred Taylor, Marlene Brookshire Hinson and Connie Mungo, all of Rock Hill, and Sue R. Rabon of Catawba.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home.

Jake Price Sr.

GREAT FALLS - Mr. Jake Price Sr., 59, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Paradise AME Zion Church, with the Rev. J.E. Long officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Baptist Church in the Halsevile Community in Chester.

A native of Chester, Mr. Price was retired from the S.C. State Highway Department and was a member of Paradise AME Zion Church.

Surviving are his wife, Bobbie Jean Boulware Price of the home; four sons, Leon Price of Great Falls, Terry Price of the home, Jake Price of Lancaster and Vernon Price of Great Falls; three daughters, Betty Brown of Lancaster, Teresa Price of the home and Janice Price of Great Falls; two brothers, Kevin McNeil of Chester and Peter McNeil of the Bronx, N.Y.; his sister, Mary Wright of Chester; his special friend, Willie Dooley of Great Falls; and 16 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls.

Mildred Boulware

CHESTER - Mrs. Mildred Clowney "Mutt" Boulware, 81, of 103 Courtland St. died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at Westminster Health Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Barron Funeral chapel, with the Rev. Clay Wadrip officiating. Burial will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens.

A native of Blair, Mrs. Boulware was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of the Chester First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Sallie Bagby Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of the Monticello High School in Fairfield County. She was the widow of Jefferson T. Boulware Sr.

Surviving are two sons, Jefferson Boulware of Fort Mill and John William Boulware of Aiken; three brothers, Spratt Clowney of Blair, Bill Clowney of Union and Sammy Clowney of Rock Hill; two sisters, Ida Brooks of Chester and Mary Julia Killian of Chester; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Barron Funeral Home.

Corrie Cody

LAMAR - Mrs. Corrie Lee Watford Cody, 88, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today in Lakeview Memorial Gardens in York.

A native of Lamar, Mrs. Cody was the director of the York County Health Department and did volunteer work at the York County Library. She was a graduate of Lamar High School and the McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing and did her graduate study in public health nursing at William & Mary College.

Mrs. Cody was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the widow of Earl Cody.

Surviving are her sister, Elena Watford Fields of Lamar; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Methodist Manor of the Pee Dee, 2100 Twin Church Road, Florence, SC 29501.

Belk Funeral Home in Darlington is in charge.

Ray Gaston

CHESTER - Mr. Ray Harden Gaston, 81, of 1112 Quail Hollow Circle died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at Chester County Hospital.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Monday at the Barron Funeral chapel. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

A native of Chester, Mr. Gaston was retired from Springs Industries. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church and was educated in the public schools of Chester County.

Surviving are his wife, Annegret W. Gaston; two daughters, Rita Bailey and Mary Ann Reese, both of Chester; three sisters, Sadie Melton of Chester, and Virgie Tracy and Susie Gregory, both of Union; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren..

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

William Lucas

YORK - William Camron Lee Lucas, infant son of Crystal Lucas and Brandon Owie, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. today at Bass Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rick Martin officiating.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandparents, Franklin Lucas Jr. and Rosa P. Lucas of York; his maternal great-grandfather, Franklin Lucas Sr. of Rock Hill; his paternal grandfather, Jeff Owie of York; and his paternal great-grandmother, Eva Dyer of York.

The family will receive friends at the home of Franklin Lucas Jr. at 1325 Meadow Bend Drive in York.

Dessree Parker

YORK - Mrs. Dessree Wisher Parker, 80, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Church of God of Prophecy, with the Rev. Richard Pitts officiating and the Revs. Billy McCugan and Ernest Session assisting. Burial will be at the Beersheba Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

A native of Cherokee Falls, Mrs. Parker was a homemaker and the widow of Simon Martin and Marvin Parker. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are four sons, Dude Martin, Paul Martin, Ronald Martin and Donald Martin, all of York; three daughters, Virgie Mae Ard of York, Mae Parker of Pompaco and Hazel Rowell of Sumerton; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the York Funeral Home.
