Patricia Klingaman

FORT MILL - Ms. Patricia Anne Klingaman, 55, formerly of Rock Hill and Lancaster, died Monday, March 23, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at The Episcopal Church of Our Saviour.

Ms. Klingaman was active with Brownie and Girl Scouts, Sunday school, and Montessori education. She was a lay Eucharistic minister and had been active in the civil rights movement. She was born in Chicago Heights, Ill.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Dingler of Rock Hill and Beth Welte of Chesnee; six sisters, Marianne Perkins, Janet Holland, Bridget Barrera, Laurie Ross and Peggy Missildine, all of California, and Kathleen Mayo of Florida.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after the service.

Memorial can be made to Pilgrims' Inn, P.O. Box 11328, Rock Hill, SC 29731.

John Sanders

GREAT FALLS - Mr. John L. Sanders, 64, of Route 1 Box 1220 Catawba Road died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at his home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Rock Hill Baptist Church in Winnsboro, with the Rev. D. Chisholm officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Sanders was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church. He was formerly employed with Duke Power Co.

Surviving are two sons, Donnie Sanders and Ronnie Sanders, both of the home; his daughter, Vivian Sanders of Columbia; his brother, David Sanders of Winnsboro; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 7:30 tonight at Washington Funeral Home.

Janie Walker

PHILADELPHIA - Mrs. Janie D. Walker, 81, formerly of Rock Hill, died Sunday, March 22, 1998.

The funeral will be Friday at Memorial Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Burial will be in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Friendship Junior College. She earned her master's degree from Temple University and was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in York County. She attended York County public schools.

Surviving are her daughter, Glenecey Jones of Philadelphia; two sisters, Ola D. Hinton of Rock Hill and Mary D. Howard of Patterson, N.J.; and four grandchildren.

Robinson Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.

Geneva White

CHESTER - Mrs. Geneva Dickerson White, 85, formerly of Dupree Street, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at Chester County Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, with Dr. George Fitzgerald officiating.

Born in Shelton, Mrs. White was retired from Springs Industries. She was a member of Purity Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her brother, Mack D. Dickerson of Blair; and two sisters, Izzie D. Fuller of Cleveland, Ohio, and Hattie D. Lind of Stanwood, Wash.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Martha Blalock

YORK - Mrs. Martha Jane Blalock, 82, of 4 Hillcrest St., died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at her home.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Laurelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Fox officiating.

Born in Rock Hill, Mrs. Blalock was a graduate of Rock Hill High School. She was retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Co. with 30 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Surviving is her sister, Sarah Louise Blalock of the home.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1330 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Joe D. Brice

CHESTER - Mr. Joe D. Brice, 74, of 802 Meadowbrook Road, died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at King's Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.E. Darby officiating. Burial will be at Piney Grove Baptist Church cemetery.

A Chester native, Mr. Brice was a retired construction worker. He attended Chester County public schools. He was of Baptist faith.

Surviving are three sons, Leroy Boyd and Joe Ned Boyd, both of the home, and Johnny Boyd of Chester; his daughter, Mattie M. Boyd of Chester; two brothers, Lewis Boyd and J.C. Brice, both of Chester; his sister, Marie Lightner of Carlisle; and his grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Felix Gist Jr.

UNION, N.J. - Mr. Felix Gist Jr., formerly of Chester, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Aenon Baptist Church, Bauxhaul, N.J. Burial will be in New Jersey.

A Chester County native, Mr. Gist was a member of Blackrock Baptist Church, Chester, and later a member of Aenon Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Gist of the home; his son, Calvin Gist of Union; two daughters, Philine Gist of Washington, D.C., and Seliva Gist of Union; and his mother, Willie Gist of Union.

Drew Funeral Home of Newark, N.J., is in charge.

Denton Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
