Leroy Throne

FORT MILL - Mr. Leroy Throne of 116 Avery St. died Monday, May 11, 1998, at his home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home.

Margaret Dunlap

MORGANTON, N.C. - Miss Margaret Annette Dunlap, 38, of Morganton died Friday, May 8, 1998, at Western Carolina Center.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Greer Funeral Home in Charlotte. Burial will be at Beatties Ford Garden.

Surviving are her father Grant Dunlap of York; her mother, Betty Lowry Dunlap of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and her brother, Elmer Dunlap of Rocky Mount.

Sarah Faulkenberry

KERSHAW - Mrs. Sarah Corrine Faulkenberry died Monday, May 11, 1998, at Bethea Baptist Home in Darlington.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mrs. Faulkenberry graduated with a bachelor of science degree with double majors and double minors in 1940 from Winthrop College. She taught at the Baron DeKalb School and Kershaw High School before retirement.

She was the widow of Dr. Woodrow Faulkenberry.

Surviving are her son, Daryl W. Faulkenberry of Murrells Inlet; her daughter, Sonya Martinkus of Lakeland, Fla.; and her granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Bethea Baptist Home in Darlington.

Lee Rister

BLYTHEWOOD - Mr. Lee Ulysses Rister, 74, of Blythewood died Monday, May 11, 1998.

The graveside service will be 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, with seminarian David Klappenbach officiating.

Mr. Rister was a retired civil service employee with the ordnance department of Fort Jackson. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a former employee of Farmer's Cooperative Exchange. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Jane Steward Rister; three daughters, Jane E. Cockrell of Batesburg, and Charlene Meetze and Vicki Fulmer, both of Blythewood; his mother, Corrie Elberta Slice Rister of Chapin; his sister, Bleeka Byrd of Chapin; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home in Columbia.

Eugene Sullivan

ROCK HILL - Mr. Eugene Alvin Sullivan, 57, of 1634 Nicholson Ave. died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Cauthen Funeral Home.

Ethel Bowen

ESCONDIDO, Calif. - Mrs. Ethel Mae Bowen, 59, formerly of Shelby, N.C., died Wednesday, April 29, 1998, in Escondido.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Crosswind Church in San Marco, Calif. Burial will be private.

Surviving are her her husband, Forrest William Bowen; her son, Michael W. Bowen of Escondido; three daughters, Yvonne Cook of Temecula, Calif., and Kathy Mistowski and Teresa Kay Valigura, both of Escondido; her mother, Zennie May Hamrick of Earl, N.C.; five brothers, Dennis Hamrick of Earl, N.C., Benton Hamrick and Ray Hamrick, both of Rock Hill, and Harold Hamrick and Floyd Hamrick, both of Rock Hill; two sisters, Patricia Hamrick of Shelby, N.C., and Nancy Ledbetter of Boiling Springs, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.

McLeod Mortuary is in charge.

Annie Hicklin

CHESTER - Miss Annie E. Hicklin, 74, of 1355 Hicklin Road died Saturday, May 2, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Mary G. Kearse officiating.

Born in Chester County, Miss Hicklin was a member of Armenia United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her sister, Blanche H. Phillips of Chester; and her niece, Judy H. Phillips, of the home.

The family will receive friends at the home tonight.

Memorials may be made to the Armenia United Methodist Church parking lot fund, Armenia Road, Chester, SC 29706.

Wright's Home for Funerals Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Stephen Peach

LANCASTER - Mr. Stephen Dennis "Danny" Peach, 44, of 3060 Camp Creek Road died Saturday, May 2, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hartley Funeral Home, with the Revs. Cecil Johnson and Jerry Broughton officiating. Burial will be at Camp Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

Born in Lancaster County, Mr. Peach was a machine operator in the screen printing department at Springs Industries' Grace Bleachery. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Huffman Peach; two daughters, Tracy Carol Peach and Taylor Ann Peach, both of the home; two sons, Roger Dale Peach of Columbia and Charles Daniel Peach of Lancaster; his mother, Claudia Broughton of Kershaw; three brothers, Byron G. Peach and Mike Broughton, both of Kershaw, and Robert W. Peach of Los Alamos, N.M.; and two sisters, Becky Tutton of North Augusta and Wanda Williams of Kershaw.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.
