Charles Dillingham

CLOVER - Mr. Charles Huey Dillingham, 82, of 257 Flatstone Drive died Saturday, May 23, 1998, at his home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at M. L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Abel officiating. Burial will be in Beersheba Presbyterian Church cemetery.

A native of York, Mr. Dillingham was retired from Community Cash in Clover.

Surviving are two sons, Huey Dillingham of Clover and Eddie Dillingham of York; three daughters, Francis Hoyle and Brenda Burrell, both of Clover, and Donna Gould of York; his brother, Floyd Dillingham of York; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at M. L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Clover Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 214, Clover, SC 29710.

Floyd Gainer

LANCASTER - Mr. Floyd Daniel Gainer, 79, of 4549 J.B. Denton Road died Saturday, May 23, 1998, at his home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the New Hope Baptist Church, with the Revs. Grady Ghent and W. Harold Owens officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Baptist Church cemetery.

A Lancaster native, Mr. Gainer was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was retired from Springs Industries.

Surviving are his wife, Ida B. Deese Gainer; his son, Glenn Gainer of Lancaster; his daughter, Linda Nicholson of Ruby; three brothers, Curtis Gainer, Elliot Gainer and Jerry Gainer, all of Lancaster; two sisters, Eunice Snipes and Ellen Snipes, both of Lancaster; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel, and at other times at the home.

Willie Gill

YORK - Mr. Willie Gill, 81, died Friday, May 22, 1998, at White Oak Manor.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Generation Funeral Home Chapel in Clover, with the Rev. Sammy Lee Tate officiating.

Surviving are his wife, Jeffie Mae Gill of Gastonia, N.C.; his son, William Gill of Gastonia; his daughter, Betty Crawford of Gastonia; two brothers, Ulysses Gill of Clover and Joe Thomas Gill of St. Petersburg, Fla.; his sister, Mary Lee Mackins of Clover; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Mary Lee Mackins at 104 Flat Rock St., Clover.

Terry Grissom

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Terry Ann Grissom, 50, of 2072 Fairhill Circle died Saturday, May 23, 1998, at her home.

The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the India Hook United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ben Barnett officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Born in Charlotte, Mrs. Grissom was a legal secretary for Transport Clearing. She was a member of India Hook United Methodist Church and taught children's church. She was also a member of the Knights Booster Club, the Newport Booster Club and the Trojans Booster Club.

Surviving are her husband, Edward W. Grissom; her son, Brian Grissom of the home; three daughters, Crystal Yonce and Pamela Garland, both of Rock Hill, and Lori Grissom of the home; her brother, Charles E. LeNeave of Vass, N.C.; two sisters, Virginia Bryan and Betty Davis of Charlotte; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bass Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Orie Knight

KERSHAW - Mr. Orie Lee Knight, 84, of 6882 Sand Hill Road died Friday, May 22, 1998, at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at the Sand Hill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Archie Neal and Hugh McKinney officiating. Burial will be at the Kershaw City Cemetery.

A native of Kershaw, Mr. Knight was a member of the Sand Hill Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II. He served in the 30th Infantry Division and was awarded a Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts.

Surviving are his daughter, Jerry Anne Faulkenberry of Kershaw; two sisters, Allen K. Schneider of Kershaw and Thelma Pitts of Lancaster; and two grandchildren.

The family received friends at Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel, on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the Sand Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 23, Kershaw, SC 29067.

Virginia Shillinglaw

SHARON - Mrs. Virginia Sinclair Shillinglaw, 89, of 3543 Shillinglaw Road died Friday, May 22, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with the Rev. A.B. Plaxico officiating.

Mrs. Shillinglaw was the retired manager of the Sharon School cafeteria and a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her son, Fredrick Shillinglaw of Sharon; her daughter, Ramona Shillinglaw Hope of Sharon; her brother, George P. Sinclair of Clover; three sisters, Ethel S. Beamguard of Clover, Ruth S. Love of Greenville and Alice S. McAfee of York; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.

Memorials may be made to the Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Memorial/Cemetery Association, 3852 Woodlawn St., Sharon, SC 29742.

Lula White

FORT MILL - Mrs. Lula B. "Tine" White, 76, of 105 Ralph Bunch St. died Thursday, May 21, 1998, at her home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Jerusalem Baptist Church, with the Rev. M.N. Baxter officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery.

A native of Lancaster, Mrs. White was retired.

Surviving are two sisters, Willie Alberta Curry of Lancaster and Beulah Mae Carter of Washington.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jerusalem Baptist Church and other times at 1927 Barbara Rosa Drive, Lancaster.

Crawford Funeral Home in Lancaster is in charge.
